To do whatever you want without worrying how it impacts others. For a rich billionaire, this is incredibly important to Scrooge’s character. In amassing all his wealth he can’t get off scot-free. He has to have hurt some people. The show has previously tackled this idea multiple times, especially when it came to Glomgold’s backstory....

The fantasy genre boasts an incredible amount of diversity, offering a wide variety of settings, tones, and character arcs. In fact, fantasy may even stand as the most diverse genre on the market, but that hasn’t stopped countless books, movies, and TV shows from retreading the same ground. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but if more storytellers turned to Dungeons and Dragons and The Elder Scrolls for inspiration, the genre would look even better....

The Explorer’s Guide to Wildemount is now available, which means that Dungeons and Dragons players can head off to the world of Exandria and explore the Biting North, the Menagerie Coast, and all the rest of Wildemount in new campaigns. In addition to tons of lore about the continent’s history and politics and an extensive Gazetteer detailing each region’s zones, the book also introduces a new type of magic and some exciting character subclasses that take advantage of these new powers....

While the idea of a new Rock Band on current-gen has been high on gamers’ request lists, few could pin down what the franchise would need to do to replicate its success. At the top, one would think that a Rock Band 4 would presumably need to have something unique about it in order to make a profit. Electronic Arts gives Star Wars fans a behind-the-scenes look at the production process for the multiple games it has in development for the science fiction universe. Today, Electronic Arts dedicated a portion of its E3 2016 press conference to the Star Wars franchise with Motive Studios’ Jade Raymond at the helm of the keynote address giving fans an overview of the company’s relationship with the sci-fi series thus far. A new patent by Electronic Arts could completely change how the publisher and the studios under its management create new worlds and mission maps. The patent, which is for new imaging software, could help developers everywhere from creating realistic terrain in BioWare’s Dragon Age series to forming the alien planets of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 by Respawn Entertainment. The patent uses a number of existing technologies and marries them together to create a new form of terrain generation, which none of the individual parts would be able to make on their own....

The Sims represents one of the most recognizable PC series’. Beginning as a more personal branching-out of the beloved Sim franchise from Maxis, the series has lasted the test of time. With time though, all games must eventually make that walk into the sunset and it just so happens to be that time for The Sims 2. Now that Yager is no longer working on Dead Island 2, the studio’s managing director, Timo Ullmann, discusses how being removed from the project affects the company. After Dead Island 2’s former game developer Yager and its current publisher Deep Silver both gave an explanation saying its visions “fell out of alignment” back in July of this year, Timo Ullmann has been given enough time to process all of the adverse effects that being taken off the project has had for his studio....

Last month, it was leaked that Fallout 76 would be adding a new mode called Nuclear Winter. Now Nuclear Winter has been officially announced by Bethesda, and as some predicted, Nuclear Winter will be a full-blown battle royale mode for Fallout 76. And it’s available in the game now. The Fallout 76 Nuclear Winter battle royale mode will allow up to 52 players to battle it out in the game’s post-apocalyptic wasteland....

Several months ago, it was revealed that Fallout’s fourth installment was Bethesda’s most successful game, and now it looks like the publisher and developer is giving another company a shot at at making a lucrative and successful tabletop game with Modiphius Entertainment officially announcing that it has a tabletop version of the post-apocalyptic RPG in the works. The news comes from the teaser image seen above that was shared on the firm’s Facebook page over the weekend....

A fan has created a crossover between Among Us and Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, the latest installment in the Kingdom Hearts series. Specifically, the video shows how Among Us betrayal mechanics could make Melody of Memory’s multiplayer mode more chaotic than it already is. Although Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory is primarily a single-player rhythm game recapping the series’ story, it features an intense local and online competition mode. Players can send “tricks” to their competitors, which make it harder to follow the rhythm in a variety of ways....

In a tweet posted to the Devil Engine twitter account, Thomas and Joseph Bailey, the duo behind the art and music for the game, have asked fans not to purchase the game stating that it is being sold without their consent. Unfortunately, this is not the first time that the behind the scenes legal trouble with Devil Engine has outshined the retro style shooter’s actual gameplay. Back in July 2020, the person behind Protoculture games, Tristan Chapman, publicly claimed that they hadn’t been paid for the work they had done on Devil Engine and was thus prevented from releasing any additional content for the game....
