EA drops a brief tease of aerial action ahead of the release of a trailer for the single-player campaign to be included in Battlefield 1, which is set to go live on September 27. We’ve already seen plenty of the multiplayer component of Battlefield 1, thanks in no small part to the well-populated open beta that ran from late August to early September. However, we’ve learned a relatively small amount about the single-player campaign that’s set to accompany the game’s multiplayer modes....

It’s been a good few days for gamers who enjoy the spooky side of life. First, The Halloween event for Apex Legends leaked early. Now, it appears that there will be a spooky new vampire car in the latest entry in the Dirt series, Dirt 5. The trailer for Dirt 5 starts off looking like a typical game release trailer. There’s pumping dance music, bright colors, and lots of fast-moving cars, and the trailer promises car and stage customization, new game modes, and social elements....

Princess Tiabeanie Mariabeanie De La Rochambeaux Grunkwitz (yes that’s her full name) is the main protagonist of Disenchantment. Bean is full of sass and is the exact opposite of what you would expect a princess to be. This leads her to be the source of a lot of the series’s most hilarious moments. With season three streaming now, fans are excited for more moments of hilarity to ensue. Bean has had plenty of witty one-liners and fans have plenty more to look forward to....

The Daleks are back. Indeed, it’s almost as if they never went away. The BBC has announced that Doctor Who’s 2022 New Year special is entitled ‘Eve of the Daleks’, and will see the Doctor once again spend January the 1st battling Skaro’s deadliest. Well, tradition is tradition. Both 2019’s ‘Resolution’ and 2021’s ‘Revolution of the Daleks’ put the Daleks front and centre on New Year’s Day, meaning this latest festive episode completes something of a trilogy for outgoing executive producer Chris Chibnall....

Silent Hill 2’s legacy has only grown in the 20 years since its release. The man behind some of the industry’s most compelling narratives in Dragon Age: Inquisition and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic has decided to leave BioWare. David Gaider is the writer who crafted some of the best stories in RPG history over the past two decades, and his work at BioWare has been a contributing factor in the studio’s continued success. Unfortunately, Gaider took to Twitter to announce today that he would be leaving his position at BioWare after seventeen years:...

It’s probably going to be a few years before Dragon Quest 12 comes out, but in the meantime, fans of the series will soon have more ways to enjoy its most recent mainline entry, courtesy of Dragon Quest 11 S: Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition, which got a new trailer today. Since last year, the latest iteration of the critically-acclaimed 2017 JRPG has been exclusive to the Nintendo Switch, but that will change on December 4....

Despite all official news regarding Elden Ring ceasing since its 2019 reveal trailer, the next FromSoftware game remains one of the most anticipated titles in the industry. There is no greater proof of this than the recent reaction of players to the tiniest bit of Elden Ring news, as players have freaked out over the small teaser. As part of a Twitter thread discussing Sekiro’s new Game of the Year content, FromSoftware made a minor mention of Elden Ring that has caused the internet to lose its collective mind....

Solo: A Star Wars Story didn’t quite get the reception Disney might have been hoping for, which effectively dashed all hope of a possible continuation. But a group of fans refused to let the plucky prequel story die, so they let an A.I. compose a new chapter in the story of Solo. Then they sat down to read it on stream for the world to enjoy, or at the very least, marvel at with morbid curiosity....

Update February 16, 2021 6PM EST: Recent comments have brought to light that Epic Games is not solely responsible for Senate Bill 2333. Instead, the The Coalition for App Fairness lead developer efforts in supporting the bill. Epic gave testimony with Lacee Anderson’s representation, but did not lead the charge. According to the New York Times, Epic Games is behind a proposed North Dakota bill that would bar app stores from taking a cut of sales....

The internet loves Lady Dimitrescu. They’ve loved her since she was first revealed in a Resident Evil Village trailer and that fervor hasn’t cooled down since the game’s release. There’s going to be plenty of Dimitrescu fan art, fan fiction, cosplay, and all manner of other internet worship devoted to her for years to come. She’s essentially the new Bowsette. I could see the argument for her being included among the best baddies in Resident Evil history along with Wesker, Nemesis, Jack Baker, and other similarly evil individuals who turn into gooey monsters with chainsaws for arms....

Riot Games’ internal culture has once again come under review as one of their executives is placed on leave for making a post on Facebook victim-blaming George Floyd. Ron Johnson, the global head of consumer products at Riot, posted on his personal Facebook that George Floyd’s murder “is a learning opportunity for people (and your kids) to teach that this type of criminal lifestyle never results in good things happening to you or those around you....

The release of Fallout 4’s Contraptions Workshop today leads to some players using the DLC’s assets to commit unsavory acts of torture against the game’s companions. No doubt once Fallout 4’s Contraptions Workshop DLC was revealed during Bethesda’s E3 2016 press conference last week, the gears started turning in the the post-apocalyptic RPG’s fans’ heads as they immediately began dreaming up wildly fantastical structures and devices to improve their settlements. However, now that the Contraptions Workshop has officially released today as the game’s first instance of DLC for the summer of 2016, some players are using the game’s add-on for much more nefarious purposes, such as torturing some of the open world title’s companions....

Gamers were pleasantly surprised when Bethesda announced Fallout 4 early last month, then showed off some gameplay during E3. However, while the announcement and few details were exciting, the developer still has plenty to reveal about the game, and with only a few months left until release, it looks like Bethesda is eager to provide new details soon. Those new Fallout 4 details will come in the form of a gameplay demo at this month’s QuakeCon event....

Fallout 76’s theme song, which is a cover of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” has received a lot of attention since the online-only multiplayer action RPG’s initial reveal. It’s also worth noting that all proceeds of the song, purchasable on iTunes, go directly to Habitat for Humanity, a global nonprofit focusing on affordable housing. Nevertheless, for those who prefer a different cover of the song, this latest Fallout 76 mod allows players to download a version of the song sang by Andy and Dwight from The Office....

The voxel expanse of Mojang’s sandbox game has received a new fan-made River Update, which pegs the lush landscapes included as the retreat to visit this summer.
