This Dexter: New Blood review contains spoilers. Dexter: New Blood Episode 8 I wrote at length last week about how Dexter: New Blood has its foot on the brake rather than the gas late in the season, a problem that suggested maybe a 10-episode order was too much time to fill. That criticism is given more teeth with “Unfair Game,” which keeps Dexter busy with a secondary antagonist and spends more time driving home information that we already knew about Harrison....

Tellingly, the mere presence of the trees—created by the Valar to light to planet of Arda—dates the era of the image, which can be deduced as taking place during the planet’s primordial period, since said trees would not be long for the burgeoning world....

Launching three months ago, Disintegration was initially seen as an exciting prospect, with the studio behind the game, V1 Interactive, being founded by Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto. However, upon release, the game didn’t manage to make much of an impact, with critics claiming its unique mix of real-time strategy and free-flowing FPS gameplay was interesting but ultimately too shallow. Sadly, it seems Disintegration won’t get time to build on these criticisms and start anew, with V1 announcing today that the game’s multiplayer support will be terminated at the end of November....

Call of Duty: Warzone will soon be seeing its one year anniversary. As successful as the battle royale has been, Warzone is riddled with hackers and glitches that seem to dampen the experience at every turn. While ruling with an iron fist against cheaters seems to be a good idea–to rid the game of players who ruin the experience for others–Dr Disrespect recently voiced his opinion in regards to throwing down the ban hammer too early....

They combine very structured and calculated assassin training with a deep talent in something like music, singing, or poetry. However, there’s a lot more than that to bards. Their training has many in-between tactics that all thread together in order to make them able to pull off the espionage....

It’s not easy for a franchise to maintain a passionate audience for nearly four decades, and yet there’s no end in sight for Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball. There are hundreds of hours of entertainment between the many Dragon Ball anime, manga, video games and more, but the series’ feature film installments frequently tell stories that are too big to contain in the standard anime....

Battle of Gods is inarguably the most important movie in the Dragon Ball franchise. Not only did it revive the franchise, it did so by actually moving the story forward while serving as a commentary on Goku’s character. It’s a love letter to everything Dragon Ball, reminding fans what they’ve been missing all these years. Just as importantly, were it to be a one-off deal, Battle of Gods could serve as an alternate finale for the series....

Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson explains his opinion on PlayStation Neo and Project Scorpio, saying incremental console upgrades will be ‘great for the industry.’ Both Sony and Microsoft are moving forward with incremental console upgrades - in the form of PlayStation Neo and Project Scorpio respectively - as opposed to the huge generational leaps of the past. If these consoles prove popular enough, it could mean major changes to how the console gaming industry operates in general, and so third party publishers and developers also have a vested interest in the success of the new systems....

It hasn’t been a great fiscal year for publisher Electronic Arts, with a recent study revealing that CEO Andrew Wilson was among the top 100 most overpaid CEOs of 2019. Yet it seems the poor results for Fiscal Year 2019, which ended on March 31st, has led the CEO and several executives to request to forgo their performance bonuses, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing on June 21st....

Elite Dangerous: Odyssey arrived in May bringing with it a new land-travel system allowing players to hoof it across brand new planets bearing all-new weapons. Unfortunately, it also brought a bunch of bugs and glitches that landed the expansion a “mostly negative” review on Steam. To their credit, Frontier Developments were quick to acknowledge that they botched the release of Odyssey and promised fixes were coming. Frontier founder and CEO David Braben offered his personal apologies and assurances that Odyssey’s launch issues were being taken “very seriously and that they are our top priority and focus....

Elon Musk maintains an active presence on his social media platforms, particularly Twitter, where he responds to his fans and general users. Even though Musk is officially the richest man in the world, he actively responds to his fans on Twitter regarding his businesses, Tesla & SpaceX, as well as a variety of topics. Musk uses Twitter to discuss various subjects and finds time to answer questions and even post memes here and there....

Epic Games will be awarding certain Fortnite players an Equalizer Glider following a mix up with the end date of the 14 Days Of Fortnite challenge. In the build to the festive season, a massive snowstorm hit Fortnite Island. Players could see it coming from the starter island where you gather while waiting to be picked up by the battle bus. When it did hit, a massive part of the map was subsequently covered in snow giving the whole game a real Christmassy feel....

Earlier this week, the first trailer for Pokemon: Detective Pikachu was released. A film adaptation of the 3DS game Detective Pikachu, the trailer has generated quite a bit of buzz, with particular attention given to Ryan Reynolds’ portrayal of Pikachu and the somewhat “realistic” design of the Pokemon. While the trailer focuses mainly on the titular Detective Pikachu, it’s actually full of Pokemon from a variety of generations. Some are harder to spot than others, and it’s possible that there are even more that have yet to be found....

Following up on last week’s reveal that SoulWorker: Anime Legends would be making its way to mobile devices later this month, publisher Gameforge and South Korean developer Aprogen Games have officially released the game, making it available now for iOS and Android mobile devices. SoulWorker: Anime Legends brings the popular post-apocalyptic free-to-play MMORPG to Western audiences, offering up everything that fans of the franchise would expect, including high-energy battles and anime-inspired cinematic gameplay, while providing a brand-new experience within the SoulWorker universe....

There was a time when no one cared about Ghostbusters. It was the late ‘90s – the pre-Pokemon, post-Mighty Morphin Power Rangers days to be exact. Nobody’s kid was exactly clamoring for a sequel, reboot, or a Ghostbusters continuation of any kind – except for Dan Akroyd, who was practically lobbying for a third installment while sitting front row at the Ghostbusters II premiere. Which is why we have this: an awkwardly timed, tonally disruptive Ghostbusters animated series....

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout could maybe, quite possibly, hopefully (we’re begging at this point) coming to the Nintendo Switch soon enough, according to the revelations of a datamine. The wacky, free-for-all title, currently available for the PlayStation Store and PC, has become the shocking new gaming craze. It’s pretty popular on social media too, with the official Twitter page now up to 1.2 million followers and it’s currently the most-watched game on Twitch at the moment....

Fall Guys developer Mediatonic has been consistent with its updates for the popular battle royale game, and it seems like the studio has made some more fan-requested changes. A new patch for the game that went live last night has made the newest Fall Guys stages more prevalent, something fans have asked for since the beginning of season 2. Fall Guys’ newest stages include an intense new race called Knight Fever, which has quickly become one of the hardest levels in the game, and the well-designed but frustrating Wall Guys mini-game....
