Dragon Age 4, the upcoming RPG sequel from BioWare, has dropped its first proper trailer at the Game Awards 2020. It’s been two years since the game was first teased at the same event in 2019, though the actual title has yet to be revealed. The new trailer ends with the Dragon Age logo, but with no indication of any number or further title. While it was fairly short at just 1:21 minutes, the teaser trailer reveals quite a lot about the tone and style of the upcoming Dragon Age game....

Dying Light 2 has just been released, and critics love the zombie survival/parkour simulator. The game is wowing audiences with its slick action and tense atmosphere, which players can either experience alone or with a friend thanks to the sequel’s unlockable co-op mode. Much like the original Dying Light, Dying Light 2 is an open-world RPG where players can jump around rooftops, kill shambling zombies, and complete numerous missions. But when night falls, that’s when the big enemies come out of hiding and stalk the streets....

Lately, toxicity in the video game industry is an issue that gaming companies are trying to address and resolve on all levels. Recently, senior director of global delivery service for EA Ireland, Philippe Grenet, was fired for making an inappropriate comment to a female colleague. It was reported in the High Court on November 9th that Grenet remarked next to another female colleague that he was not “going to pull [his] dick out and put it on the table to see who has the bigger dick....
A WhoIs Lookup of the domain reveals that Electronic Arts went and renewed the domain for another year on May 2nd, something which went unnoticed by the general populace until today. While keeping the domain names of potential sequels is regular practice for larger intellectual properties (the company also purchased domains for Battlefield 13 to 20 as well), the timing of EA doing this barely a month before the E3 Expo seems almost too convenient....
EA Sports is facing a lawsuit for allegedly increasing the difficulty of FIFA 21’s Ultimate Team (FUT) mode in a deliberate effort to increase revenue from loot boxes. The suit was filed in a California court by Jason Zajnoc, Danyael Williams, and Pranko Lozano. In FIFA 21’s FUT mode, players build their own teams by choosing a roster of players from each FIFA league. If successful, players can win coins that can be used to purchase loot boxes called Ultimate Team packs, which contain a random assortment of players....
