Fans around the world were disappointed when Rockstar Games’ highly-anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2 was delayed to 2018, but for the studio’s fellow industry competitors, the decision was positively greeted by almost all parties, the most recent one being Electronic Arts. During a recent financial earnings call for EA, CFO Blake Jorgensen admits that Rockstar’s decision to delay Red Dead Redemption 2 to 2018 has now provided “a little bit of opportunity” for the company and other players in the industry....

Activision recently announced changes to CEO Bobby Kotick’s pay package that would see his salary cut in half and also removes many of the equity bonus awards that were pushing him into the category of what some groups call “the most overpaid CEO in America.” And now it looks like EA is trying to follow suit. EA’s recent SEC filing on its notice for an annual shareholder meeting contains a say-on-pay proposal which will be voted on by shareholders in August for the 2022 financial year....

The horrific events that transpired during the Madden NFL 19 tournament shooting in Jacksonville are still very much on gamers’ minds, and developer Electronic Arts is working on ways to help out in the aftermath. In one such effort, EA has officially announced its intention to donate $1 million to the victims and their families. EA announced the Jacksonville Tribute on Twitter, and is doing more than just donating money. The company is also working on ways to support the victims of the Madden NFL 19 tournament, as well as finding ways to help bring the gaming community together after the horrifying event....

Nintendo Switch owners have a new title they can add to their collection, as Evergate surprise launches on the platform. After watching the launch trailer below, interested players should head over to the Nintendo eShop where they can purchase the game at 15% off. The game will typically be priced at $19.99, but the launch discount has lowered that price to $16.99 USD. Evergate takes inspiration from Ori and the Blind Forest, and that inspiration shows clearly in the gameplay....

Several weeks ago, Capcom released the highly-anticipated remake of Resident Evil 3, which received mostly positive reviews, but was criticized for being too different than its source material. Of course, with Resident Evil 3 out of the way, it is expected that Capcom will now be focusing some of its time supporting Resident Evil Resistance, which is the online multiplayer game that launched alongside Resident Evil 3. Just a couple of days ago, the company revealed its roadmap for Resistance, which will see the release of Jill Valentine this month, and another playable character in April....

Resident Evil 3 is set to bring players back to Raccoon City to witness and experience Jill Valentine’s harrowing escape from the T-Virus infected metropolis. Of course, while the remake is expected to remain faithful to the 1999 game, at least to some extent, Capcom revealed that Resident Evil 3 remake will also bring new things to the table such as redesigned characters, new storylines, and even a reimagined Jill Valentine....

Fall Guys, the neat battle royale indie title, has taken Twitch and the world by storm. Tuesday morning, developer Bethesda Game Studios set the imagination of gamers on fire by Tweeting out a gif featuring the phrase “Please Stand By” in the instantly recognizable Fallout style. A serious, scientific news story about the potential for life on the planet Saturn mistakenly uses a screenshot from Destiny: The Taken King as its lead photo. People clicking on a Yahoo News story about the potential for life on Saturn’s biggest moon were greeted by a lead photo that did not look quite so scientific. That’s because it was taken from Destiny: The Taken King. To Yahoo’s credit, the screenshot did show the planet Saturn, or at least the version of Saturn that is in Destiny....

Bungie’s February Destiny update might be mostly talked about for the Crimson Days event, but it also provided Guardians with a few more ways to express themselves. The Destiny February update went live mere hours ago, and patch 2.1.1 includes a slew of new content: the Crimson Days event taking place in the Tower, new Eververse items, freelance PvP playlists, and a number of much needed bug fixes. While all of those upgrades will receive their fair share of the spotlight, however, it would be an injustice to Destiny’s hard-working development team if gamers ignored another addition made in the latest update, as demonstrated in the video below....

Destruction AllStars released this month as part of the PlayStation Plus program.
