From Software’s upcoming game Elden Ring may prove to be a return to the developer’s roots and a departure into uncharted territory. Elden Ring will be taking another stab at the dark medieval fantasy that put From Software on the map, but it also promises some big changes in storytelling, presentation, and mechanics. With a larger open world, a deeper emphasis on RPG elements, and a large chunk of lore sourced from legendary writer George RR Martin, Elden Ring appears to be the crystallization of some of the disparate pieces that went into Dark Souls....

The Elder Scrolls 6 is one of the most anticipated games of the coming decade. However, with little news from Bethesda since the release of the game’s teaser trailer in 2018, the Skyrim sequel will need to deliver a huge world to explore that feels as rich and original as Skyrim did almost ten years ago. The Elder Scrolls 6 is rumored to take place at least partially in the province of Hammerfell, home to the Redguards....

It’s finally been confirmed: ITV’s Endeavour will return for another three-episode series, which will be the Inspector Morse prequel’s final outing. It was announced this week that a mutual decision had been made between producers Mammoth Screen, creator Russell Lewis and stars Shaun Evans and Roger Allam to bring the crime drama to a close. The currently filming ninth series will be Endeavour’s last. Mammoth Screen commented: “Russell always knew where he wanted the series to end, and that Remorseful Day is nearly upon us!...

Epic Games’ continued efforts to leap into competition with Valve’s Steam remain stalwart as changes have been made to Epic Games Store policy following a recent controversy. Shenmue 3 fans grew angry following the announcement that Shenmue 3 would be an Epic Games Store exclusive on PC, a shift away from a promised release on Steam made during the game’s Kickstarter crowdfunding. Initially left without recourse, Shenmue 3 fans will now be eligible for a refund....

Unfortunately, HBO Max is adding a couple more DC shows to its ever-growing list of casualties. Titans and Doom Patrol have officially been canceled by Warner Bros. Discovery. Both shows still have another half of a season to air on HBO Max at a yet-to-be-determined date, but these season 4 episodes will serve as their final chapters. While some viewers immediately assumed the newly appointed heads of DC Studios James Gunn and Peter Safran were to blame for the cancellations as they try to figure out how to move forward with the on screen DC Universe, Gunn took to Twitter to let fans know that this wasn’t their decision....

Pokemon is currently in a good place as its most recent mainline releases of Pokemon Sword & Shield are selling well. Fans have been happy with the direction of the series now despite the backlash regarding the National Pokédex in the Galar region. Its first DLC, the Isle of Armor was met with decent reviews, but its latest release titled The Crown Tundra seems to be fulfilling fan’s desires and is doing well critically....

Fans of Diablo 3 have quite a bit to look forward to March 13 with the start of Season 20 and the release of Patch 2.6.8. As the release of Evil Genius 2: World Domination draws closer, Rebellion have announced some new features and functionality coming to the game. Not only will there be a Sandbox Mode, allowing total creative freedom for your evil schemes, but there will also be season-based releases to follow offering both paid and free extra content. Evil Genius 2’s release will include a physical Collector’s Edition as well as a digital Deluxe Edition, both of which have a pre-purchase discount that is increased for those who own Evil Genius....

When the term battle royale gets thrown around it tends to be associated with massive, multiplayer shooters. The kind of game where everyone drops out of a flying vehicle, grabs every piece of armor or weaponry they can find, and then runs around until they’re shot in the face or somehow win. But Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is different. It certainly operates like a battle royale but there’s nary a shotgun to be found....

Though it may have its detractors, it seems near impossible to deny Fall Guys’ continued success. The game is about to enter its third season of content, and developer Mediatonic has confirmed that the game managed to sell over 11 million units on the PC alone. That success is no doubt partly responsible for all of the collaborations fans have been able to enjoy since launch. Fall Guys has received skins based on other video game characters, from Sonic the Hedgehog to the goose from Untitled Goose Game, and now it appears that a Bethesda icon will be ripping and tearing into the game soon....

In Fallout: New Vegas’ Old World Blues DLC, players were introduced to the Big Mountain Research and Development Center, more commonly known as the Big MT, Big Empty, or the Crater. Originally, it was an active, pre-Great War defense facility, yet over time, its modes and methods changed. By the time the New Vegas Courier arrives, the Big MT has been decimated into a crater, the scientists have had their mind wiped, and the self-contained environment had become simply bizzare....

About a couple of months ago, Blizzard Entertainment’s careers site hosted a bevy of different job listings for Artists, Animators, and Engineers, with the open positions seemingly inferring that the development of a new Diablo game is happening. Now, Blizzard has teased that this could definitely be a possibility, as the franchise’s Associate Community Manager, Brandy “Nevalistis” Camel recently revealed the studio has “multiple projects” in the works which are related to the action-RPG series....

Anticipation regarding Blizzard’s next foray into the Diablo franchise is once again growing - and for good reason. An array of purported leaks and rumors have spread online recently, each claiming to have insider information regarding a prospective Diablo 4. Is Diablo 4 a Witcher-esque single-player title? Is it an isometric MMO? Sadly, no leak has yet been corroborated, making their reliability suspect. Another character is about to join Crash and Coco on their new adventure as Activision just announced that former villain Dingodile will become a playable character in the upcoming Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. The half dingo, half crocodile’s arrival was one of the many features that will be made available when the game launches later this year. Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be the first brand new game in the franchise after over a decade....

Division 2 players hoping that developer Massive Entertainment might tweak the raid difficulty on console are out of luck, as this week the studio confirmed it has no plans to do so. The developer did, however, detail some improvements to gameplay and bug fixes that are in the works, and could potentially alleviate some of the difficulty of the Operation Dark Hours raid. During this week’s State of the Game stream, developer Massive Entertainment spent a sizeable amount of time congratulating those Division 2 players that had completed the Operation Dark Hours raid....
