Even DVDs aren’t immune to the logistical challenges introduced by the COVID-19 pandemic. And Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna appears to be one of the victims of those challenges. Distributor Shout! Factory announced on Saturday that the retail release of Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna on DVD and Blu-ray was delayed. The Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna DVD and Blu-ray combo pack was initially planned for release on July 7. It features both an English dub of the movie, as well as the original Japanese audio with English subtitles....

It’s launch day for Dirt 5, the fourteenth title in Codemaster’s long-running racing series. While Dirt 5 does make some changes to the series’ formula, at its core it remains an off-road racer with a focus on realism. Fans of the Divinity: Original Sin series will likely remember the game for its in-depth narrative and tactical gameplay. Larian Studios demonstrates this specialization with Divinity: Original Sin 2. After all, this sequel - set a century after the events of the first game - introduces new elements. These new additions include new characters and races, new Skills, and much more intricate tactical options. However, what Original Sin 2 fans might not realize is that this game still takes on tropes from “usual” RPGs....

As promised, id Software and Bethesda delivered a new look at Doom Eternal’s first major single-player DLC expansion during today’s Gamescom Opening Night Live presentation. Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods, Part One, is the first half a a two-part story in which the Doom Slayer confronts yet another ancient evil. The big announcement of Gamescom ONL, however, is The Ancient Gods, Part One’s release date. Doom Eternal players can pick up the DLC starting October 20....

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot fans have been waiting since launch for the Time Machine to be added to the game, and now publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment has finally issued word on when players will be able to do just that. The best part is that is just one of many recent reveals that are painting the future of the game, if only DBZ: Kakarot’s season pass was slightly more detailed, but at least it is a glimpse....

If there was anytime I felt more conflicted about writing “woo-oo” in my life, it would be today. We already knew DuckTales was coming to a close but we didn’t know how it would end. Would we get one new episode a week for weeks? Would they air them all in a row? Well, Disney just released the info and it wasn’t quite what we expected. DuckTales will return on February 22, 2021 and will air one new episode a week until March 15, 2021....

Ubisoft has just announced Skull & Bones, a new pirate game that, if the cinematic trailer is any indication, will be absolutely awesome. By the looks of it, the game will focus heavily on naval combat aboard lumbering ships. This is the second pirate themed game at E3 this year, with Sea of Thieves drawing stark contrast with its cartoony style and bubbly aesthetic. Skull & Bones seems to have a much more serious tone, showing the corpses of bested crews floating lifelessly in the sea amongst their booty....

Ubisoft demonstrates gameplay from the upcoming Eagle Flight VR, a virtual reality title that puts players in the form of an eagle flying over the city of Paris. Now that the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive have both launched, Ubisoft has shifted its focus accordingly. During the company’s E3 Press Conference earlier today, a panel of players provided an in-game demonstration of Eagle Flight VR, an upcoming highly stylistic virtual reality game which is controlled with movement from both a headset and a handheld controller....

FromSoftware has consistently delivered high-quality gaming experiences, and so it’s no surprise that there is a great deal of hype for its next project, Elden Ring. Unfortunately, there is still very little that fans actually know about Elden Ring, with FromSoftware remaining mostly quiet about the game since its reveal at Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference. Information on Elden Ring is still hard to come by, but evidence is mounting that a reveal could be taking place sooner rather than later....

I received the EPOS GSX 300 External Sound Card review assignment, and I was bewildered. What in the world was this thing for, consoles? I hadn’t ever realized any audio quality issues on console, and to my surprise, while it would probably work on any console with a USB port, it was designed for PC gaming. I have been PC Gaming since the late 1990s, and while I’ve certainly put in my fair share of sound cards, it had easily been more than a decade since I’ve done that, especially now that most gaming machines come with convenient audio ports on the front of the machine....

Both ESL and DreamHack, the two esports businesses owned by Swedish parent company Modern Times Group, have just announced a three-year long partnership with Twitch. ESL is the oldest still-operational esports business in the world as well as the world’s largest. DreamHack is likewise a long-running company that has gone through a series iterations, beginning as a LAN party in the late ’90s and eventually morphing into the live event production company and international gaming convention that it is today....

Capcom’s Resident Evil showcase event was meant to show fans exactly what they can expect from the survival-horror franchise for its 25th anniversary, and that’s exactly what it did. As promised, Capcom showcased the upcoming Resident Evil 8 and touched on some other Resident Evil projects in the pipeline for this year, giving survival-horror enthusiasts plenty to look forward to in 2021. Quite a bit of Resident Evil announcements were made during the showcase, particularly when it comes to Resident Evil 8....

Season 5 of Apex Legends started today, and the patch notes are incredibly extensive. We have a new legend, new zones in King’s Canyon, balance changes to Legends and weapons, and a brand new PVE game mode known as the Season Quest. There is also a new battle pass, a rotation to supply drops, and the return of one of the best hop-ups. Let’s dive in. Loba Loba is the new Legend available this season....
