Fallout 4’s director, Todd Howard, offers gaming fans a tease about the upcoming expansion packs for Bethesda’s recently released post-apocalyptic RPG. While speaking during a red carpet interview before celebrating the launch of Fallout 4, Todd Howard announced that Bethesda will shape the open world title’s Season Pass and DLC using fan feedback. Due to the game just recently being made available, Howard and his company want players to explore the Commonwealth as much as humanly possible and share their take on the base material before developers make any concrete decisions about what gets included with Fallout 4’s add-on content....

It’s 1PM Pacific and if you’re a hardcore Fallout 4 fan you have already added your Steam product code to your library and began pre-loading. Earlier this AM (about 9 hours ago in UK time), digital retailer Green Man Gaming begin sending out keys for Fallout 4 in anticipation of the pre-load going live later today. If you still don’t have your key, make sure you check your spam folder in your email, or simply log into your account and click on the “Games” tab, then “Steam Games” section and you’ll see your key....

Diablo 3 is one of the biggest comeback stories in gaming. What started with an incredibly rocky launch and a poorly-implemented auction house system was quickly adapted into a title worthy of the iconic Diablo name, and Blizzard has since salvaged what could’ve been a huge disappointment into a consistently popular title that still attracts new fans today. Diablo 3 has continued its torrid pace of improvement into the game’s newest expansion as well, as The Rise of the Necromancer DLC has been well-received....

After already getting their fill of Operation Metro during the Battlefield 3 open beta gamers might be looking towards the other eight maps that will ship with the highly anticipated FPS. While DICE hasn’t released a complete detailed look at the Battlefield 3 multiplayer maps, they have given gamers a closer view of four (three new and one old) of them. Each has their own appeal, as well as showcasing DICE’s proclivity for designing multi-layered maps, but gamers will certainly find their favorites without even having set a foot on them....

Digimon has built a cult following over the last few years, largely based on the popularity of the multiple Digimon anime series and movies. Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna, the latest film in the franchise, was supposed get a limited theater release this March. However, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the release was canceled. With that, and the shiny new Disney+ revenue flowing in, the word on the street is that Doctor Who is about to try to build its own MCU. Although as true fans know, really it’s reclaiming the crown after the MCU tried to build its own Whoniverse....

Essentially going back to the grandfather of all “there’s someone in the house” stories, Don’t Breathe takes the concept of Audrey Hepburn being a blind woman locked in with several thieves in Wait Until Dark (1967) and flips it to be about several relatively sympathetic thieves locked in the house with a blind man—one who lost his sight while serving in the U.S. Special Forces. And once he seals the only window that didn’t have bars on it, there’s no way out and there’s no stopping the movie’s giddiness for high adrenaline sequences of almost complete silence....

Many modern role-playing games have begun to include options to engage in a romantic relationship with some of the game’s characters. The Dragon Age series, like BioWare’s other epic Mass Effect, is one of these games. No matter what type of character you play there will be a romance option. Female characters have more romance options with six; male characters have five romance options (four without the Trespasser expansion). Most of these romances are initiated by occasional flirting and winning the approval of your choice in partner....

Today, Bandai Namco and Arc System Works released a brand new trailer for Dragon Ball FighterZ that featured Beerus, the God of Destruction, absolutely tearing into the competition, which sent fans of the DBZ franchise into a frenzy in anticipation over the game’s forthcoming open beta. Now, in order to let players prepare for the trial period, the publisher and developer have made the beta client available for download on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One....

The heydey of ambition for MMORPGs has come and gone, and there are fewer massive multiplayer projects now. While there are still huge MMORPGs out there, mostly in the fantasy genre, there are fewer wildly exciting ideas for new MMORPGs these days. All of that may change with the release of Dual Universe. Dual Universe will be an MMORPG cut from a different cloth than its predecessors. Dual Universe promises a massive universe of planets to explore, along with a comprehensive, highly detailed building system....

Character death: it’s no overstatement to say that it is perhaps the most sensitive topic in Dungeons And Dragons. In the game’s older and oldest editions, character death was a common occurrence. Rather than telling a bold overarching story, the game back then was more of a combat survival looter. Streaming was the hottest buzz word at this year’s E3. It seemed like every major game company or developer mentioned streaming in some capacity, whether it was announcing streaming services for their catalog of games or finding a way to stream games to any device you could think of. However, it’s Microsoft that may have the advantage when it comes to entering the streaming market, considering its recent move away from relying entirely on home consoles....

If the word “Sim” in front of a word doesn’t make you think of anything, chances are you didn’t grow up in the ’90s. The developer of the Sim franchise, Maxis, is most fabled for the huge successes of SimCity and The Sims, but also created games covering every type of gameplay imaginable (SimFarm, SimAnt, SimTunes, SimGolf etc). Having been owned by Electronic Arts since 1997, the studio hasn’t tried to branch anywhere else with the Sim title after their acquisition - but that may change in the coming months....

In the Absence of EA’s Fight Night series are the UFC games by the same studio. Both titles represent a strategic element to the fighting genre where one is expected to have matches that have three and five-minute rounds in Fight Night and UFC 4 respectively. However, unlike Fight Night which represents boxing, the UFC series represents mixed martial arts. Just like the real sport, one is expected to be well-versed in all aspects of the game....

As expected, EA Sports took the stage at Microsoft’s Xbox One reveal event to showcase a few of their in-development next-gen sports games. Not only that, the publisher unveiled their new engine, Ignite, which will presumably fuel every EA Sports game going forward. More specifically, though, EA Sports highlighted four upcoming titles that will use Ignite: FIFA 14, NBA Live 14, EA Sports UFC, and Madden NFL 25. In addition to a brief mention of these titles, EA Sports also debuted a new trailer (seen above) which showcased what these next-gen sports games will look like....

Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson shared during an earnings call today that he’s very pleased with Mass Effect: Andromeda, despite the mixed reviews the game received. Wilson also revealed that he would have liked reviews to have been better, but was happy BioWare created a title that many gamers enjoyed and liked. Wilson described the passion both he and the development team have for Mass Effect: Andromeda, and elaborated on how many players found exactly what they wanted in the game....

Echoes of Aeons is a title that mobile gamers have been patiently waiting for over the past 8 years. The developer — Alchimia Studios — has billed it as a “retro-modern 2D action RPG,” and it aims to combine the best aspects of early RPG games with the modern conveniences we’ve come to know and love. The biggest departure from old-school RPGs is in the combat system, which takes place in real-time and is surprisingly hectic....

Epic and Apple are currently locked in a brutal legal struggle about the future of mobile gaming. Epic argues that Apple’s near-monopoly status is being used to fleece both users and developers alike, taking a massive 30% of all sales made on the App Store. Apple, for their part, countered that Epic is in breach of contract for updating Fornite to bypass the App Store altogether whenever a user makes a purchase, and also that Epic is arguing in bad faith saying that this is anything but an argument over money....
