Fallout 76’s time in the spotlight at Bethesda’s E3 2019 conference was brief, but they apparently didn’t need long to show that they meant business when it comes to bringing the wayward title back on track and into a brighter future. The changes that Bethesda’s bringing to the table for Fallout 76 look absolutely massive on paper, and they raise an equally massive list of pressing questions concerning how they’re all going to work....

Ask most players what the most memorable song from the Destiny soundtrack is, and they’ll probably answer with “Hope for the Future,” Paul McCartney’s power ballad that plays over the game’s end credits. When the “Hope for the Future” music video premiered last December, it took the Internet by storm, and for good reason: the image of the former Beatle crooning earnestly over images from Destiny - as a hologram, no less - is really, really funny....

Far Cry 2: New Dunia is a mod for Far Cry 2 that completely overhauls the game, making it more suitable for modern audiences. As one of the most divisive games in the franchise, modder dannyhl2 did a great job in tweaking the game’s systems and updating its graphics to help ease the complaints that many had about it while maintaining the features that diehard fans loved. Far Cry 2: New Dunia is available for download at Nexus Mods free of charge, and will provide players with an all new experience....

Earlier this year Game Rant visited Ubisoft Montreal for a presentation and preview of Far Cry 3’s single-player campaign and while multiplayer was off-topic we knew it was coming and that it would embrace the core concepts of the campaign’s design. With Ubisoft bringing Far Cry 3 to PAX East this weekend (we’ll be there!) so fans and press can get hands on with the game, the embargo has lifted on press sharing details and previews of Far Cry 3 multiplayer....

Ubisoft is thrusting the world of Far Cry into bold new territory, and that goes beyond the new post-apocalyptic setting of Far Cry New Dawn. To extend the longevity of the game, Ubisoft is introducing a leveling system to both enemies and outposts that will make it harder for players to expand from their home base, Prosperity. While Hope County undoubtedly features many challenges waiting to be beaten, it’s within Prosperity that players will find potentially the most exciting new addition to the Far Cry franchise: expeditions....

Bungie announces the first Iron Banner PvP event since the launch of the April Update will start next Tuesday, April 26, and says it should be a more rewarding experience. The Destiny April Update has been out for a little over a week and players have descended on the new Challenge of Elders mode getting new gear and racing towards the upped 335 Light level cap. Next week, Destiny fans will get their hands on the first Iron Banner since the update, with Bungie promising for better and more regular rewards....

To commemorate the 4th of July holiday today, a new trailer for the remake of Destroy All Humans! was released, and with it comes a look at the final area of the game. A remake of the cult-classic from the PS2 and original Xbox era was announced just over a year ago by THQ Nordic. Nordic is a newly formed publisher consisting mostly of properties owned by the original THQ before it filed for bankruptcy in December of 2012....

Destruction AllStars, which is free on PS Plus for all PlayStation 5 owners, may seem like a destruction derby on steroids, but underneath lies a game of skill and tactics. With 16 different drivers, all with their own signature cars, players will want to level up fast to access different customization options for their favorite characters. To do this, players will need the AllStar coins that are rewarded for leveling up....

Devil May Cry 5 was finally released earlier this month, ending an 11-year gap between the numbered titles in the franchise. A few weeks after the launch of the latest entry in the series, fans are now looking forward to the addition of the Bloody Palace DLC. Not too long ago, Capcom confirmed via a tweet that the Bloody Palace expansion is set to release for free on April 1, 2019....

Digimon Survive, the survival strategy role-playing game developed by Witchcraft and published by Bandai Namco, was last announced to launch in 2020. But more hints have been revealed that indicate that Digimon Survive may be getting delayed yet again. It wasn’t too long ago that Digimon Survive was still on track for a 2020 launch, but a recent piece of Twitter communication with fans from the producer on the title shows some possibly disappointing signs....

On September 30th, many of the big names in the American film industry cosigned a letter that was sent to Congress, asking House and Senate leaders to redirect unallocated funds from coronavirus aid programs to support American movie theaters. The letter, signed by a who’s-who of international directors as well as the heads of the Motion Picture Association, Directors’ Guild of America, and the National Association of Theater Owners (note: not the North Atlantic Treaty Organization), claims that without help, a full 100,000 American jobs in the theater industry could be lost....

One sequence though, slowed things down and created a much-needed moment of hushed intrigue amid all the noise and rushing about....

Some Doctor Who characters are intended for greatness; some are intended to be killed off at the end of their first episode. Writers have a lot more control over the second than the first. What remains true for all characters, is the tension that exists between their function in the story and their potential to affect it. Even a guard who simply runs into a room to get shot could have dragged the story in another direction, should they be allowed (this stock background character was the inspiration for Terry Pratchett’s City Watch novels)....

Johnny Depp has time and again proven his worth as an A-list celebrity at the box office. The question is no longer “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?” but more along the lines of who should cast Johnny Depp, the MCU or the DCEU? What type of character would he play? For an actor as versatile and prolific as Mr. Depp it would seem like he’d work anywhere. It’s a well-known fact among the Skyrim community that crime in the realm is taken seriously. Mobs of upstanding citizens will attack you over the slightest provocation until a guard comes along to offer a prison sentence, whether your Dragonborn is armed to the teeth or not. Even horses will bafflingly find a way to report your crimes to the hold if you happen to misbehave in front of them. Releasing earlier this year to rave reviews and widespread audience acclaim, Doom Eternal is easily already one of the biggest games of 2020, following up its now-revered 2016 predecessor in style. It’s even got a new DLC releasing soon, with players jumping into a series of new missions when The Ancient Gods releases on October 20. Until then, however, it seems Doom Eternal players on PC will be getting a new slice of unofficial content when renown Doom modder Proteh’s Horde Mode releases on September 13....

The arrival of WarnerMedia’s new streaming service, HBO Max, may have come with a little brand confusion here or there. But it’s hard to argue that the consolidation of all of Warner’s content onto one Internet hub hasn’t created opportunities for some HBO and/or Warner fans to branch outside their usual content comfort zone. Now Warner is set to expand that comfort zone a little more by making some episodes of HBO Max’s Doom Patrol available to all for free in advance of the show’s second season premiere....

Windranger is a ranged intelligence hero who, unlike the majority of intelligence heroes, relies on physical attack damage rather than magical damage. If you want to win with Windranger, you must play aggressively; she is not one of those farming heroes. She is strong throughout the game, and you must capitalize on her abilities. Aggressive gameplay may appear straightforward, and you may believe that engaging in combat with an enemy qualifies as aggressive gameplay, but this is incorrect....

The Game Awards were announced earlier this month, and with them came a new batch of teasers for upcoming titles. BioWare dropped a new teaser for Dragon Age 4, in which Varric promises that he’s got the player’s back against “demons, dragons, darkspawn, even the Dread Wolf.” Inquisition companion Solas was revealed to be the Dread Wolf at the end of the last game. Since then, the Dread Wolf has been hyped up as Dragon Age 4’s villain in the trailer, developer comments, and released concept art....
