Microsoft’s E3 2017 press conference came with fresh Crackdown 3 gameplay. It also came with a surprise cameo from Brooklyn Nine-Nine star (and PC gaming enthusiast) Terry Crews. The new Crackdown 3 gameplay trailer introduced Crews as a character called Commander Jaxon. Very little is known about the actor’s character at the moment but Jaxon is loud, brash and very enthusiastic about welcoming players to The Agency, the peacekeeping force from the other two Crackdown games....
The PC Gaming show saw Torn Banner Studio’s Steve Piggot and Tripwire Interactive’s John Gibson take to the stage to announce Chivalry 2. As they showed off a brand new trailer and discussed the game, they revealed that they know their audience, and they know that they’ve been drinking. The two independent studio heads are former modders who’ve come together to bring us a sequel to 2012’s Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. The trailer has everything you’d expect from the hack-n’-slash multiplayer game....
Following one of the most controversial video game launches in recent memory, SimCity players have little reason to celebrate. The highly-anticipated entry in one of gaming’s favorite franchises failed to work as intended upon release - with extensive server connectivity issues and game-breaking bugs that resulted in save file corruption. Frustration (now outrage) has been compounded by EA’s controversial decision to include always-on DRM in SimCity - meaning that gamers who were having trouble connecting to the publisher’s servers are not even allowed to play the game offline....

ESL has officially postponed the upcoming Dota 2 Los Angeles Major due to the new United States travel restrictions brought on by coronavirus concerns. Beginning at midnight on Friday, March 13th, all travel from Europe to the United States will be suspended in a ban that will last for 30 days. The ESL One Los Angeles Major was slated to start on March 15th, and run until the 22nd. The ESL One Los Angeles Major is meant to be the third Major of the 2019-20 Dota Pro Circuit, bringing sixteen of the world’s best Dota 2 teams together on their journey to The International....
Fortnite’s latest season officially launches today. With the beginning of a new season, the battle royale will see quite a few changes to the available arsenal. Chapter 2 Season 5 introduces several new weapons, in addition to vaulting, and unvaulting, some old ones. Epic Games’ popular battle royale title just ended its Marvel-based Nexus War of Season 4 with the long-awaited arrival of Galactus. Players who dropped into the Fortnite Galactus Event found themselves teaming up with Iron Man, Thor, and Wolverine to bring down the world-eating villain....
In response to the recent sexual misconduct and pedophilia allegations against co-founder, Joey Cuellar, Evo has decided to cut ties with Cuellar entirely, noting in a statement that was posted to Twitter that he will no longer be involved with the company “in any capacity.” The move is effective immediately, with the company relieving Cuellar of any and all responsibilities. Co-founder Tony Cannon has been appointed as the acting CEO moving forward and will take on more responsibilities both internally within the company as well as at Evo events, though there is no word as to whether or not the move is an interim or permanent appointment....
The Oculus blog announced today that Facebook acquired Ready At Dawn, the studio behind Lone Echo and The Order: 1886. The acquisition of Ready At Dawn is the latest in a series of acquisitions made by Facebook to create amazing games for the Oculus Rift. Ready At Dawn Studios was founded in 2003 and is based out of Irvine, CA. Their first game, Daxter, launched in 2006 on the PlayStation Portable....
Yesterday, a Fallout 76 group—The Free States Militia—was shocked to see that they had been banned from Facebook for reasons unknown to them. One of the group’s admins even lost family memories—including the last video her father had sent her before his passing. Fallout 76 encourages you to be part of a community of players as you attempt to bring civilization back to the nuclear wastes of Appalachia. One extremely devoted Fallout 4 player attempts to discover every single secret location hidden away in the world of Bethesda’s popular post-apocalyptic RPG. Ever since December of last year, a YouTuber going by the name “The LAWD” has been on a quest to seek out and document all of the hidden and secret areas to be found in Fallout 4’s Boston Commonwealth Wasteland setting. So far, the gamer has recorded over 90 videos in total, with each one providing instructions as to how other fans of the open world title can find the spots themselves....
Two of the biggest stories to come out of E3 2015 were the long-awaited reveal of Fallout 4 and Microsoft’s announcement of backwards compatibility for the Xbox One.
