In a recent livestream event, Mark Teare and Matt Grandstaff from Bethesda walks fans through the opening portions of the upcoming Fallout 4 expansion, Nuka-World. Since launching in November of 2015, Fallout 4 has gone on to be a massive success for Bethesda, even setting record sales numbers at retail during launch week. To continue that momentum, the game has been the recipient of a ton of updates including both paid downloadable content and free updates like mod support....

It won’t be too much longer until Fallout 76 fans are able to dive into the West Virginian wastelands of Bethesda’s online-only multiplayer title, with the post-apocalyptic RPG set to become available in less than two days from now. While the majority of would-be Vault Dwellers who missed out of the game’s beta are simply ready to explore all that the base content has to offer upon release, Bethesda still wants to assure everyone that even more content is planned to come down the pike post-launch....

Publisher and developer Bethesda’s latest update for its free-to-play mobile game Fallout Shelter introduces several new rooms, optimization fixes, and much more. Jarod Nandin, known as The South Park Guy, has died due to COVID-19 complications. The World of Warcraft cosplayer revealed on Twitter on December 19 that he had gone to the ER with chest pains and was administered a COVID-19 test. Three days later he confirmed that he had tested positive but urged fans not to worry, saying, “I’ll make it.” His last two tweets regarding his condition were dated December 27 and 28, and mentioned that he was struggling with breathing issues....

The Destiny community has returned in numbers to Bungie’s shared world shooter since the April Update hit earlier this month. The Light level has been raised giving players a new goal to shoot for, the grind for gear feels better than ever, and the revamped Challenge of the Elders is a new weekly activity to check off the list....

It’s been over a month since the release of Destruction AllStars, and developer Lucid Games has just revealed the plans for rest of the year. The announcement includes information on the first of three seasons, a battle pass, a four-team based competitive mode, and many other teases of what to expect in the coming months. The brawler racing game had just received a new patch adding new playlists, skins, and addressing several reported issues....

After the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic caused the cancellation of major conventions, several developers began planning out online alternatives. With E3 out of the picture, both major and independent developers and publishers announced the compilation of their individual showcases in IGN’s Summer of Gaming. Now, one of IGN’s partners, Devolver Digital has announced the broadcast date for its event, and is teasing what viewers can expect on Twitter. According to the announcement, the Devolver Direct is coming to Twitch and Steam on July 11, 2020, at 12 PM, Pacific Standard Time....

After a fair amount of tumult, Red Candle Games’ controversial psychological horror game Devotion is finally back on sale on the studio’s online store. Hooray! The Taiwanese indie studio has faced all kinds of uphill battles with this one, after Devotion got delisted from Steam a few days after its original release in 2019, and GOG decided it would also duck out of listing the game on its platform at the end of last year....

With Jurassic World set to hit cinemas next year, it seems that dinosaurs are about to come back in a big way — and Just Cause developers Avalanche Studios are banking on that wave of popularity hitting video games with their new dino hunting sim theHunter: Primal. First announced back in November, the game has now hit Steam Early Access ahead of a full release set for 2015. Co-developed by Avalanche and Expansive Worlds, Primal builds on the solid foundation of theHunter, a popular free-to-play hunting title that has been quite popular since its release in 2009....

This past week Electronic Arts created another controversy by adding intrusive advertisements to EA Sports UFC 4. Frustrations from fans were two-fold. First, fans simply didn’t like that EA put more advertisements into UFC 4. Second, fans found it sketchy that EA added these advertisements well after launch, at a point where professional reviews would be unlikely to note the advertisements. EA has now issued a statement apologizing for introducing the ads and have disabled them from the game....

It hasn’t been a fun year for Electronic Arts. Things kicked off with the terrible launch of SimCity, which suffered from crippling server issues and other bugs and left many customers unable to play the game due to the always-online DRM, and EA executives were recently forced to apologize once more when both Battlefield 4 and NBA Live 14 stumbled into the new generation with a host of issues and - in NBA Live 14’s case - to a chorus of boos from critics and gamers alike....

There’s nothing like a freebie when you’re desperately trying to upgrade your ship to vaguely resemble Starship One. Enter Frontier Developments, who have announced that the Elite Dangerous expansion Horizons will merge with the core game on October 27. The space simulator received its first paid expansion in 2015 with Horizons, and now owners of the base game will be able to acquire the expansion free of charge. The developers also stated that players who had previously purchased the expansion would receive a unique skin that can be used to give any in-game ship a fresh look....
