Minor complaints about the platform came first, such as a lack of basic social features and offline functionality. Then accusations got serious, with some even going as far as to say the store is secretly collecting user information to sell. Even so, more and more developers are flocking to the platform, meaning gamers will have to deal with it eventually....

The Epic Games Store often courts controversy with its business practices. However, this is not the case with its incredibly successful weekly free games policy. Every week, a new game becomes free to download on the store, running from Thursday to Thursday. Science fiction is a hugely popular genre in gaming, and the Epic Games Store recognized that this week with its free indie offerings. As such, the company has Surviving Mars available this week, with The Fall following next week....

Fresh off the reveal of his first foray into the superhero genre as the villain in Marvel’s Moon Knight, Ethan Hawke isn’t quite through with the headlines just yet. The veteran actor will now join the cast of the upcoming Blumhouse horror thriller, The Black Phone, which is set to begin shooting in February. Details on the movie’s plot are scarce, but Hawke will be working with director Scott Derrickson. This marks the first time Hawke and Derrickson had been on the same project in nearly a decade after the 2 had previously collaborated on 2012’s Sinister, which recently earned the distinction as the scariest horror film according to science....

When Darcy said “She recast Pietro?” at the end of WandaVision’s fifth episode, it looks she she might have been onto something. Evan Peters stormed onto Wanda’s sitcom set, breaking the fourth wall, already completely aware of the fact that none of it was real. He seemed to have some of her brother’s memories and recollections - even his death - and so people have been quick to assume that this is a genuine in-universe recast of the real Pietro or even Mephisto in disguise, toying with Wanda....

Fall Guys has enjoyed one hell of an opening week as more than two million people have bought the game on Steam. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout was released on PS4 and PC last week. On August 4, 2020, to be exact. The guys and gals behind Fall Guys revealed on Twitter that 1.5 million new players tried out the game within 24 hours of its release. The “new” clarification is key here as a lot of people had access to the game’s beta so were already playing before release day....

Fall Guys is getting ready to launch its fourth season in the near future, trading out the winter-theme it’s been donning since December for a futuristic focus. As with all the seasons so far, the new update will bring with it fresh courses and plenty of other surprises, as well as new costumes that players will be able to collect as they compete to win crowns. The highly sought after Pip-Boy Edition of Fallout 4 goes on sale yet again, only to sell out completely almost immediately after it’s made available for purchase. When it was revealed during Bethesda’s E3 2015 press conference that Fallout 4 would be available along with a replica Pip-Boy that mimicked the in-game device, fans immediately took to the Internet in hopes of acquiring one before they inevitably sold out. Unfortunately, few couldn’t predict how fast the Fallout 4 Limited Editions would sell out, or that Bethesda would have so few in supply....

There’s a Fallout 76 glitch that turns a power-armor using player into a terrifying diaper-wearing Slenderman. Well, terrifying or hilarious, depending on your love of Slenderman. And diapers. Fallout 76 is a bug-filled mess. We’ve sort of come to expect Bethesda games to release with certain issues, but we would’ve thought a game built on the same engine as Fallout 4 would at least have gotten some of the kinks out....

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was released four years ago to considerable fanfare as it seemingly ended the story of Nathan Drake. The game focused on the relationship between Nathan and his brother which had been previously unexplored and as a result, Uncharted 4 received critical acclaim. On top of the positive reviews, fans enjoyed the title and four years on many of the players have celebrated the legacy of the game and the series as a whole....

Devil May Cry 5 is a largely linear experience, with not much in the way of branching plot threads outside of being able to choose which character to play as in certain missions. However, the game actually has a secret ending that players can unlock, which will net them the “Well I’ll Be Damned” achievement/trophy in the process. To unlock the secret ending in Devil May Cry 5, players simply need to beat the demon Urizen during the Prologue mission....
