Former pro Starcraft player and esports commentator Geoff Robinson passed away Saturday at the age of 33. His passing was announced on his official Twitter account yesterday, details of what happened have not yet been made available. Robinson, also known as iNcontroL, began his esports career with the clan Evil Geniuses in Starcraft 2 before eventually moving into hosting, casting, and streaming. His charm and positive attitude have earned him the reputation of a beloved figure in the community and his absence will certainly be felt....

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout was featured during the Devolver Direct presentation Saturday afternoon, and Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida even participated in the segment, helping to confirm Fall Guys’ release date. Fans can expect to play Fall Guys for themselves starting August 4 on PC and PlayStation 4. For those unfamiliar, Fall Guys is a “massively” multiplayer party game. It’s like a cartoony battle royale meets American Ninja Warrior. Sixty players will face off against each other in a series of exciting competitive matches, which each round eliminating a number of players before moving on to the next....
Fallout: The Frontier is one of the biggest Fallout: New Vegas mods to date, yet it has been embroiled in controversy since it released on January 15. The controversy centers on NSFW content that was included in the mod, which led to its temporary removal from Nexus Mods. Now it is back, but several of its contributors have pulled their content to distance themselves from the project. One talented Fallout 4 fan creates an incredibly bizarre rap music video for the post-apocalyptic RPG featuring the Super Mutant companion character known as Strong. Fallout 4 modder and YouTuber UpIsNotJump is at it again, and this time around his creation for Bethesda’s retro-futuristic title is not only clever, but it is also quite bonkers. Using in-game assets, the Fallout 4 fan has put together a music video with the Super Mutant companion Strong spitting straight fire over a sparse beat that’s somewhat reminiscent of the tunes from the electro hip-hop group Whodini....
Bethesda turned a lot of heads earlier this year when it revealed Fallout 76 would be an online experience, abandoning many aspects that fans have come to expect from the traditionally single-player franchise. Ubisoft Toronto is working to make sure that Far Cry 6 runs as intended on every platform the game is set to launch on. Comedy and horror are two genres that survive on visceral, gut-busting reactions from audiences (quite literally, sometimes). They also have long complemented each other like London and werewolves. Yet, whether the intention is to scare people in a dark room or tickle them silly, neither is an easy feat, which Fear, Inc. can testify to from experience. Indeed, the new midnight selection horror film seems tailor-made for genre junkies in search for a film aware of all the in-jokes… except for how to make them particularly clever....
Besides this pre-order bonus fumble, the Rise of Iron launch has been somewhat rocky in other ways as well. For example, due to severe server overload, there were thousands of people that were unable to access the game at all when the new expansion released last Tuesday. Bungie has managed to get those issues ironed out since then, but still, anyone that took off work or school to play Rise of Iron on launch day couldn’t have been very happy....
