Night City is a beautiful place, although it might be more appropriate to rename it “Day City.” A video has surfaced online showing off a full day/night cycle in Cyberpunk 2077 and – while beautiful – it reveals a city that’s almost constantly bathed in sunlight. In the minute-long clip, the sun starts setting at around the 20-second mark. It’s completely below the horizon at 30 seconds, and is already rising again fifteen seconds later....

If you happened to get a Far Cry 6 beta invite, you probably shouldn’t open it. Ubisoft today confirmed that the recent emails making their way to fans’ inboxes are not official and are linked to a phishing scam. The announcement was made through Twitter, as the official Ubisoft Support account replied to a popular YouTuber. “We can confirm the email regarding FC6 beta access is a phishing attempt,” said Ubisoft....

Far Cry 6, the next title in the popular FPS series from Ubisoft, is due to release in early 2021. From everything that’s been shown so far, it looks like it’ll be sticking close to the classic Far Cry formula. This means a resistance movement to join, enemy camps to conquer, vehicles to acquire, and a charismatic tyrant to overthrow. This last point has been a staple of the series for almost a decade now, and doesn’t look set to change....

Farming Simulator 19 takes players to a rustic, country backside and gives them the opportunity to be whatever type of farmer they wish. Published by Focus Home Interactive, Farming Simulator 19 lets players take care of crops, raise livestock, or try their hands at forestry, but this freedom of choice is a double-edged sword. It is both the game’s greatest and worst feature, because it makes the big and beautiful world feel as if there was little to do and too much to do at the same time....

Since the release of Update 1.2 for Tom Clancy’s The Division many player strategies have changed. Now, with the introduction of the Toughness stat, players are focusing a lot more on their build’s durability – specifically how long it can “tank” damage in the endgame content. To better assist with that, one Division player has put together a helpful rundown showing how to get the ultimate tank build. For those players who want to survive for as long as possible, soaking up damage for their team, this is likely to be the best place to start....

The Division developer Massive Entertainment has made a much needed change to the Dark Zone, eliminating a “cheese spot” for potential Rogue agents. The area, found in Dark Zone 02, used to have only one entry way but Massive has now added two additional routes. The change has gone live with PTS Update 1.6, but it will eventually hit the live game once 1.6 releases for everyone. Any regular Division player has likely seen a Rogue agent hide in DZ02 using the raised wooden platform....

In the fervor of last week’s surprise release of Call of Duty: Warzone, many players weren’t exactly sure if crossplay was an option. Infinity Ward made it a huge point to include the feature in last year’s Modern Warfare, but battle royale is a different beast. Would you want console players mixing with PC players in something so skill-based? Well, worry not. Call of Duty: Warzone does, in fact, feature crossplay between all three platforms....

President Donald Trump is once again at the center of a storm of controversy. On January 6, a mob of the President’s supporters stormed the Capitol building in Washington, DC, while Congress was in the midst of certifying the electoral college votes for the 2020 presidential election. Trump has been accused of instigating the incident, as he had encouraged thousands of spectators to “go to the Capitol” at a rally earlier that afternoon....

Popular MOBA Dota 2 is set to receive an update to its current Battle Pass Plan. The service is being replaced by Dota Plus, which Valve states is an “evolution of the Battle Pass” that costs $3.99 per month. The new service promises to bring a host of improvements and new features the Battle Pass didn’t offer Dota 2 players. Some of these features focus on helping players in their progression through the game and in improving their in-game performance, like the new Hero Leveling system....

Growing up in Wisconsin in the early ’70s, I would get home from school, drop my bag, park myself in front of the TV and tune in The Early Show. Every weekday between three and five-thirty, a local station aired sometimes shockingly uncut films, and it was there my cinematic education began. I don’t know who was programming The Early Show, but I would like to shake his hand. The focus was decidedly on genre films,especially horror and recent drive-in hits....

A recent leak about Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC has proven true, as Bandai Namco officially announced that Kid Goku from Dragon Ball GT is joining the roster. The announcement calls particular attention to Kid Goku’s Power Pole weapon, something Bandai Namco seems to think sets this Goku apart from the many other Gokus already in the game. The leak came last week, allegedly from the Japanese magazine V-Jump. Early translations claimed that Kid Goku’s abilities were named....

Without a doubt, gamers around the world are excited about the upcoming E3 event during which video game manufacturers, developers, and publishers present upcoming products to its massive audience. However, it seems the official Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) Twitter account jumped the gun and announced the end of Day 1 a few days early. Most likely, it was a simple mistake made while scheduling the tweet. That doesn’t, however, make it any less hilarious, especially considering the official Bandai Namco US account decided to pitch in....

A remastered version of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is coming to the Nintendo Switch, and fans are wondering when Underground will get the same treatment. We got nothing against Hot Pursuit–it’s a fine game with fine racing and fine car chases between cops and illegal street racers. A remastered Hot Pursuit seems like a great idea. But what about Need for Speed: Underground and Underground 2? These two juggernauts of the Need for Speed series have been completely ignored for so long that we’re wondering if EA even cares about them anymore....

We’re not saying it’s so bad that you might as well not bother, but it is definitely hard to get a PlayStation 5 or an Xbox Series X these days. Everywhere has basically been sold out since release day, and most have resorted to either waiting for stock updates from major retailers or resorting to eBay to find their next-gen console. Of course, eBay is not an option for everyone. Don’t expect to find a PS5 or Xbox Series X for the MSRP of $499....

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, an action game for PS3 and Xbox 360 developed and published by UTV Ignition Games, was released in 2011. Now, the game is coming to PC with a port that will be published by Crim. The launch trailer says, “It has been 10 years since the release of El Shaddai on PS3 and Xbox 360 and we have been asked constantly by PC gamers and fans of the game for its release on this platform and we are glad to announce its release on Steam very soon!...

Companies working in the gaming industry are always looking for that next big thing that could revolutionize some aspect of how games are made, or how they are played. Nintendo got people out of their seats with Wiimotes, with players doing the swinging and slashing for their characters in a given game. Electronic Arts is looking to patent a method to train AI through live player data, and now the company is looking at patenting a set of development tools and marketplace that could bring game development to the masses, similar to how Bethesda’s Creation Kit gave people the power to modify Skyrim....

So far, Star Wars Battlefront is shaping up to be a fantastic addition to the extensive library of Star Wars-themed video games. The DICE-developed multiplayer shooter is one of the most highly anticipated games of 2015, and a recent gameplay reveal suggests that the title may well live up to the hype. Gamers were given a first look at gameplay through a thrilling E3 2015 trailer showcasing the Battle of Hoth, whilst our hands-on preview of the game certainly indicates that the force is strong with the latest Battlefront title....
