Japanese video game publication Famitsu has released screenshots from the upcoming JRPG Shoujo Jigoku no Doku Musume, an action game developed by Nippon Ichi Software. The new images from Famitsu include character designs, screenshots of the game’s vast setting, as well as dialogue in the game. Shoujo Jigoku no Doku Musume (translated to “Young Ladies’ Hell’s Poison Girl” in English) is an RPG set in a place named Girls’ Hell, a place where “young ladies with strong emotions, desires, or delusions are trapped, regardless of whether they’re alive or dead....

Since the game’s release earlier this month, Insomniac has been adding some interesting easter eggs into Spider-Man, such as the shirtless Spider-Man easter egg that was recently included after a fan campaign on Twitter. A few months ago, before the game’s release, another fan appealed to Insomniac on Twitter to add a special easter egg into the game in which he asks his girlfriend to marry him after five years of being together....

Overwatch’s latest addition to the hero roster, Doomfist, has only been available for a few days, but there’s already speculation brewing over who will be the next to join the game’s extensive cast. An anonymous user (and a supposed developer within Blizzard) going by the name of BlackwatchFiles has leaked an extensive amount of information about Overwatch’s alleged next hero on Imgur, such as concept art and an extensive biography. Named Psyren, the supposed new character looks like a cross between Symmetra and Sombra, and is allegedly a speedy defensive hero whose skill set revolves around the use of a retractable sword, as well as some limited tanking abilities....

The Doctor Strange movie, a sequel to the 2016 film starring Benedict Cumberbatch, will also see the return of Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo according to new information revealed by the actor. Batgirl will soon become the latest Bat-themed superhero to star in their own DC movie. After a very long gestation period that has directors and screenwriters come and go, Warner Bros. is finally turning the wheels on Gotham’s foremost female crimefighter, with the film set for an HBO Max release sometime in 2022 or 2023, according to THR. While WB hasn’t announced a proper release date for Batgirl, it has found its Barbara Gordon....

Releasing on Xbox Game Pass in early October, Doom Eternal has already become a staple of the service, fitting nicely alongside some of its biggest blockbusters. With the announcement that Microsoft is in the process of acquiring Bethesda, Eternal seems like a taste of what’s to come. Xbox promises the publisher’s upcoming games will be available for Game Pass at release. It seems the company will be rounding out Doom Eternal’s integration with Xbox Game Pass in just a few days, with the major first-person shooter set to hit the PC counterpart on December 3....

On account of Akira Toriyama not writing or drawing Dragon Ball Super himself, there are some understandable narrative differences between the original manga and Toyotaro’s continuation/Toei’s sequel anime. Dragon Ball Super’s storytelling is a different beast entirely, prioritizing specific characters & generally framing story arcs through its villains. Dragon Ball Super’s main villains feel like the stars of their own arcs, often hyped up to astronomic level. Taking place after the Majin Buu arc, Super raises the stakes as high as it can be with the villains coming dangerously close to winning....

The original version of Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age can no longer be purchased on digital storefronts, as it has been delisted on PSN and Steam. The Definitive Edition of the game has now taken its place. Dragon Quest 11 was released internationally for PS4 and PC in 2018. It’s been quite a while since Techland has shared any details regarding Dying Light 2, the sequel to the studio’s 2015 survival horror action-RPG, with the last major reveal being the title’s gameplay trailer at E3 2018. Square Enix doesn’t know how many episodes Final Fantasy VII Remake will have because they’re still planning it out. After one of the longest waits in gaming, Square Enix finally announced when we’ll get to play a remade Final Fantasy VII. They also revealed that this game will be a lot bigger than we originally expected. The first episode of Final Fantasy VII Remake will arrive on March 3rd, 2020. It will span two Blu-ray discs and focus on the first part of the original Final Fantasy VII, which centers around eco-terrorist group Avalanche’s ill-fated attacks on the Shinra Corporation in Midgar....

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will have access to EA Play on November 10, the same day that Microsoft launches both the next-gen Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will have exclusive access to EA Play as well as the xCloud and bundled Xbox Live Gold benefits. Kiyan Prince, a teenager who was murdered outside of his school in 2006, is being added to FIFA 21 this week. EA has announced it will be adding Kiyan Prince to FIFA 21 this week. Elder Scrolls Online has a massive story arc on the way—Gates of Oblivion. One installment will introduce a companion system to Elder Scrolls Online and along with it, Bethesda Softworks has plans to turn companionships into romantic relationships. The Gates of Oblivion DLC expansion will be set 800 years before the events of Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion.
