This Evil review is based on the first three episodes of season 3. It contains no spoilers but does allude to upcoming cases and plots. The Wipeout-styled battle royale, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, is rising to stardom, as it’s the most downloaded game on Playstation Plus. The number of fans for this game will only increase since Mediatonic has given a sneak peek at season 2 of Fall Guys. The medieval themed cosmetics and map challenges look awesome. The challenges, in particular, look like they’ll be more difficult than their predecessors. For the fans that have yet to obtain a crown, the future may look bleak....

In 2020, two very different games dominated the video game landscape throughout the later half of the year. In the summer, Mediatonic and Devolver Digital’s Fall Guys brought gamers a whole new spin on the battle royale genre, introducing it as an obstacle course-styled platformer, while InnerSloth LLC’s Among Us brought fans an addictive social deduction game in fall of 2020, despite the game releasing two years prior. While both games have recently seen a dwindle in popularity, as is expected of most popular video games in such a saturated market, each game has come with multiple changes and updates, and developers have continued to build strong relationships with their fans, and now, seemingly each other....

Fallout 4 has many places to explore and its world is full of strange and interesting sights, sounds, and irradiated organisms. Maybe of which are easily overlooked. As a survivor recently awoken from a long slumber, the player is usually too occupied with not being torn apart by horribly mutated fiends or gunned down by enraged bandits to look under every rock and log for loot. Until they reach a higher level, anyway....

Bethesda gives its post-apocalyptic RPG Fallout 4 a facelift later this week with a PlayStation 4 Pro update, and officially releases the details in the patch notes. Not too long ago, Bethesda Game Studios announced its intentions to bring high-res textures to Fallout 4 with an update to supplement the visuals of the game on Sony’s enhanced console, the PlayStation 4 Pro. Now, it seems as if the publisher and developer is set to follow through on its promise soon enough, with Fallout 4’s PS4 Pro fans primed to receive Update 1....

Developer Bethesda Game Studios officially announces that it is delaying the Mods Beta for the PlayStation 4 edition of its post-apocalyptic RPG Fallout 4. Although Bethesda planned on Fallout 4’s console mods’ release date being the end of this month for the open world title’s PlayStation 4 players, the game developer has taken to its official Twitter account to reveal that the Mods Beta for PS4 is going to be delayed indefinitely....

Though it was leaked ahead of time, the big reveal at today’s Ubisoft Forward livestream was Far Cry 6, which has a narrative focused around a Fidel Castro-esque dictator named Anton Castillo and his son Diego. Anton is portrayed by Giancarlo Esposito, who talked about the process of starring in a motion capture-heavy video game in an interview published by Ubisoft following the event. Esposito describes his character as driven by his ability to lead and create a better world for his people, even if that means manipulating his son into certain positions....

Destiny has begun its final weekend of Trials of Osiris, the game’s highly competitive, weekly PvP event. To commemorate the last time Trials can be played in Destiny, the map selection has been put on a rotation containing practically every map that Trials of Osiris has ever been played on. Interactive video games are probably part of the most underrated genre in the industry. However, a surge in interest has been felt over the past decade. This is mainly because of quality games such as Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human. The latter is also an action game, as it blends the interactive aspect as well. It has been a success in commercial and critical reception. Due to this, there’s a fair argument for those claiming that Detroit: Become Human is the best interactive action game....

The gaming world is edging closer and closer to the next generation of video game consoles and hardware. The PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X are expected to be coming relatively soon with dozens of games launching alongside them. However, some of these games are also going to be released for the current console generation as well. With hype amongst Star Wars fans already building thanks to the new upcoming films, many gamers were extremely eager to learn all they could about the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront game. Since then, some news has been disappointing to fans while others have been pleasing, like finding out that Star Wars Battlefront won’t have space battles, but gamers would be able to fly the Millennium Falcon. With months to go until the release date, any form of information on the game is a welcome addition....

Prospective Tesla Cybertruck owners hoping to pick up their electric SUV in 2023 might be out of luck. Unless they’re one of a handful of people whose trucks are actually built in time. After previously saying that it would go into production in 2023, Musk now says that the number of Tesla Cybertrucks actually available for delivery will be small thanks to “very slow” output. Musk was talking during an earnings call in which Musk also confirmed that production will kick off “sometime this summer....

While no one knows for sure when live events will feasible once again, most event organizers are operating under the likelihood that social distancing guidelines will continue at least through July or August of this year (of course, there’s a chance even that’s an optimistic estimate.) The latest gaming event, or rather, series of gaming events in this case, to announce its postponement is the multimedia festival DreamHack. The organization just posted rescheduled dates for four of its convention dates and a move to online play for some of its esports tournaments....

Driveclub’s game director reveals that a hardcore option for the PS4 racer is set to arrive in February’s update, turning off traction control and stability control. Racing sims have long been striving to get as close to realistic driving as possible. 2014’s PS4 exclusive Driveclub, however, felt more like a hybrid of an arcade racer and a traditional racing sim, delivering slightly modified real-world roads as tracks alongside smooth arcade gameplay....
