It’s been revealed that Microsoft is tentatively planning to hold a gaming event on March 23. According to Paul Thurrott, who has a reliable record for reporting Microsoft news, the event is themed “What’s New For Gaming.” Obviously, this is open to wide interpretation, and not many more details have been given, though it’s quite possible that we will hear some news regarding Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda, depending on how the lawsuit is going....

A new year means reinvigorated video game fans, or at least that seems to be the case for followers of Elden Ring. From Software’s in-development action-RPG remains one of the most highly anticipated games currently announced. Hungry for new information, fans wait with bated breath for popular events to arrive just in case Elden Ring will make an appearance. At the moment, that next event is the Taipei Game Show. Unfortunately, there’s bad news on that front....

The movie is going to be an underdog story about esports and feature some topics that are seen as controversial in the industry. Epic Games is continuing its “Free Fortnite” campaign amidst its ongoing legal battle with Apple. The developer’s latest PR move comes in the form of sending prominent players, streamers, and influencers themed Fortnite gear. Epic initially announced its lawsuit against the tech giant back in August, claiming the App Store to be “oppressive” in its 30 percent cut of app and in-app purchases. Since then, a legal battle has embroiled the two companies, with no apparent concessions from either party involved....

Earlier this week, The Division 2 players were disappointed to learn that the upcoming Operation Dark Hours raid will not support matchmaking, despite developer Massive Entertainment’s claim that all activities would offer the feature. For many, this meant that they simply would not be able to experience the Division 2 raid, while others are trying to come up with in-game solutions that might help them group up with players. Over on the Division 2 subreddit, players are discussing various ways to implement their own form of matchmaking in order to find a group for the Operation Dark Hours raid....

But when Whittaker’s iteration finished regenerating at the end of the special “The Power of the Doctor,” it wasn’t Gatwa’s face we saw, but that of Tennant, who played the Tenth Doctor....

For almost a year, gamers speculated that Grand Theft Auto 5 might make the leap from current-gen to next-gen shortly after launch in September. Dota 2 is easy to learn but tricky to master; however, some heroes are considered to be stronger than others from patch to patch.
