Later, they renamed themselves Bundle Stars and launched a digital distribution service where they’d sell digital product keys online. Today, they’re known as Fanatical, a digital games reseller that only provides officially licensed products (unlike some other unscrupulous third-party resellers). To celebrate 25 years in business, the UK-based key seller is holding a big sale....

Far Cry 3 brought the franchise to the forefront of Ubisoft’s IPs, establishing one of the best received villains of the early 2010s and leaving players with a master class in open-world design. While most are fully aware of Activision’s plan to release monthly DLC, in support for their Call of Duty Elite premium members, there’s a greater amount of secrecy surround Electronic Arts’ plan for Battlefield 3 DLC. Thankfully, Battlefield 3 Creative Direct Lars Gustavsson has come out not to drop details about future DLC, but at least to say they have a plan. In fact, DICE doesn’t just have a plan for Battlefield 3 DLC; they have completely restructured their studio in preparation for working on future endeavors like DLC....

Players will take control of the classic villains like Maleficent, Mother Gothel, and others as they must complete their own specific objectives before their opponents. Doom Eternal is a fresh take on a modern shooter with classic mechanics that harkens back to the days of the OG Doom as well as Doom 64. It’s a fantastic sequel that only seems to add mechanics rather than taking them away, though the endless amount of new buttons to press during a firefight has aggravated some fans. But, those same fans may be surprised to learn that the overall weapon count and variety are almost essentially the same as in Doom (2016)....

A Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot player has beaten Beerus at one HP in just 45 second, a feat which many probably thought wouldn’t be possible. Beerus acts as the boss of the game’s first DLC, and it was reported that developers fought level 250 Beerus 10 times and only managed to win once. Many criticized Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot for being too easy, as though the beginning of the game can prove to be somewhat challenging, players quickly ramp up in power and start easily defeating opponents....

Although tabletop RPGs used to always require players to meet up in-person and physically roll some dice, software like Skype, Discord, Roll20, and Dungeons & Dragons Beyond now make it much easier to game from a distance. Thanks to the help of some of these distance gaming tools, even a brain aneurysm couldn’t keep this D&D player from the table. During the recent PC Gaming Show, it was announced there will be a multiplayer beta test for the upcoming real-time strategy game DwarfHeim. Public registration is now open for the beta test, which is scheduled for the weekend of June 19-21, 2020. DwarfHeim’s Nordic developers Pineleaf Studio and publisher Merge Games have sent out a call for recruits interested in joining a clan for some Dwarven multiplayer brawling good fun....

Now that the rankings system is complete for UFC 4, EA has published their list of the ten best fighters in the game. Even though the star rating system in-game gives every fighter in the game more than a puncher’s chance of a competitive fight, it’s hard to argue that the top ten are the best fighters in the game to choose from right now. However, it must be kept in mind these ratings are true at the time of this writing, and EA has always done a fantastic job of keeping the fighters up to date....

Just as the Brotherhood of Steel is about to invade Fallout 76, Modiphius recently announced the addition of multiple miniature sets of The Enclave into Fallout: Wasteland Warfare. The Legend of Zelda games have been constant benchmarks for what video games can be capable of. The iconic Nintendo series began way back with the Nintendo Entertainment System, and continuously pushed the envelope on multiple occasions. The numerous adventures of Link as he travelled through Hyrule and beyond were always growing and expanding with each new console. Something that the Legend Of Zelda would always improve is the size of their maps....

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s first DLC, the Beerus Boss Battle Episode, finally arrived after months of waiting. Though some have gripes with the length of the DLC, most can agree that at the very least it has put the rest of the season pass into context. Odds are, the second Boss Battle Episode will be similar in scope and size, while the new story arc will be much larger. Additionally, it seems pretty certain that the DLCs will continue along the path of Dragon Ball Super, dispelling rumors about potential Dragon Ball: GT DLC and the like....

Oh, Evolve. Such a fantastic idea on paper, such a dang difficult one to do justice to in practise. The Japanese development company Experience Inc is porting Stranger of Sword City to the Nintendo Switch, and releasing a new title to go with it: Savoir of Sapphire Wings. Experience Inc. is known for a variety of turn-based RPG titles, like Demon Gaze and Operation Abyss. Given the popularity of the Switch, Experience Inc. is looking to re-release some of their older titles in an effort to capitalize on that popularity....
