When Far Cry 5 was first teased earlier this year, gaming fans were flung into a flurry of speculation and pre-launch excitement. Even before the FPS action-adventure title was officially announced, there was a slow leak of information on its rural Montana setting, its story that centers around an off-the-rails religious cult, and its cast of characters. Since then, publisher Ubisoft confirmed plenty more information, but few offerings have been exciting as the one that came today....

Far Cry 6 is all about the “guerilla fantasy”, according to narrative director Navid Khavari - it’s about taking the experiences of real world freedom fighters and using them as inspiration to craft a tale of blood, violence, and revolution that, according to Ubisoft, “doesn’t want to make a political statement.” But the connection to real world politics is impossible to ignore, especially as the game crafts a fictional island that’s loosely based on Cuba and many of the events that helped define it over the years....

Fate/Grand Order players have had over a month of brand new content since the Christmas 2019 rerun in November. However, the next rerun brings back a collaboration that originally happened over two years ago. From January 20th to February 2nd, everyone can play through the Prisma Codes Re-install event. With all the different timelines in Fate, the Kaleid (Prisma Illya) spin-off defined itself by adopting a Madoka Magica-like story instead of the normal Grail War plot....

Esports company FaZe Clan has announced the signing of NBA superstar Ben Simmons as a brand ambassador and investor. Simmons will operate under the tag of “FaZe Simmo.” The Philadelphia 76ers guard joins fellow NBA players Josh Hart of the New Orleans Pelicans, Meyers Leonard of the Miami Heat, and Jamal Murray of the Denver Nuggets as investors into the Los Angeles-based esports and lifestyle company. The two-time NBA All-Star has been associated with FaZe Clan before, having been snapped wearing team gear and with team members....

Destruction AllStars is the latest PS5 exclusive that comes from Lucid Games. Many players have been enjoying this frantic multiplayer car-battling title, especially since it launched as a free game for PS Plus subscribers. Even though the game has received mixed reviews from critics, the developers have still been updating the game with patches to iron out any issues that are affecting players’ gameplay experience. Lucid Games tweeted out a list of patch notes that were implemented today for Destruction AllStars in Patch 1....

Dragon Age: Inquisition has a Nightmare difficulty mode available for players that want a big challenge. What the difficulty does to the game stats is basically buff up the enemies. However, players can add other difficulties as well if they bought the Trespasser DLC, as that unlocks trials (such as giving enemies access to more abilities and/or buffing up only bear enemies). For those doing a Nightmare playthrough, there is a lot to consider....

Since it was showcased at the 2018 Game Awards, Dragon Age 4 has been incredibly quiet. An upcoming Dungeons and Dragons movie has been hit with a huge delay, causing the movie, originally scheduled for November 19th, 2021, to be pushed out all the way to May 27th, 2022. Though movie-goers are no stranger to delays caused by the Coronavirus, this one seems particularly drastic. Paramount claims that it delayed the movie as a result of pandemic related filming issues and studio closures, which is understandable as many movies have been delayed for the same reasons....
