As many would likely agree, Electronic Arts has had a rough time pleasing the Star Wars fan base, especially when one considers the loot box controversy surrounding 2017’s launch of Battlefront 2, which led to the company’s stock dropping in value by $3.1 billion. Despite this, it appears as though the publisher plans on forging ahead with another video game inspired by the science fiction property, as a recent job listing suggests that EA is working on an online multiplayer title inspired by the brand....

Our quick take Fallout - 4.0 / 5 One quick note on the storyline: we liked it and even preferred it to that of Fallout 3. The reason is straightforward - it takes itself far less seriously and rather than giving you a role to fit into (growing up with your father in a vault) there’s far less to go on, which in turn helps to make the character yours. There’s even a touch of the who-dunnit/mystery about the story (when you see the opening cutscene you’ll see what we mean) - but to its credit, it never dominates proceedings....

A YouTuber named Cosmic Contrarian has made a video imagining an alien invasion in the Fallout 4 universe, complete with the in-game alien models and voice acting. Bethesda Softworks gave itself a double-edged sword when it developed Fallout 4 on the Creation Engine. It may be stagnant on the graphical front and have a handful of physics issues, but the engine is also highly robust and extremely mod-friendly. Thanks to the latter, Fallout 4 fans have been producing everything from customizable weapon racks to epic-scale NPC battles, and the creativity has shown no signs of slowing down....

Although Fallout 76 received many negative reviews from fans, the game nevertheless had a big impact on some players, and it seems, on the entire State of West Virginia. Bethesda recently announced on Twitter that the governor, Jim Justice, and the secretary of state, Mac Warner, officially proclaimed November 14, 2018 as Reclamation Day in the State of West Virginia. This came after the state partnered with Bethesda on a series of Fallout 76-inspired tourist activities in celebration of the game’s release....

The Halo franchise is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and, although Halo Infinite still lacks a confirmed release date for 2021, 343 Industries may be looking to capitalize on the hype. However, there are many ways to celebrate Master Chief’s legacy as one dedicated YouTuber recently showed with NES port of Halo: Combat Evolved. While Halo: The Master Chief Collection and its many mods remain an excellent way to play almost every game in the franchise, even with some noticeable graphical enhancements, rewinding the visual style of the game three generations back is no small feat....

Despite the internal strife on the Fadda side of the conflict, it’s clear there is alignment on the fact that Loy Cannon and his men are the enemy. That enemy finally starts showing his teeth in “Camp Elegance,” but Loy’s show of aggression comes with a significant risk; his boy Satchel is still in Fadda care and obviously at risk to be the target of retaliation....

As a defining game of the original Xbox era, fans have high expectations for the Destroy All Humans remake. And while fans may be worried that the game won’t stay true to its 2005 counterpart, it’s much less of a from-the-ground-up remake than it is a visual overhaul with some tweaks to movement and abilities, though that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Players are getting the complete package and then some, with Destroy All Humans’ voice cast returning for the remake, and some new features being added to make the game feel modern....

Style is what defines the Devil May Cry series. Heck, the games even have a rating for players that is the “Stylish” rank, which is given when the player has a near flawless run in a level. Dante is easily the most stylish character from the series, which is something that sets him apart from other gaming protagonists. Within each game, you can find quotes by the Son of Sparda that he lays out toward his victims, usually as part of a habit where he verbally burns his opponents before finishing them off....

After Showtime broke the news a few days ago that their beloved serial killer would come out of the woods for one last blood-splashing dance, much speculation has circled around regarding what kind of approach Dexter’s reboot will take. For that purpose, there is no better source than Clyde Phillips, who carried Dexter up to its fourth season and will return as showrunner in this final outing. In a recent interview during The Hollywood Reporter’s TV’s Top 5 podcast, Phillips made clear that Dexter’s revival is not meant to be a season 9 of any sort, but instead very much its own thing that will allow him to write a second, but not alternate, finale....

While Diablo 4 still doesn’t have a solid release window, speculation continues to grow around Blizzard’s upcoming action-RPG. A few details have trickled out from the studio over the last year, including three of the games’ five playable classes. Diablo 4 players will be able to start the game as either the Barbarian, the Druid, or the Sorceress. Leading the charge at the very center of this trio is the Barbarian, an unstoppable melee juggernaut and classic Diablo character....

Fans of Dimension 20 are in luck, as the Dungeons and Dragons show has announced a new season of Unsleeping City, one of the major campaigns in the anthology series. However, there will be some considerable differences this time around due to the coronavirus pandemic. Notably, the show is being recorded remotely, using Roll20 to facilitate play. Of course, the game is still being run by Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan, who has helmed each season of the show so far....

Disney+ finally launched in the UK during the last week of March with a fairly robust library that included a massive collection of The Simpsons from its recently-acquired Fox catalogue, but there was a little rough with the smooth, as the streaming service decided to include just two episodes of its flagship Star Wars live-action series, The Mandalorian, and there were some clear discrepancies between the bonuses of being a US and UK subscriber – we’ll have to wait until July for Frozen 2, and there’s not yet been any news of a premiere date for Pixar’s Onward or Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker....
