The exotic world of Far Cry is about to get even more immersive. Ubisoft unveiled a new VR installment for the popular franchise, dubbed Far Cry VR: Dive Into Insanity, during its September 10 Ubisoft Forward livestream pre-show. Ubisoft is developing the project with Zero Latency VR, a technology company that offers on-site, free-roaming virtual reality experiences. What makes Dive Into Insanity stand out is that it will allow players to freely roam around the game space, unlike other VR shooters that put players on rails while they aim and shoot at oncoming enemies, or move by teleporting and joysticks....

In Devil May Cry 5, the three playable characters all have their own unique weaponry and fighting styles that they bring to the table. Dante has his Rebellion sword and Ebony & Ivory pistols, whereas V has control over three demonic pets. Nero, meanwhile, has his special Devil Breaker arms that come in a variety of different styles. Nero’s different Devil Breakers all have their own specific uses in combat, and learning when to use which one in certain situations is how players will earn the highest combat ratings with him....

Although many had hoped to see something more substantial from Star Wars: Battlefront at E3 2014, what developer DICE did have to show was, if nothing else, inspiring. The developer talked about having unfettered access to the Star Wars archives, how they plan to recreate the iconic environments from the films, and even gave us a brief taste of in-engine footage. However, after the footage faded to black many wondered if we would have to wait a full year to hear more about Star Wars: Battlefront....

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 has been out for a bit now and, like most new games these days, has a few issues that need sorting out. The title’s developers, Massive Entertainment, already provided a quick fix for the “skill bug,” as well as for the “netcode bug.” To be fair though, it’s turning out to be a great release overall. Fans waiting on the unlocking of World Tier 5, however, aren’t about to be placated just yet, although the devs have promised that it will be released soon....

Labyrinth, the 1986 fantasy-musical cult classic, is finally getting a sequel after all these years, to be directed by Doctor Strange’s Scott Derrickson. Deadline Hollywood reported that Derrickson had been attached to the project for The Jim Henson Company and TriStar Pictures; Derrickson himself confirmed the news via Twitter. In addition, Labyrinth 2’s screenplay was written by Maggie Levin, who also wrote Into the Dark. The Labyrinth sequel has technically been in development since 2014, though it took quite a while to move ahead with a director....

Doom Eternal released on March 20 after weeks of crossover art and memes with Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Now that players have a week of demon-crushing action under their belts, Rocketwerkz’ Senior Director and New Blood Interactive head Dave Oshry has revealed an unused pistol in id Software’s latest game that is still accessible via console commands. Oshry posted a video of himself activating the weapon using a Cheat Engine on Twitter Thursday, saying he heard it was scrapped “because it didn’t really fit the combat flow....

Goku turning Super Saiyan for the first time wasn’t just a game changer from Dragon Ball, it was a game changer for anime and manga in general. From that point on, Shōnen protagonists were granted the wonderful gift of transformation, an easy and (sometimes) narratively satisfying workaround to increasing one’s strength through training. For Dragon Ball, it was a sign of what was to come. Characters were getting stronger and Goku’s transformation marked the start of the overwhelming power so many characters in the series would go on to face....

Just as much as Super Saiyan redefined Dragon Ball, it redefined Son Goku as a character. After trying to disconnect himself away from his Saiyan heritage in the Saiyan and Frieza arcs, Goku turning Super Saiyan reconciled who he always was – Son Goku, a Saiyan who was raised on Earth. Alongside other characters, Goku would make the Super Saiyan transformation a staple of his skill set. Virtually every fight Goku participates in following Namek (if not every fight) features him turning Super Saiyan at some point....

The grand opening of Dragon Quest Island went down this past weekend, and from what we can see so far it looks like a grand old time indeed. Dragon Quest publisher Square Enix and Nijigen no Mori amusement park on Awaji island in Japan have created an immersive theme park inspired by the popular Japanese RPG series, Dragon Quest. The park brings together aspects of the games and opportunities for visitors to participate in real life adventures inspired by the series....

Wizards of the Coast unveiled the newest adventure book for Dungeons and Dragons, Candlekeep Mysteries. The official Dungeons and Dragons Twitter put up the announcement, showing off the latest expansion for the popular tabletop game. Having come out in 1974, the social RPG has seen a major resurgence since release of the 5th Edition. While players are free to come up with their own stories using the official rules, adventure books are a significant source of content for experiencing the game....

E3 2019 has come to a close, and as usual, the event featured a staggering number of games on display, including some promising horror games. With no new Capcom announcement as was rumored, the horror genre was a bit underrepresented compared to previous years, but there were still quite a few impressive horror titles at the show. In particular, these eight horror games stood out as the most impressive of E3 2019....

The rankings system released by EA for UFC 4 is a different system to the star rating system where a fighter’s abilities are measured on a maximum score of 5. While the star rating system does a good job of encouraging players to try out different fighters, it can lead to some confusion when it comes to EA’s top 50 fighters rankings. Naturally, when a ranking system is released that rates a fighter’s abilities based on accomplishments inside the Octagon, not all fans are going to be pleased with the results....

Freedom remains one of the reasons why Bethesda fans love The Elder Scrolls series. Epic Games finally revealed their new game Fortnite during last night’s Spike VGAs, and while it wasn’t exactly what everyone was expecting, it seemed like a cool premise that combines survival with… fort building. While the official debut trailer for Fortnite gave a basic idea of the final product that Epic has in mind, it really didn’t go into much detail at all. Since there is a current lack of info for the upcoming title, Epic Games’ Lead Designer, Lee Perry, took to Twitter to inform curious fans, and of course tease everyone about information that Epic is not willing to disclose just yet....

Eternal Senia, a free-to-play action role-playing game is quietly building a following on Steam and players have (mostly) nothing but praise for the simplified, pared-down combat game. Developer Inspired By Ragnarok Online In his game description, developer Holy Priest described his inspiration. “I believe that gaming should not be anything complicated or difficult, but a relaxing and pleasure [sic] experience,” the Chinese designer wrote. He went on to cite his love of Ragnarok Online as his inspiration for Eternal Senia....

What was Nintendo’s smallest console? It’s not the Gameboy Micro, it’s the Pokemon Mini! Released in 2001, the Pokemon Mini came in three colors: Wooper Blue, Chikorita Green, and Smoochum Purple. Fans may recognize the console from the game Pokemon Channel where a virtual version of it was available for playing mini-games. This console had far more solid games than most give it credit for and those that love Pokemon don’t want to miss out on the best of them....
