Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has been out for almost seven full months now, but despite this there has still been no word on the status of DLC 2. It is definitely coming, as many players have already paid for it, but there haven’t even been any leaks or V Jump Scans hinting at when it might come. Initially, it was thought that the DLC would release sometime in July, but instead DBZ: Kakarot broke its own DLC pattern....

Xbox head, Phil Spencer, expressed in a candid moment that E3 is “not as good” with Sony absent from the event. The sentiment is a rather wholesome one towards their main competitor in the sale for consoles and their games. During an interview in the closing of E3 with Giant Bomb, Spencer stated, “I wish Sony was here. E3 is not as good when they’re not here.” The statement is rather accurate, as E3 was certainly more toned down without Sony....

While fans await official confirmation from Mammoth Productions, the planets appear to be coming into alignment for filming to start on the ninth series of ITV crime drama Endeavour, starring Shaun Evans and Roger Allam. Series eight concluded on ITV in September 2021 with a touching tribute to Inspector Morse actor John Thaw, and some uplifting words from Allam’s Fred Thursday. Having reached its 33rd episode (the same number of Morse stories filmed), many predicted eight would be Endeavour’s final series, though Allam suggested the drama would have “a few more to wrap things up”....
Post-apocalyptic survival city-builder Endzone: A World Apart recently added in its ninth major Early Access update, titled the Livestock Update. As the name implies, the update shepherds in four new animal species, along with two new buildings, two new Hunting Lodge modes, new kitchen recipes, a new tutorial, and the usual host of improvements and bug fixes. Endzone has been in Early Access since April 2020, and already it’s a challenging and expertly-growing game, and promises to be well worthy of your gaming time once it fully launches....

This week is no different than any other, as Epic Games Store users can pick up the popular ARPG Torchlight 2. It’s available to get right now and will remain available through July 23 at 8:00 am. Torchlight 2 is a classic ARPG heavily inspired by the Diablo franchise. The original Torchlight was released in 2009 and was well-received, but lacked multiplayer due to development limitations....
One game featured prominently at the Devolver Digital presentation earlier this month was Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, a cartoonish mix of the battle royale genre with obstacle course-based game show. Fall Guys was given a PS4 and Steam release date of August 4 during the presentation, but before then the developers have decided to host a second closed beta test for the increasingly popular title. The initial beta was hosted the weekend of July 24, and in its first seven hours Fall Guys became the most viewed game on Twitch — only beat out in terms of overall viewership by the streaming platform’s “Just Chatting” option....

On October 3, there was a test of the presidential alert system that went out to every US citizen’s phone shortly after 1 PM. It read: “THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is needed.” This emergency system was met with some criticism, but also some hilarious responses, including a Star Wars meme suggesting Order 66 be enacted. Of those responses, one of the funniest came from the official Fallout 76 Twitter account, which parodied and mocked the alert....
Among the laundry list of things that the Fallout franchise is best known for (Pip-Boys, Power Armor, mutants…), ridiculous mods is pretty high on the list. Mod support on consoles for Fallout 4 was a huge deal and players on both the PC and the consoles got months of extra enjoyment out of the game thanks to the availability of new and fun mods to toy around with. As expected, that won’t be the case for Fallout 76 at launch....
Some fan out there has proven their worth to society by bringing everyone’s favorite source of terror, P.T., to VR, with the help of a Half-Life: Alyx mod. Just when you thought the world was done with P.T. (okay, to be fair, not sure who’d really believe that anyway), along comes AmbientDruth with this awesome project. It really is remarkable how P.T. has stood the test of time, since its 2014/2015 drama of being released and subsequently pulled from public access soon after....
The Yakuza series has been steadily gaining traction in the west over the past few years. Recently, Yakuza: Like a Dragon was confirmed for PS5 with a full English dub. However, the series has always been beloved in its country of origin, Japan. Now, a fan has created an amazing live-action mashup video of the Yakuza series and the Grand Theft Auto series. Not 24 hours after a team of Guardians set a world record for taking down the Templar in Destiny’s Vault of Glass raid, another team has set a new record of only 15 seconds. The lightning fast completing took incredible teamwork and strategy, and can be seen from a couple points of view via the Reddit post showing the record. In the Reddit post, a Destiny gamer going by Sweatcicle describes the process the group took to set the record....
The creative lead for Destiny’s story announces that he’s leaving Bungie after a thirteen year career and only six months at the position he was appointed in November. CJ Cowan, the mind most recently behind the continuously evolving story of Destiny, announced earlier this week that he would be leaving Bungie after a thirteen year career. Cowan chose not to divulge what, if any, plans he might have going forward, but it’s a fairly shocking decision given that he had only been made story creative lead for Destiny in November 2015....
Deus Ex: Human Revolution – precursor to Eidos Montreal’s upcoming Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – had its fair share of revolutionary gameplay moments due to a deft blend of dialogue, FPS-elements, and stealth-driven tactics, but one of the major disappointments came from the cyberpunk-themed release’s boss fights. Such a fumble was likely caused by the outsourcing of those stages during production, which resulted in fans being frustrated that they were forced into battle after trying to ghost the game....
Devil May Cry 5 has just registered a domain name, leading many to speculate on an imminent reveal from Capcom at this year’s E3. It’s time to start speculating on whether or not the latest iteration of Devil May Cry may have a subtitle. Fans of the original Diablo 2 were delivered the game announcement they’d been waiting for at BlizzCon 2021. Diablo 2: Resurrected is a remastered and upgraded version of the classic ARPG for modern platforms, yet despite developer Vicarious Visions’ pledge to recreate an authentic Diablo 2 experience, many fans question how far changes should go. Balance changes are a particular point of contention, but Vicarious Visions has no plans to go that far right now....
