Since Bethesda announced Fallout 76, fans have been wondering when the game would be available. Well, during Bethesda’s E3 2018 press conference, Fallout 76 game director Todd Howard broke the news and confirmed that the game will launch on November 14, 2018 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The release date for Fallout 76 is in line with previous rumors, but also contradicts others. For example, many theorized that Fallout 76 would release this year, as Bethesda tends to avoid announcing games years in advance (though there were a couple of exceptions tonight in the form of Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6)....

An ardent and talented Half-Life 2 fan creates his own sequel to Valve’s beloved sci-fi franchise which is set to launch on Steam in February of this year. Half-Life 2 fan and independent game developer Richard Seabrook has made a Half-Life 2 campaign that’s set to build upon the story of Half Life: Opposing Force. Known as Prospekt, Seabrook’s creation is scheduled to release on February 11, 2016 on Steam for PC players....

Video game developer Bungie officially releases the last patch for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of its science fiction shooter Destiny. In order to prepare Destiny for the forthcoming Rise of Iron expansion, the developers at Bungie have put out the game’s 2.3.1 update, which causes the exotic Warlock helmet Apotheosis Veil to now appear in the exotic armor blueprints kiosk in the Hall of Guardians in the Tower, and also fixes some issues with classes as well as activities....

Now, the studio is finally delivering, and while full launch is still a ways away there’s plenty of new Necromancer details to be excited about....

Diablo 4 is bringing Blizzard’s dungeon crawler back with a vengeance, inviting players to explore dark and gruesome environments as they battle against the best (or worst) that hell has to offer. It seems like everyone has a streaming service nowadays, and so it’s no surprise that Disney is moving forward with its own streaming service later this year. Disney’s streaming service is called Disney+, and it will launch on November 12 with apps for PC, mobile devices, and video game consoles, including the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. Disney+ will cost $6.99 per month or $69.99 for a year (basically giving consumers two months free if they go for this option), and some may be wondering if it will be worth the asking price....

Square Enix’s E3 presentation was full of optimism about the upcoming years in gaming. Take-Two Interactive’s attempt to purchase Codemasters, the publisher of Dirt 5 and other racing games, may have been gatecrashed by Electronic Arts. The gaming giant is reportedly attempting to outbid Take-Two, which was set to acquire Codemasters last month using a mix of cash and shares. Take-Two reached an agreement with Codemasters to purchase the company for roughly $960 million in November. The acquisition was expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2021, with all of Codemaster’s senior staff planning to stay onboard post-acquisition....

When Electronic Arts announced its ten-year long development deal for the Star Wars license, one of the brightest spots was the widespread belief that the publisher’s top shooter studio — DICE, the makers of Battlefield — would be tasked with rejuvenating the Star Wars: Battlefront series.
