Blizzard Entertainment has revealed a bunch of interesting details regarding Diablo 4’s character art, which has greatly changed from Diablo 3. In the new Quarterly update, game director Luis Barriga said the look of the game’s classes had always been “one of Diablo’s secret ingredients.” Diablo 4 will offer the players more customization options than ever before – so that your Barbarian will be very different from anyone else’s, yet still undeniably feels like a Barbarian....

Before Dirty John, the Netflix dramatisation, came Dirty John the wildly popular LA Times podcast featuring the real voices of Debra Newell and her family and hosted by award winning journalist Christopher Goffrey. The podcast has been downloaded over 50 million times and while the Netflix version starring Connie Britton and Eric Bana had a glossy, trashy appeal it couldn’t live up to the podcast both for being not actually real, and also too tethered to the real, never quite being able to reach the full on bonkersness of fiction series like You....

Arkane Studios’ Dishonored 2 gets a new official gameplay trailer reveal at E3 2016, and Bethesda’s newest stealth-based game looks like a worthy successor to the series. It speaks volumes for a game like Dishonored 2 when it’s chosen to close the E3 2016 presentation of a company as huge as Bethesda. On a night where the publishing giant featured games like The Elder Scrolls: Legends, a brand new Quake, and a Skyrim: Special Edition remaster for current-generation consoles, it was Arkane Studios’ Dishonored 2 that took center stage and ended the conference on a high note....

In an unexpected turn of events, Disney Tsum Tsum Festival will cross the Pacific and arrive in North America this November. Last week, we found out that Nintendo is bringing Disney Tsum Tsum Festival over to the Switch in a new bundle that includes a Disney-themed hybrid console. Tsum Tsum is a Japanese brand of cute toys and mobile games, so when we didn’t hear about any worldwide release, we assumed that the game would remain in Japan....

The holidays may be over, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop. Thanks in no small part to the Spike Video Game Awards, the dead of Winter has become a hot time to reveal new games. What’s next? Before the end of the week, we’ll know about a brand new game coming from an unexpected developer, but what could it be? The game in question is set to be unveiled two days from now on January 5th, and will be featured on the next cover of Game Informer magazine....

Guy Beahm, best known for his uber-popular Twitch persona Dr DisRespect, has become the subject of intense internet speculation after he was banned from the streaming platform on June 26. Three weeks after his suspension, Twitch has yet to give a concrete reason behind the suspension beyond a general statement on the matter. “As is our process, we take appropriate action when we have evidence that a streamer has acted in violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service,” Twitch said at the time....

Dragon Age: Origins is not just unique for being the first title in the Dragon Age series. It also is the only Dragon Age game to have the popular origin stories. While there were only three races to choose from (human, dwarf, and elf), players also got to choose the characters’ cultural background for them. Humans could be mages or nobles, dwarves had commoners and nobles, and elves had city elves, the Dalish, and mage elves....

The close of Dragon Age: Inquisition saw the advent of a new Divine in the Andrastian Chantry, with one of three allies to the Inquisitor ascending as a result of the player’s actions throughout the game: Leliana, the former Divine’s left hand; Cassandra, the Divine’s right hand and head of the Seekers of Truth; and Vivienne, an Orlesian mage who served as advisor to its Empress Celene. Each of Dragon Age: Inquisition’s conclusions lead the Chantry down different paths, and the results of this could have huge ramifications for the conflicts that players may take part in for Dragon Age 4....

Hunters, bullies, and raiders, bugbears are formidable enemies to any Dungeons & Dragons party. Unlike other legacy creatures, they haven’t skipped any Dungeons & Dragons edition so far. A single of these giant goblinoids is enough to wipe an entire group of beginner adventurers. Although they look a bit like seven feet tall furry goblins, there are unique characteristics to bugbears. The name comes from their feral appearance. They have the nose and claws that look similar to those of a bear....

Tales of Arise, the latest in the long-running Tales series from Bandai Namco, has had little new information revealed since it was announced at E3 2019. Despite this, the game was recently listed as fans’ most anticipated game according to Famitsu magaizine. Any bit of information about the elusive title is enough to get fans excited, so when Bandai Namco producer Yusuke Tomizawa makes a statement during the “Tales of Series 25 Anniversary stream,” fans take notice....

For weeks, NetherRealm Studios’ head Ed Boon had been teasing gamers about a Mortal Kombat X reveal ahead of E3 2014. Armed with a series of cryptic number puzzles, the fan-favorite game designer counted down the days - ending with a Mortal Kombat X announcement trailer. Featuring a gorgeous (and brutal) battle between series icons Scorpion and Sub-Zero, some gamers were still skeptical of the teaser - which was more of a cinematic teaser than a full gameplay reveal....

Developer Frontier has revealed another load of information about the Odyssey expansion coming to Elite Dangerous. This time, the developer brought forth Gareth Hughes to answer fan’s questions about the Settlements coming with the expansion. The first question came from a trigger-happy fan who asked if NPC’s would respawn at outposts if they were to be wiped out by the player. Hughes noted that if an outpost is attacked, it will send for reinforcements and become tougher to take over....

From football (the actual footie kind) to monarchy to Michaela Coel, it was a great night to be British at the 2021 Emmy Awards. Netflix had the biggest night of any streamer or network, with its Queen Elizabeth drama The Crown running a clean sweep of its categories and taking home seven awards. On the comedy side of things, Ted Lasso was nearly as dominant, winning nearly every award it was up for save for writing, directing, and lead actress in a comedy series (all three of which went to HBO Max’s Hacks)....

Microsoft has been making moves in recent months to bring more games to the Xbox Game Pass, the company’s subscription service featuring over 100 titles. Microsoft’s recent acquisition of Bethesda brought a collection of 20 games to the service, and Microsoft’s continued push to add to Xbox Game Pass will see Empire of Sin join that list soon. The turn-based mafia strategy game released last year to polarizing reviews. Some who reviewed Empire of Sin were pulled into the atmospheric, 1920s Chicago setting, while others were taken out of the experience by bugs and balance issues....

CCP Games has made an exciting announcement regarding EVE Online. The massively multiplayer online role-playing game that released in 2003 is receiving a native macOS client. Testing for EVE Online on macOS begins in Q1 2021. EVE Online is a unique game in that it is a player-driven persistent-world title. So much of EVE Online exists because of the players, and this macOS test will be the latest example, as it will be open to public testing when it begins....

New Pokemon Snap is a single-player game. That might sound obvious, but it’s not just a single-player as in ‘you play it by yourself’ - it’s a quintessentially solitary experience. You go out, by yourself, in a little glass dome and move through an area with no other people around. You return for a bland, pointless conversation with the other humans, then you head straight back out into the world. The game offers up a rival in Phil, but he’s utterly pointless - he never actually competes with you, but still insists on acting like a competitive twerp....
