Ubisoft reveals the Far Cry Primal DLC as well as the Far Cry Primal Collector’s Edition, which features a language book, a map of Oros, and the official soundtrack. When it launches next year, Ubisoft’s first person adventure Far Cry Primal will take people to the Stone Age. In a gameplay trailer that debuted at The Game Awards 2015 last night, fans saw how player character Takkar would not only be able to tame the game’s wild animals (such as dire-wolves and bears), but also how his ‘Beast Master’ skill allows the protagonist to command prehistoric predators to attack enemies....

Launching today on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, Fast and Furious: Crossroads appears to be celebrating its big debut by offering fans a brand new trailer, showing off exactly the kind of action Dom and the crew will be experiencing in their first big modern generation video game. Of course, the game hasn’t exactly had the smoothest ride since its announcement back at The Game Awards in December last year, being met with a 3-month delay last May as well as some significant backlash online....

All of the attention right now is understandably on The Last of Us thanks to that rather awesome TV show, but what about the other game franchise that Naughty Dog has become so popular for? What about Uncharted? The last time we saw Nathan Drake was in Uncharted 4 on the PlayStation 4, but anyone hoping that Naughty Dog will go back to the franchise should probably start to brace themselves....

Nintendo wouldn’t exist today were it not for Donkey Kong. The main antagonist of the arcade classic of the same name, Donkey Kong was Jumpman’s first rival before Mario began trading blows with King Koopa. It wouldn’t be until Donkey Kong Jr. where Nintendo would introduce a playable Kong and Donkey Kong Country when Rare would introduce the modern Donkey Kong who the franchise now anchors itself to. Since then, there have been multiple playable Kongs throughout the series....

During Bethesda’s E3 2019 Showcase, id Software Game Directors revealed new details about DOOM Eternal, the upcoming sequel to DOOM (2016), which is scheduled to release this November. Alongside new gameplay and a release date was a look at DOOM Eternal’s Collectors Edition, which includes a fully wearable DOOM Slayer helmet. The Collectors Edition is described as the “ultimate bundle for any DOOM fan,” and includes a copy of DOOM Eternal with an exclusive Steelbook Case, the Year One Pass which grants players access to two single-player DLC’s, a number of physical and digital collectible items, and the DOOM Slayer Wearable Helmet....

Throughout the Dragon Ball series, Goku has made many enemies, as well as friends. There are few characters more likable and thus this puts Goku into a position of constantly helping others or trying to improve his opponent’s fighting skills for the sake of competition. Earlier this year, Bandai Namco confirmed that it is developing a new action RPG title based on the popular Dragon Ball Z franchise, called Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. As its title implies, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot revolves around the story of Goku, but now it has been confirmed that other iconic characters from the anime and manga series will also be playable in the upcoming game. In the latest edition of the Japanese manga magazine V-Jump, popular characters from the franchise such as Piccolo, Gohan, and Vegeta, were confirmed to be playable in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot....

Dragon Quest has managed to solidify itself as one of the most popular staunchly classic JRPG franchises in the gaming industry. Spanning multiple titles the games have been known for their multilayered stories, unique design, challenging enemies, and last but not least dynamic, complex, and difficult dungeons. The dungeons being one of the flagship features of the series have had varied settings, enemies, designs, and even gimmicks. Each installment has taken an individual yet similar approach to its dungeons....

The Dragon Quest series will have exciting reveals during 2021, according to franchise creator Yuji Horii. Given that Dragon Quest has many sub-franchises, there are some exciting possibilities for what the reveals might be. Originally known in the West as Dragon Warrior, the Dragon Quest series is viewed as one of the most influential Japanese role-playing game series of all time. The series is often compared to Final Fantasy, but the two franchises are actually quite different....

Many Dungeons and Dragons players are familiar with the basic classes included in 5th edition, and some people choose to include two extra classes: blood hunter and artificer. The blood hunter was created by Critical Role DM Matt Mercer, and the artificer was introduced in 3.5e with the Eberron campaign setting. Now, with the addition of Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything, the artificer is more official in-game, although it is still up to Dungeon Masters’ discretion if they want it to be included at their tables....

