As far as weird games are concerned, it’s hard to beat out Destroy All Humans. With plenty of crude humor, a bizarre storyline, hilarious propaganda, and dozens of tongue-in-cheek references, we were shocked when THQ Nordic announced a remake was in development. The game holds up surprisingly well despite first launching in 2005, and just about everything from that original title remains intact — including the hilarious Half-Life references. Destroy All Humans isn’t shy about tipping its hat to other pop culture sensations....

It’s taken a while, but God of War has finally been ousted from its position at the top of the UK sales charts, which it held for five weeks in a row. Now topping the charts is Quantic Dream’s Detroit: Become Human, another PlayStation exclusive title. It will be interesting to see how long Detroit: Become Human can keep the top spot, and if it can match the resilience of its predecessor....

Yesterday, we saw a bunch of announcements and reveals courtesy of Microsoft’s X018 event, including new titles being added to the Xbox Game Pass and a short but sweet Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer confirming the returning Winnie the Pooh world. But for a brief moment, fans of Capcom’s upcoming hack-and-slash sequel, Devil May Cry 5, were treated to some new footage showing off the game’s practice mode, dubbed The Void....

Starting today, Blizzard’s action role-playing game Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition can be downloaded and played free of charge on the Xbox One for those who currently hold a valid subscription to Xbox Live Gold. Divinity: Original Sin 2 brings players together in a strategic form of cooperation that isn’t found in most games. As The Division 2 enters a weekend of open beta, Ubisoft has also released an overview of their content plan for the next year. The plan includes details about new episodes and specializations, as well as exploring in-game monetization. The post outlines a commitment to bringing an exciting endgame experience to players. This is set to include three episodes, which will be released over the course of year one, to expand upon the original story....

Despite the fact that id Software’s original Doom released way back in 1993, the title is still being enjoyed by myriad fans today, and there are also plenty of folks out there hard at work making their own mods for the game. As a matter of fact, one fan recently decided to create a mod for what many consider to be “the granddaddy of first-person shooters” by adding weapons from Blizzard Entertainment’s team-based shooter, Overwatch, into the classic title....

It won’t be long now before gamers are taking on some of their favorite Dragon Ball characters in a brand new 2.5D fight title. The game in question, Dragon Ball FighterZ, is set to arrive in February 2018, and publisher Bandai Namco has begun ramping up its release of roster updates for the project in order to start building excitement. Fans previously saw confirmation that heroes Yamcha and Tien will join FighterZ, but now a couple of baddies have been confirmed to, presumably, tilt the scales a little bit....

One of the few recurring elements in the Final Fantasy series that has been there since the beginning is the Ribbon, which is one of the most prized items in each game that it appears. The Ribbon offers total immunity from status effects, making it a must-have item for adventurers who are tackling end-game bosses. The functions of the Ribbon can easily be replicated as an item in a Dungeons & Dragons campaign....

E3 may have started as an industry show designed to give developers and publishers the kind of public platform that they were previously denied, but over the years, it’s become clear that the show is really all about memorable moments. Guitar Hero might be back, but Guitar Hero Live isn’t the game people remember. Sure, the basic concept is the same: players accompany pre-recorded music on a plastic guitar, hitting buttons to match “notes” that scroll down the screen. It’s a simple idea that relies almost entirely on the novelty controller, which provides a basic wish-fulfillment fantasy. It’s not really playing guitar, but it feels close enough. Everything else, though, is totally different....

At last, it’s finally here: Star Wars Battlefront gameplay. The first round was shown today during Electronic Arts’ E3 presentation, and continued during Sony’s. However, the gameplay shown at each press conference was a little different. While EA’s focus was on general gameplay, Sony introduced a survival gamemode that looks to challenge players’ skills at holding off waves of enemies. Basically, the Star Wars Battlefront Survival mode is similar to any other survival game mode known, but with a Star Wars flare....

There are no longer prompts that add this in.” The E3 press portal has finally opened up, and quite frankly we’re all a little confused. It asks us to create a delightful avatar, based on what appears to be the worst picrew ever conceived, and then create a profile using nothing more than an empty text box....

NCAA Football has been on hiatus for nearly seven years now, and the recent announcement of EA Sports College Football is being met with excitement from many fans. The return to college football for EA is something many have speculated about, given recent changes to regulations about pay for college players and other rules in regards to the use of the NCAA license. The new title for NCAA Football hints at somewhat of a reboot for the franchise, which seems to be its legitimate title, and EA Sports College Football could end up something very different from what fans expect....

At E3 2019, developer FromSoftware released a teaser trailer for Elden Ring, an action role-playing game from Dark Souls director Hidetaka Miyazaki and Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin. FromSoftware didn’t post another Elden Ring trailer until June 2021. During the long wait, things got weird. “As the months passed, it became clear that we weren’t getting Elden Ring [anytime soon],” says Sean of the YouTube channel The Lore Hunter....

Dead Space is one of the scariest titles of all time. Roaming around the claustrophobic halls of the USG Ishimura and tackling wave upon wave of horrifying necromorphs is not an enticing prospect in the slightest, but it’s the brilliant level design and haunting story of Dead Space that forces players to get over their fears and tackle the threats that lie within. After launching last summer, the popular alternative battle royale Fall Guys continues to evolve in order to keep things fresh for players. In its third season, developer Mediatonic has managed to add new events to bolster its already robust lineup, while also offering new playlists, and seasonal content to unlock. Fall Guys has had no shortage of crossover events as well, featuring cosmetic outfits from plenty of iconic franchises like DOOM, Sonic the Hedgehog, Godzilla, and more....

The Commonwealth’s wasteland is a treacherous and tough place to live in, and yet people have ways to make it work. From becoming raiders and mercenaries to leading powerful underground factions towards the glory of the new post-apocalyptic world, NPCs of Fallout 4 never fail to impress with how tough they have. Female NPCs, in particular, are absolutely incredible in this game. Bethesda not only included women of various ages, but also of diverse backgrounds....

Finding power armor in the Fallout 76 wasteland may very well be many gamer’s first priority. Nevertheless, maintaining and running power armor isn’t so simple, as they are powered by fusion cores which are relatively rare. Without them, power armor can’t be used to the best of its ability. To find fusion cores, veteran players will know to loot generators, abandoned power armor, and loot containers. This straightforward method will not yield high results in Fallout 76, but it’s something simple to do in passing....
