Earlier this year, we were treated to one of the biggest movies in cinematic history, Avengers: Endgame. A project that began 11 years ago and took an incredible 21 movies to build up to. It broke all sorts of box office records and it feels as if pretty much everyone in the world went to see it. Now that the Endgame hype has died down, gamers have returned to wanting to know more about their piece of the pie....

In an announcement that most saw coming, Electronic Arts has confirmed that Respawn Entertainment’s highly anticipated shooter Titanfall will be receiving “additional content.” The publisher broke the news during their investors call earlier today. While EA was ready to confirm DLC for Titanfall they would not say much more than that. In fact, EA’s Andrew Wilson wouldn’t even nail down in what form gamers might see this additional content. Instead, as Wilson explained on the call, Titanfall’s DLC will “evolve” alongside the game’s player bases....

Elite Dangerous aims to take one giant leap with its upcoming Odyssey expansion. This new content will not only allow players to disembark their ships, but also open up the far reaches of the galaxy, allowing players to be the first to step onto undiscovered planets and explore on foot. As part of the Odyssey expansion, Frontier will also introduce the First Footfall system, which revolves around the first player to set foot on a newly discovered planet....

Epic Games has silently announced Paragon, a PC-based shooter coming in early 2016 that will have players fighting for either glory, pride, fortune, or infamy. Epic Games has been keeping busy over the last few years, having recently released the Unreal Engine 4 for free, whilst simultaneously working on two different titles: Unreal Tournament and Fortnite. While talk of those two titles has been relatively quiet, many fans have been left wondering what the studio has been up to in terms of game development, and as it turns out, Epic Games has secretly been working on a third title called Paragon....

Evil Geniuses, one of the most recognizable names in esports, has announced its hiring of former Red Bull executive Michael Fudzinski as chief revenue officer. This addition comes after an incredibly successful year for Evil Geniuses, which saw the company enter nearly a dozen new and renewed brand partnerships in the final quarter of 2020. Fudzinski began his events career with roles at ESPN and Olympic Authority. He then took on a marketing career, using his passion for sports to eventually move up the leadership ladder....

Last year at BlizzCon, Blizzard finally gave the fans what they wanted by finally revealing Diablo 4. The reveal trailer showed a gruesome summon ritual, which resulted in the reappearance of Lilith, daughter of Mephisto and a key character in the franchise’s lore. While the Prime Evils have not been shown in any way, for now, it appears that Lilith will be the primary antagonist facing players this time around....

Bethesda games offer a degree of freedom that few RPGs can match. Their open landscapes and wide range of quests make their games immersive sandboxes that are hard to put down. Games this open are prone to bugs and inconsistencies, however. Fallout 4 is a good example of this, allowing players to craft entire towns by themselves. The issue is the game’s RPG systems suffered. The dialogue was massively streamlined and the main narrative is rather linear....

Destiny has been a monster release in more ways than one. After a reported cost of $500 million to develop and promote, a lot was expected from the Activision-published title. However, most dedicated players don’t need anything new; they’re happy testing out the boundaries of its mechanics with an array of self-imposed challenges. We’ve seen Guardians push the limits of the Sparrow, travel to as-yet-uncharted regions, and even change the game via the discovery and eventual removal of the infamous loot cave....

To say that there was a lot of frustration surrounding the announcement of Diablo Immortal at BlizzCon 2018 would be putting things mildly. While Blizzard tried to temper expectations going into the event, few could have predicted that a mobile game announcement would be the centerpiece of BlizzCon’s keynote. Currently, the YouTube trailer for Diablo Immortal has a staggering 162,000 dislikes, with about 5,600 likes....