Techland CEO Paweł Marchewka releases a letter to fans, thanking them for supporting Dying Light, while also promising new content for the game later this year. Just a few days ago, Techland gave gamers the opportunity to return to the zombie-ridden world of Dying Light with The Following, an expansion that added significant content to the year-old game. For those that have enjoyed their return to Harran, we have good news to share, as Techland has announced plans to continue supporting Dying Light throughout the rest of 2016....

Like Deus Ex: Human Revolution? Good, because Deus Ex: Mankind Divided looks like more of the same. That’s not a knock against Mankind Divided. Human Revolution is a great, if uneven, game, and the developers at Eidos Montreal could certainly be following a worse template. However, judging by Square Enix’s E3 presentation, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided refines the formula instead of reinventing it. With one exception: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’s story is all-new, of course....

E3 2019 has come and gone, and although there was plenty to be excited about, one glaring statistic also surfaced that the gaming industry as a whole should be concerned about. In a study conducted by Feminist Frequency - a not-for-profit organization that analyzes the media’s relationship to societal issues such as gender, race, and sexuality - results found that a mere 5% of video games shown at this year’s E3 contained a female protagonist....

Despite the company’s previous PC missteps, Peter O’Reilly, the senior marketing director of Origin, reveals that EA is “on a journey to regain the trust of PC gamers”. The past few years have been somewhat tough for PC gamers. While the most recent missteps have come from Warner Bros. Interactive (with Batman: Arkham Knight’s buggy PC launch and the announcement that Mortal Kombat X won’t be getting any more DLC on PC), Electronic Arts (EA) is also a notable offender....

At Comic Con 2011, NetherRealm Studios revealed the last (announced) DLC for Mortal Kombat (aka Mortal Kombat 9) - Freddy Krueger. The DLC announcement was received with mixed results from fans, some of which were hoping for an actual MK alum to return (Tanya or Goro, among others) as a playable character. Considering the studio isn’t expected to add any more characters - we may have to wait until the next Mortal Kombat title, presumably Mortal Kombat 10, to potentially take the reins of characters that didn’t make the cut this round....

The Elder Scrolls 6 and Starfield may be two of the most highly anticipated games currently in development. Bethesda announced both titles during E3 2018, with Starfield being the studio’s current focus and full The Elder Scrolls 6 development to follow. While Bethesda made clear both titles were still early in development during E3, perhaps it now regrets announcing both games so early. Todd Howard, director at Bethesda Game Studios, has now confirmed that both The Elder Scrolls 6 and Starfield will not be seen at E3 2019....

Hot on the heels of yesterday’s ‘WrestleMania Mode’ match-ups announcement, 2K Games has unveiled the entire ‘rasslin’ roster for WWE 2K14. The sporting giant’s first swing at an annualized grappling title, the game — developed by long-time series’ overseers Yukes! Interactive — will debut this October, featuring an enormous 84 Superstar selection. With 48 current competitors, 36 legendary names and a walk-in wardrobe’s worth of alternate attires, WWE 2K14 may not be the most extensive in series history (that honor goes to 2003’s SmackDown: Here Comes the Pain), but what the game lacks in sheer size, it more than makes up for in nostalgia....

Dan Ayoub, who worked previously as studio head of 343 Industries, has signed on with indie developer, Certain Affinity. Having already produced several games in the Halo series, including Halo: Reach and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, this career move brings him back to the series after three years, as Certain Affinity is co-developing Halo Infinite alongside 343. Ayoub will be working as Certain Affinity’s VP of Canadian operations, managing work at the studio’s Toronto base....

After the reveal that Fall Guys is coming to Nintendo Switch this summer, the BR game has now been revealed to be arriving on Xbox at the same time. It was revealed during this week’s Nintendo Direct that Fall Guys will finally arrive on Switch this summer. The good news keeps on coming for Fall Guys and its fans as the creators of the battle royale game have now revealed it will also be landing on Xbox this summer, presumably at the same time as it arrives on Nintendo Switch....
