The racing game Dirt 5 is going free to play for a limited time on Xbox platforms. Players can not only enjoy the rally competitions through the next few days but also try out Rainbow Six Siege from Ubisoft, which is joining Dirt 5 during the Free Play Days event. Dirt 5 is the latest entry in the Codemasters series, offering a decent off-road racing experience with different game modes. Players can rush through the Career mode, advancing to the title of racing Сhampion, play with their friends in four-player split-screen, or just head straight online to compete with other drivers....

As a character who has appeared in nearly every Dishonored game in one way or another, Billie Lurk has undeniably left her mark on the franchise. She first appeared in the DLC for the first game, The Knife of Dunwall as the assassin Daud’s right hand. Her second starring role was in Dishonored 2 where she provided the player with key information and ferried them to and from their destinations. Trailers will often advertise the movie as being from “the visionary mind of” whatever director, and while I typically find that kind of marketing to be a bit hyperbolic, I have to admit it’s an accurate way to describe Zack Snyder. Snyder’s films have a signature visual identity that is uniquely his own. The theatrical cut of Justice League, which was taken over by Joss Whedon during editing and subsequent reshoots, proves that Synder’s brand of filmic language and visual storytelling cannot be replicated....

Doctor Who Series 13 Episode 3 Review Warning: this Doctor Who: Flux review contains spoilers. Well, I wasn’t expecting that. I’d initially intended to start this review comparing ‘Once, Upon Time’to the deliberately ambiguous ‘Listen’, the Peter Capaldi serial that left whether the ‘monster’ even existed up to the audience. Then I thought, no, it’s actually more like ‘Can You Hear Me?’, co-written by Chris Chibnall and featuring the same kind of nightmare-slash-memory scenarios for the companions, underscored by a pair of creepy immortal villains....

It’s almost a year since Jodie Whittaker filmed her final scenes in the TARDIS, which means the coast is clear for her to own up to pocketing the odd souvenir from set. It turns out that Whittaker has something of a reputation for spiriting away Doctor Who props, and some items that made their way into her possession when she wrapped on the show accidentally caused a wee bit of bother....

Dr Disrespect is going to stream some Fall Guys with PewDiePie, according to his latest tweet. In case you haven’t heard, Dr Disrespect made his triumphant return to streaming last week. Not on Twitch where he was originally–we still don’t know what got him perma-banned from the largest games streaming platform in the world–but on YouTube. And he’s already racking up millions of views. He first foreshadowed his return with a teaser which played a lot more like a ‘90s music video, then followed that up with an opening stream that got millions of views....

Dr Disrespect is one of the most popular content creators in the world. He has over three million subscribers on YouTube, and was once one of the biggest names in Twitch, before he was banned (one of the biggest gaming controversies of 2020). Dr Disrespect himself is a bit of a controversial figure, but he may have just become a bit more likable thanks to the Puppy Assassin. Doc just posted an image on his Twitter page that has blown up, and for good reason....

Two of the biggest streamers in the world may be getting ready to play one of the surprise hits of 2020. Koei Tecmo (formerly Koei Co.) has been cranking out Dynasty Warriors games since the very first one was released back in 1997. This hack and slash romance of the Three Kingdoms Period of Chinese history has been a staple in the action genre of video games for a generation. Fans of the series were treated with the announcement of a live-action adaptation back in 2016, and five long years later after tons of filming, post-production, and a world-shaking pandemic, the movie is finally set to be released in spring of this year....

EA’s financial report for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year (which is, up until April 2020) is now out, and it shows that they have a number of titles in the pipeline during the new fiscal year (FY21) - to be released by April 2021. One of them is an EA HD title, which supposedly refers to a remaster of a hit game - and fans are convinced it will be either Dead Space or Mass Effect....

FromSoftware’s Dark Souls series has always had a fantastic relationship with scope, containing massive, interconnected worlds where players can often look off into the distance and see areas that they’ll soon be exploring. Epic Games has admitted that it is considering the introduction of a respawn system in Fortnite and that we might know more as soon as season eight. Battle Royale style games are well and truly the biggest thing in gaming right now. Despite a litany of other competitors, no matter how much you might not want to admit it, Fortnite is still the industry leader. Other developers and titles have arrived on the scene, but Epic continues to tweak and change Fortnite in order to keep it fresh and relevant....

Facebook confirms that it is launching a Facebook Gaming app on mobile, helping gamers find new games to play and streamers to watch. This is part of Facebook’s bigger plan to find success in gaming and game streaming as it has also announced Facebook Gaming partnerships with creators like former UFC fighter Ronda Rousey. On Twitter today, the official Facebook Gaming account announced the launch of the Facebook Gaming app. Facebook calls it a “focused, gaming-only experience where you can watch your favorite streamers, play instant games and take part in gaming groups”....
