Dragon Age: Inquisition had some great companion characters, beautiful scenery, and a powerful depiction of the Mage-Templar War, which had been building since Dragon Age: Origins. However, its approach to storytelling always meant that Inquisition was a bridge of sorts from the past to the future. This is something that Dragon Age 4 will need to avoid. If Dragon Age 4’s trailer from The Game Awards 2020 is anything to go by, the upcoming game could be walking down the same road....

The action driving title Driver 2 was released in 2000 on the original PlayStation. The sequel introduced new features to the Driver franchise like curved roads, multiplayer, and the ability to freely run around without a car. The features were impressive back in 2000, but with modern technology a team of indie developers has been able to create a PC port that is capable of running at 60 FPS. Many old games can be emulated, but the team of indie developers created a native PC port for Driver 2....

EA Access is coming soon to Steam, giving players the ability to get all of their favorite titles on the platform. If you’re not aware, EA Access is similar to Xbox Game Pass in that you pay a subscription fee and you get access to a variety of games and same-day play on new releases. We don’t know exactly when it will be available, but we are promised that it will be soon....

Few games are as highly anticipated as Elden Ring, the upcoming dark fantasy RPG from FromSoftware. Not only is it the new IP from the creators of Dark Souls and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice but it’s also a collaboration with George R. R. Fortnite’s Chapter 2 Season 5 released this past week, and it brought several new changes for the game including its own subscription service. Following Fortnite’s Season 5 launch, Epic Games released a news update yesterday detailing upcoming events in the foreseeable future. To close out 2020, Epic Games’ news update from the Fortnite team says it will continue to support online competitive events for the game. However, there will not be any in-person events in 2021, at the time of this writing....

For those hunting down all the secrets in Doom Eternal, Automap terminals are an incredibly useful tool. When used, an Automap will reveal the entire area to the player. Within this map are grayed out locations indicating that the player hasn’t explored there yet, which is often a secret to be encountered. In order to use this incredible tool players must first find the terminal, which can often be hidden as well....

Square Enix started May off with a bang by announcing that the company sold Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Interactive, as well as those studios’ respective franchises, to Embracer Group. That umbrella organization already has its fingers in many game studios and franchises (such as THQ Nordic’s Darksiders and Deep Silver’s Saints Row), and this recent sale has only added more potentially valuable franchises to Embrace Group’s already sizable library. Of course, this transaction raises obvious questions about what games Embracer Group actually gets out of the deal....

When one talks about the greatest first-person shooter franchises, it’s only a matter of time before Wolfenstein comes into the picture. A long-running series that puts players in the shoes of B.J. Blazkowicz as he tears through waves of Nazis in a whole host of different settings, Wolfenstein is a legendary franchise that has still remained fairly active to this day. The history of the Wolfenstein series is a long and enlightening one, with the franchise actually starting out with a completely different concept and direction before rebranding itself to become the Nazi-killing first-person shooter that we all know and love....

The final installment of Civilization 6’s New Frontier Pass is nearly here, and we’ve finally got some details on which leader will be the (potentially) last leader joining the Civilization 6 roster. In the upcoming DLC, players will get the chance to play as João III, who will lead Portugal. This leader will focus on Naval Units and Commerce, a unique combination in Civilization 6 for sure. In addition to the new leader, players will also be able to quire off against hordes of the undead in the new Zombie Defense game mode, which launches alongside the Portugal Pack....

Extraction, Netflix’s most recent big hit, has been extremely popular among viewers, but many may be surprised to know that the movie originally had a much more explicit ending. Fallout 76 is finally getting an increase to the stash limit size, something which fans have been requesting for a while. Fallout 76 may have been a bug-riddled mess at launch, but Bethesda has turned the game around with constant updates, numerous fixes, and free DLC. In doing so, Fallout 76 has garnered a somewhat small, but loyal, fanbase. Bethesda has done well to cater to that fanbase but has refrained from implementing a long-requested change to the game until now....

There’s no doubt that fans of Bethesda’s popular post-apocalyptic RPG IP are ready to try out the beta for the series’ next title, Fallout 76, so that they can get a feel for how the franchise’s first ever multiplayer online-only entry will play. However, since the testing period is set to go live next month, fans still have plenty of waiting to do. With this being the case, would-be Vault Dwellers and Wastelanders can at least make the wait a little more bearable by acquiring a new adult beverage inspired by the post-apocalyptic games called Nuka Dark Rum....

On Wednesday, the official Far Cry franchise’s social media account surprisingly revealed that a new game would be announced during The Game Awards 2018. It seems a second reveal is now available prior to the start of the show, though this one is absolutely unintentional. Introducing Far Cry: New Dawn, which appears to be the next major release in the Far Cry franchise. The new title is now known due to the fact that the box art was leaked accidentally prior to its official announcement....
