This Doom Patrol review contains spoilers. Doom Patrol Season 2 Episode 5 Well, that escalated quickly. After what seems like a fairly low-key episode where Doom Patrol lulls viewers into a false sense of security, all hell breaks out, and there’s no going back now. A stark shift from the party atmosphere of last week, “Finger Patrol” delivers betrayal, murder, and a severed finger. Oh, and a ‘70s-inspired opening credits for a show starring our robot cops....

A new Dungeons & Dragons live stream show is about to launch, but this one is unlike any others. InstaQuest is the upcoming RPG web series that combines high fantasy D&D with high tech mixed reality visual effects. The augmented reality set surrounding the players will display their world in real-time, creating an immersive D&D adventure story never seen until now. Almost a year after the game hit digital and in-store retailers, SimCity will finally support mods. EA and developer Maxis made the announcement in an official blog, but even that announcement was not without its own restrictions. First, the good news. As the blog post states, Maxis is in full support of any modifications to SimCity be they add-ons, new content, UI tweaks, or updates that use content like code, art, footage, etc....

The Elder Scrolls games have remarkable staying power, with many fans of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion still exploring and modding their 13 and 9-year-old games, respectively, to this day. Even so, mods can only change so much, and as the series continues and improvements are made to the visuals and overall gameplay, some can’t help but wish that the games that made them fall in love with The Elder Scrolls series were updated....

Which is sort of what happened to Cary Towne Center, a smaller shopping mall right outside of Raleigh, North Carolina. After losing three of its anchor stores, the mall was bought out by Denali Properties “in a distressed sale,” which means they got it for a fraction of what the property might have been worth a few decades ago. Rather than knock the whole thing down to start fresh, Denali got Cary Towne Center rezoned and have just recently sold it to Epic Games, who plan on converting the mall into their new campus by 2024....

In Fallout 3, players can find a vault in the northeast. This is Vault 108, an abandoned vault players can choose to explore. The location is barely lit and overrun by wasteland creatures, adding a bit of creepiness. Right from the entrance, players are able to notice the entrance has skeletons around it. Going through the vault will reveal a bit about its past and where the residents have gone. There are even locations in the Capital Wasteland where players can learn more....

Germany officially lifts its ban on Fallout 3, which could mean that Bethesda is working on putting out a re-release of the popular post-apocalyptic RPG. For those not in the know, Germany originally banned Bethesda’s Fallout 3 in 2009 due to its overly violent content, and eventually ended up offering gaming fans in the country a censored version of the open world title. Now, however, as IGN Germany has reported, with just three years left before the end of the statutory ten-year sentence for its banning, it seems as if the development studio “initiated a difficult and rarely-successful trial” with the Federal Department for Media Harmful to Minors (BPjM) in order to get Fallout 3 delisted....

After years of speculation, rumors, and false leads, Bethesda finally delivered news that Fallout 4 is indeed set for a debut later this year during their first E3 press conference this past June. Fans were treated to over 30 minutes of details, gameplay, and a trailer which confirmed Boston, Massachusetts to be the central location for players to explore. As expected, players have been chomping at the bit for more information about Fallout 4....

Days ahead of its release, playtesters confirm that there’s over 20 hours of content for players to work through in the next Fallout 4 expansion, Far Harbor. This week, vault dwellers will be able to get their hands on Far Harbor, the final piece of DLC currently scheduled to be released for Fallout 4. Ahead of it being made available, some playtesters have taken to Reddit to share some information and impressions based on their time with the expansion....

This year’s BAFTA Games Awards was filled with incredible titles. Hades left as the big winner of the night – claiming the Best Game Award – but indie gem Carrion managed to walk away with the Debut Game trophy lovingly wrapped up in its amorphous tentacles. The Best Debut Game Award is given to the best game created by a new independent studio. In this case, it went to Phobia Game Studio, with Carrion being its debut release....
