The Ninth Doctor is coming back to the TARDIS, more than 15 years after Christopher Eccleston quit the newly revived Doctor Who after just one series in the lead role. BBC Studios and Big Finish have announced that Eccleston will lead the cast in a series of new audio adventures, the first volume of which is due to arrive in May 2021. The behind-the-scenes difficulties that led to Eccleston’s exit from BBC One’s Doctor Who in 2005 are no secret, adding extra interest over the years to the regularly raised question of any potential return....

Actress Jodie Whittaker has confirmed that she’ll be back as The Thirteenth Doctor in another series of Doctor Who. The news comes after just four episodes of series 12 have been broadcast by the Beeb. In a new interview, Whittaker was asked point blank by Entertainment Weekly if she’d return for series 13, which has not yet been officially confirmed by the BBC. “Yes, I’m doing another season,” she replied. “That might be a massive exclusive that I’m not supposed to say, but it’s unhelpful for me to say [I don’t know] because it would be a massive lie!...

There are many ways to look at the box office returns for The Suicide Squad from this past weekend. Perhaps the most rose-tinted one is to note that it earned more than any other R-rated film since the COVID-19 pandemic first shut down movie theaters in 2020. But then, there’ve been few R-rated wide releases since then, and those that did open weren’t starring Margot Robbie in her most popular role, nor were they perceived as a semi-sequel to a movie which opened to $133 million in 2016....

Teaser trailers for full-length trailers are a bit of a marketing cliche at this point, but it’s hard not to be excited about Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods Part 2. The Dragon Ball series focuses on its superpowered, Super Saiyan cast. Their exciting fights (that continued for several episodes) kept fans on the edge of their seats. Dragon Ball Super only made the battles more intense, with new characters and females turning Super Saiyan for the first time in the series. Few games are as difficult as Escape From Tarkov. The game is unforgiving, unintuitive, and lacks anything resembling a tutorial, opting to let the player figure everything out for themselves. Fall Guys Season 4 has added a new squads mode that allows you to play with your friends and combine your score. Although it was supposed to be part of the game for only two weeks, it has now been made a permanent feature for the game. As announced on Twitter by the official Fall Guys account, the mode will now become part of the game permanently, and won’t be removed or rotated from the playable modes....

[Update: We have removed the leaked images at Bethesda’s request.] Following Fallout 4’s recent title screen leak, a Reddit user going by the handle “Mindfreak191” has now posted screenshots for the action-RPG’s PlayStation 4 version today. The images come from an unspecified “presentation”, and should give fans a decent idea of what kind of visuals can be expected out of Fallout 4 on Sony’s current-gen console. The screenshots show off gameplay from the title’s playable pre-nuclear explosion setting, including a tank, power armor-clad soldiers, townsfolk, and the moments right before the bombs drop....

There’s no question about it: Fallout 4 is primed to be one of the biggest releases for 2015. Whether it’s Bethesda’s inclusion of the new ability to customize settlements, weapons, and armor, or the fact that the development team took a huge risk in changing the franchise’s longstanding silent protagonist aspect by adding voice acting, fans of the post-apocalyptic series are sure to have their minds blown to bits once the game officially goes on sale....
