The next Fallout game and its setting have yet to be announced, but Fallout 5 will need to make some big changes to draw fans back to the franchise. Fallout 76 took fans to a multiplayer version of the series set in post-apocalyptic West Virginia, but the game was not received as well as Bethesda had likely hoped. Starting with Fallout 5, the Fallout series will need to give players some brand new roleplaying opportunities, a new degree of roleplaying freedom, and some interesting new mechanics to spice up combat if it’s going to get the franchise back on top of the RPG heap....

While Grand Theft Auto 6 has not even been officially announced, the game being known to be in development has set fans into a frenzy over the past few months. Now, Grand Theft Auto 6 fans believe the game’s potential release date is being teased within GTA Online. When a GTA 6 reveal does happen, Rockstar will likely want the game to be seen on the biggest stage possible. After all, with the previous game in the series still selling extremely well and GTA Online continuing to thrive, the success of a sequel is inevitable....

Introducing players to Yara earlier this year, the next entry in the Far Cry series is bringing players to a Cuban Revolution-inspired setting this time around. While Far Cry 6 will once again star a tyrant in the form of Anton Castillo, the dynamic between him and his son brings an interesting twist to the usual Far Cry villain design. Unfortunately the game did get delayed from its original February release date, but as the franchise’s first foray on the next console generation, many are expecting big things....

Earlier this month Bungie started building hype for the looming launch of Destiny: Rise of Iron with an ARG called Owl_Sector. The ARG coincided with a game-wide infection that spread from player to player, and in the process unlocked more lore within the game. Then, after the launch of Rise of Iron and the elimination of the infections, the Owl_Sector ARG returned with more clues, this time hinting towards a big secret within the Wrath of the Machine raid....

New screenshots show legendary and exotic weapons that are coming to Destiny in Rise of Iron, including new sets for the Vanguard, Crucible, vendors, Trials of Osiris, and Iron Banner. Destiny’s developer Bungie has already revealed that the Year One exotic rocket launcher Gjallarhorn is making a comeback in Rise of Iron. But Destiny: Rise of Iron, the game’s fall expansion, will bring a full weapon refresh across vendors, factions, and activities....

One of the strengths of Destiny is the fact that its always-online world can be tinkered with at any time by developers Bungie, meaning that a patch or a hotfix can be implemented relatively quickly. However, some of these tweaks need more preparation than others — and the studio has announced that, as a result, game’s servers will be down for several hours tomorrow. Of course, the entirety of the game being reliant on its shared online universe means that players will not be able to play Destiny between 8AM PST and 12PM PST....

Demolition derby fans have reason to rejoice this week, as Destruction AllStars has finally released on PS Plus as a free game. This PlayStation exclusive puts players in a car crushing arena where only the most vicious competitors come out on top. With so many mechanics unique to the experience, it can be confusing to grasp the game’s expansive abilities and mechanics. Luckily, TheGamer has an explanation for all the systems in Destruction AllStars, including Breaker Mode....

The Dark Zones of The Division are always a dangerous place for agents to find themselves, and we’re not just referring to all the hacker-based drama from the past week. Now that The Division has been out for almost two months, many players have had time to adjust their specific agent builds, and have been tailoring them to their own specific play style....

At first glance, Fall Guys doesn’t seem like a game where strategy is that important. After all, with 50+ beans jostling for first place, how much room for creativity do you really have? However, after several months on the market, we’ve come to learn that there’s a ridiculous amount of depth to the casual-looking title. And, according to KittyPlays, the key to victory is simply watching your competitors. Colliding with other people in Fall Guys is a one way ticket to the chopping block....

Doom Eternal is finally here and players are already ripping and tearing through the game with a vengeance. While the fantastic gameplay, minimalist-but-satisfying story, and awesome visuals and soundtrack are all huge draws, there is also the lure of Doom easter eggs and secrets waiting around every corner to be discovered. The Easter Eggs are largely references to past id Software titles, all wrapped up in a celebration of the path that led to Doom Eternal and scattered throughout the game....

