With Avowed and Cyberpunk 2077 already some of the most hotly anticipated games for the next-gen of consoles, many fans are wondering how the RPG genre will develop beyond graphical improvements for the next generation. BioWare has announced that it is working on Dragon Age 4 and Mass Effect 5, but after Mass Effect: Andromeda’s disappointing reception, the developer needs to make sure its next RPG has a tight compelling story that feels like a step forward from the previous games....

We got next to nothing in the way of news for the Borderlands movie during the Gearbox Showcase. CEO Randy Pitchford just kind of wandered about the set in between trailers for 30 minutes, interviewing big names we already knew were attached to the project. Perhaps E3 did deliver in some way though because, for a brief moment, we all laughed together in collective glee as Kevin Hart’s big E3 reveal was that he was not interested in returning Pitchford’s high five....

EA will be bringing its EA Access subscription service to Steam soon, the company has confirmed. The subscription service has been available on Xbox One since 2014 before EA Access became available on PS4 in 2019. Earlier today, EA began to make a huge number of games available on Steam. EA had made some of its games available on the PC gaming platform back in October 2019, but many more titles were added today....

DJ Skee took the psychedelic origins of Doctor Strange to heart when eBay asked him to create a variant cover for the Marvel superhero for New York Comic Con. In a move that speaks both to the entrepreneur’s musical and artistic side, the cover evokes the magical colors worthy of the Sorcerer Supreme as well as the trippy music with which the comic is often associated. DJ Skee spoke about his inspiration for the cover as well as his partnership with King Saladeem on some exclusive trading cards being given away with the comic at the eBay booth at NYCC....

Understanding the maps in Escape From Tarkov is essential to surviving and making money. There is nothing worse than loading into a raid, checking your potential extracts, and realizing that you have no idea where to go in order to escape with a backpack full of loot. Even though Factory is by far the smallest map available in Tarkov, in no way is it the easiest to play. The narrow hallways, tight corners, and multiple levels mean that you will never truly be safe (though nobody is ever safe in Tarkov)....

Pokemon Go’s Kanto Tour event was only last month, but it came with a few problems. Namely, this was a paid event, and in order to take part and reap the rewards you had to buy a Kanto Tour pass in advance of the event. Only, things didn’t work out that way for everyone. While those who had paid for the tour got exactly what they were sold, a bunch of players that did not pay for the tour were also getting to enjoy it....

Fans of Rockstar Games’ flagship series, Grand Theft Auto, have been waiting anxiously for any news on the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6, which was rumored to be announced earlier this month. However, with that announcement never coming, fans have begun looking elsewhere for any information on the game that they can find, which has led many to a suspicious Twitch account titled GTAVI. While a few key aspects of the upcoming game have been leaked, such as actor Jorge Consejo appearing as “The Mexican” for the title in his resume, fans haven’t seen anything from the actual game....

Nostalgia is a powerful drug—and fans of Burnout 3: Takedown just got a heavy dose. Using the Rockstar Editor in Grand Theft Auto V, one creative player pieced together gameplay in an attempt to mimic the opening sequence of the legendary PS2 title, Burnout 3: Takedown. Reddit user LucasRPDG shared his creation on r/gtaonline early Sunday morning. The video stirred up a (slightly limited) range of emotions among fans of the Burnout series....

In a couple days, fans of Far Cry 5 will finally be able to get their hands on a game that promises crazy DLC including Vietnam, Zombies, and Space. However, it appears that crazy missions still occur throughout the upcoming action-adventure first-person shooter. One of these missions has the main character searching for an alleged “pee tape” – a reference to President Donald Trump (R). For those unaware, this reference alludes to an unverified dossier that focused on potential collusion between Trump and Russia....

Seeing as how Skyrim has been out for almost ten years, most people who still play are not looking to spend their time on grinding. It might have been tolerable the first few times around, but a well-seasoned player probably doesn’t want to spend hours on end grinding before getting back to the good stuff. Steve Parker, one of the senior producers for one of the most highly anticipated games ever, Diablo III, is leaving the company with whom he worked five years for. Parker’s latest work had to do with leading the design team for Diablo III. Like any other video game, one person leaving usually doesn’t have a significantly large effect on the final product, and Diablo III will be no exception as the team at Blizzard behind it is taking their (limitless) time with developing the title, changing and redesigning system aspects to ensure the final product will be remembered by gamers as something truly great....
