Zynga has announced that it will be shutting down FarmVille at the end of this year. The popular Facebook game will continue to be playable until December 31st, 2020. In-app purchases will continue to be available up until November 17. In-game activities will also be available to mark the occasion. Zynga’s decision is a result of Adobe’s own move to stop distributing and updating Flash Player for all web browsers and Facebook consequently planning to end support for all Flash games....

Although Bungie’s latest PvP update has done a lot to change the meta in Destiny’s Crucible, the developer admits there are still places it can improve. This week, Bungie outlined even more changes that are coming to Destiny, including a nerf to troublesome items like Sidearms and the Memory of Skorri artifact. With the way that Bungie retooled special ammo in the PvP update for Destiny, it came as no surprise to the developer that sidearms rose to the top of the special weapon class food chain....

Destruction AllStars has hit the PlayStation Store, giving all Plus Members the chance to download it for free until April 6. This destruction derby features a handful of modes on release, each with its own flair and objectives. While most modes are multiplayer, there is one focused on single-player play: The Challenge Series. But what is the Challenge Series? This mode serves as a gateway for players after completing the tutorial, pitting them against more challenging AI with increasingly difficult objectives....

After recording an episode of his Sirius XM radio show, Stern and his co-host Robin Quivers talk about summer plans, unaware that their mics were still going. Under the sound of ads and promotional music, listeners caught Stern referring to a fan-favorite character. In a clip circulating on Twitter, Stern is griping about his upcoming schedule when Robin asks if he’ll be working over the summer....

After strong backlash from fans, developer id Software is undoing most of the changes it made to DOOM Eternal with the latest game update. Specifically, id is stripping out the Denuvo Anti-Cheat Software that it put in the game and which many players had a problem with once it arrived. At its core, DOOM Eternal players felt like Denuvo Anti-Cheat was superfluous for a game whose core content is a single-player, offline campaign....

Guy “Dr Disrespect” Beahm is in hot water following his “In Real Life” (IRL) stream today, to the extent that his Twitch account has been suspended for violating Twitch’s terms of service, likely in regards to violating California’s “Invasion of Privacy” law. The stream in question was, surprisingly, actually Dr Disrespect’s first-ever IRL stream, which saw him making the rounds at E3 2019 and checking out what the event and its booths had to offer....

Solas, the Dread Wolf, will most likely be the antagonist in BioWare’s upcoming Dragon Age 4. Though Solas was a companion in Inquisition, his true identity as “Fen’Harel” was only revealed late in the game, leaving some fans with questions about his true story. Solas is one of the oldest characters in Dragon Age. Using everything known about the character and the game’s timeline so far, it is possible to tell just how old Solas must be at a minimum by the events of Dragon Age 4....

Leaked by @DbsHype, Golden Frieza maintains his classic look from the series with his golden form making the villain stronger, faster, and more of a threat to the Z-fighters as they fight to defend Earth once more....

That appears to be the reasoning at Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros., with the former breaking the news on Twitter that Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two is officially greenlit and already has an October 2023 release date! The news comes after Villeneuve’s first Dune picture (or “Dune: Part One” as the title card sneakily revealed in the finished film) became WB’s biggest opening weekend since the COVID-19 pandemic began, grossing $41 million in its first three days....

As the debut of director Denis Villeneuve’s lavish rendition of Dune looms closer, tension over the imminent arrival of this crucial career waypoint has to evoke a bit of déjà vu. That’s because it’s essentially where the French-Canadian filmmaker found himself around this time in 2017 upon the arrival of his previous attempt at a sacred franchise offering, Blade Runner 2049, which ultimately became a box office boondoggle. This time around, he’d prefer to avoid repeating mistakes that he now implies compromised his artistic future....

With past successful titles such as Fe, Unravel, and A Way Out, EA Originals looks to continue its success with new games going forward. A new campaign and chapter for Elder Scrolls Online was announced today by Bethesda Softworks, set to come out in 2021. The Elder Scrolls Online campaign’s story will be about the destruction of Tamriel and the Gates of Oblivion. Elder Scrolls Online has been through many new expansions and changes since its launch in 2014. This newest chapter in ESO will explore what looks like massive trouble for the citizens of Tamriel, digging deeper into the Gates of Oblivion and what might be the return of Mehrunes Dagon....

Wonders never cease - Factorio has officially left its Early Access, finally getting its Version 1.0 after four years. This monumental event happened yesterday, August 14th, and was accompanied by this neat little Version 1.0 launch trailer. It really puts the launch in launch trailer, what with the whole launching rocket thing. Much like a goal in Factorio is to build up something great until you can launch an actual rocket into space, the goal of developers Wube Software has been to build and polish a truly great game to launch out of Early Access (I’m really proud of that analogy)....

Fallout is well known for its rich universe, the many factions that wander the wasteland looking for a fight, and its incredible aesthetic. And yet, there are some parts of the Fallout canon that have been forced to stay in the vault forever. Given the scope and size of the more recent Fallout games, it’s perhaps no surprise that a lot of content has been cut from the games. What may come as a surprise, however, is that this cut content even includes whole questlines offering a different view of the games’ worlds....