Bethesda’s in-house content team follows id Creative Director Hugo Martin’s fast paced playthrough of several Doom levels, introducing several new gameplay details. Up to this point Bethesda has remained surprisingly quiet regarding much of Doom’s core gameplay. Their single-player gameplay trailer shown in early February was the first content showcased in what must have been months. In other words, details regarding the core gameplay of Doom remain sparse. Today Bethesda’s in-house content team, essentially a marketing team producing producing editorial content not unlike independent websites, released an article giving a closer look at those gameplay systems....

It has been almost three weeks since Herschel “Guy” Beahm IV, known to the gaming industry as Dr DisRespect, was banned from Twitch. Dr DisRespect had signed a multiyear partnership deal with Twitch, but this was cut short due to unreleased reasons. The gaming industry has been on the edge of its seat for weeks, waiting for any sort of news to drop. However, one person who knows the reasoning has helped narrow down why the ban happened without coming right out and saying it....

UPDATE: According to Rod Breslau, who frequently leaks video game information, Dr Disrespect is permanently banned from Twitch, and the cause is not a DMCA. The story is still developing, and will be updated as more information is released. Original story follows: Popular streamer Dr Disrespect has seemingly been banned for Twitch, though as of this writing, the reason for the ban is unclear. The streamer has been involved in several controversies in the past, so its possible Twitch re-evaluated the streamer’s standing on the platform....

Qunari are a group in Dragon Age shrouded in mystery. They are not even technically a race, but a religion… and yet are often referred to as a race by the people of Thedas. Some have horns, some do not have horns. They are at constant war with Tevinter, and their religion has very authoritarian rules. Also, unlike humans, elves, and dwarves, they are an original Dragon Age race. But there is more unknown about the Qunari than other races....

It isn’t really a Dragon Ball FighterZ update if there isn’t some sort of Goku involved, is it? We’ve already got Kefla, Ultra Instinct Goku, and Master Roshi as part of the game’s FighterZ Pass 3. The recently revealed Super Baby 2 from Dragon Ball GT will join the new additions on January 15. Bandai Namco and Arc System Works have now revealed the last addition to FighterZ Pass 3, and it’s Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta....

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC 2 is going to another boss battle episode like the first, but it is still unclear who that boss will be. The first DLC set a precedent by introducing Beerus and Whis, but that doesn’t necessarily confirm anything about the DLC to follow. There are a number of possibilities when looking at the vast array of foes that Goku and Vegeta have come up against in Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball Super, and though some are more likely than others, theoretically anything is possible until Bandai Namco makes an announcement....

Although most fans had understandably assumed that the second boss battle episode of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot would continue on chronologically and pit players against the tyrant Golden Frieza, some compelling evidence has surfaced online suggesting that Hit may actually be fans’ next great challenge. This change in perception is caused by a recent leak discovered by Dm Gaming which purports that the story arc being added in DLC 3 will focus on the Future Trunks Saga of Dragon Ball Super rather than Broly or the Universe 6 Saga....

Dragon’s Lair was the first video game I ever loved. Before I ever touched Nintendo or PlayStation, my youngest gaming years were spent with a Joystick playing CD-ROM games like Rebel Assault, Lenny’s Music Toons, and Dragon’s Lair on a DOS computer. Dragon’s Lair looked like my favorite movies: All Dogs Go To Heaven, The Land Before Time, and An American Tail. I didn’t know who Don Bluth was, of course, but the stylistic continuity between the films and the game bonded me to Dragon’s Lair for the rest of my life and probably has a lot to do with my love for games, not to mention my career....

Infinity Ward pushed a playlist update out to Warzone players across all platforms today which includes Duos for the first time. A Duos queue has arguably been the most highly requested feature since the launch of Warzone back in March. The Call of Duty battle royale briefly replaced Trios with Quads last month but has since included Solos, Trios, and Quads on the playlist — everything but Duos. Splitting up the playlist in any game can be a tricky task simply because it divides the player base into separate queues and has the potential to increase the wait time between games....
