FIFA 21 may have already come out for current-gen platforms, but players’ and EA’s attention is most likely squarely on the upcoming PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions, which will boast a number of additional features that aim to make the game more realistic in terms of gameplay and visuals. However, earlier this week, FIFA 21 and EA Sports (the division of EA that develops and publishes the company’s sports titles) came under fire from actual footballer and AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimović, who said that the game is using his name and face without his permission....

The ongoing controversy surrounding what FIFA fans are calling “EA Gate” continues to grow. EA has now responded to accusations that official accounts were being used to sell rare, high-value FIFA Ultimate Team items for thousands of dollars. As its investigation begins, EA has also made an immediate decision to suspend the practice of rewarding discretionary items indefinitely. That’s unlikely to sate frustrations within the FIFA community, but it’s a start....

As the days and weeks mount to the launch of The Elder Scrolls Online’s Morrowind DLC, Bethesda continues to provide fans with glimpses and composites of the expansion’s gameplay, with the most recently released trailer for the add-on focusing primarily on the political intrigue and assassination inherent in the regions’ Great Houses. As intimated by the latest video, there’s plenty of “lies, deceit, [and] treachery” to go around. As evidenced below in Bethesda Softworks’ “Assassins and the Great Houses” trailer promoting The Elder Scrolls Online’s Morrowind expansion, fans are given an idea as to how they will need to navigate the murky political waters surrounding the three great houses in the area, as they determine their alliances to House Hlaalu, House Redoran, and House Telvanni....

Fallout 4 VR will be an “industry changer” according to AMD’s corporate vice president Roy Taylor. One of the first quests many players will experience in Fallout 76’s new update Wastelanders is the sequence of quests involving the Wayward, a local watering hole near Vault 76 that is run by world-weary wastelander Duchess and her ghoul companion Mort. It centers around a treasure hunter named Crane and a treasure he was supposedly seeking. The key card needed to access the treasure can only be gained after completing the quest Strength in Numbers, in which you rescue Duchess’s resident muscle, a human named Sol and an assaultron named Polly, from the nearby Gauley Mine....

One of Destiny’s greatest mysteries has been solved with the release of the Destiny 2 Warmind expansion. The character known as the Exo Stranger played a major role in the original Destiny, but due to the negative response to the game’s story, many plot threads were abandoned. The Exo Stranger being one such thread. Destiny 2 director Luke Smith would even go on to say the Exo Stranger wouldn’t be revisited....

Originally announced as a PlayStation 5 launch title, Destruction AllStars failed to gather the necessary hype required in order to justify its price tag, and as a result, Sony made the decision to delay the release of the game. Rather than release at full-price, Destruction AllStars will now be released as a free PlayStation Plus game in February on PS5 similar to Bugsnax, Worms Rumble, and Maneater before it. Less than a month from the release of Destruction AllStars, while PS Plus guarantees more players than it would have gotten as a full-priced PS5 launch game, many may not even know what the game is....

Next week, Destiny 2 will launch its second exotic quest for Season of Opulence, which is called the Lumina Quest. It is wildly believed that this quest will send players on an adventure to reclaim Rose, one of the weapons of sorrow in Destiny lore and the counterpoint to Thorn. But while this Lumina quest is the only announced exotic quest left for Season of Opulence, and by extension Destiny 2 Year 2, it might not be the last one waiting to unlock....
