Like Activision has multiple Call of Duty developers (Infinity Ward, Treyarch, Sledgehammer Games) which allows them to release a new installment every fall, EA is following the exact same strategy. DICE and Danger Close Games will alternate releases each year: Medal of Honor came in 2010, Battlefield 3 in 2011, and this year will see Medal of Honor 2 with Battlefield 4 likely coming in 2013. Another annualized EA product is Need for Speed which, as of late, has seen more than one Need for Speed release per year on average, and another coming this fall....

Nobuo Uematsu, the Final Fantasy composer known as “the Beethoven of game music,” has recently composed the music for the upcoming Apple Arcade exclusive Fantasian. Sadly, this may be his last full game soundtrack, according to Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi. “Before we approached him to work on Fantasian, he was going through some health issues, and there were concerns if he was going to be able to compose everything or if was it even possible for him to work on this,” Sakaguchi recently told MobileSyrup....
When Bungie first began talking about endgame content for Destiny, they did so in a very obtuse manner. Twitch’s #1 Destiny 2 streamer Gladd broke the record for the longest sub train this past week with over 28,000 back to back subscriptions. During a 42 hour stream last week, Gladd’s longest ever, Gladd raked in over 40,000 new Twitch subscribers. The sub train (at least 1 sub ever 5 minutes) made up more than 28,000 of those subscriptions. Gladd’s massive stream is the result of a new Twitch “bounty” from Bungie that rewards viewers with a unique emblem and shader if they gift 2 subs to a Destiny 2 streamer....

The Cybermen are really camp. They’re meant to be cold, logical, emotionless cyborg vampires, but mostly they’re just silly. They do slow fist-clenches and macho posturing. They wail and flap their arms around. They get killed by glitter. They make insanely convoluted plans and pretend they’re very clever. They are ridiculous and this is as entertaining as it is frustrating. They are also a terrifying spectre of death. As a child, you know when you see them that death is near, so their mere appearance induces tension....

Once players have progressed enough through Dragon Age: Inquisition to have gained access to Skyhold, a new war table operation will become available to them called “Specializations for the Inquisitor”. Completing this operation will invite three trainers to Skyhold, each of which will offer to teach you their individual specializations. Specializations are sub-classes for the chosen class of the Inquisitor, and for those who have chosen a mage, they can pick between the following specializations: Knight-Enchanter, Necromancer, or Rift Mage....
