The original Dragon Quest suffered from the fact that it only had one character. This meant that the hero was responsible for being the melee fighter, the buffer/debuffer, and the healer. If he died, then it was back to the nearest church to start over....

During the EA Play event, Respawn Entertainment CEO and co-founder Vince Zempella reveals the first gameplay trailer for Titanfall 2 multiplayer. While E3 2016 doesn’t officially get under way until tomorrow, EA decided to switch things up this year by introducing a new event called EA Play. EA has been fined €10 Million ($11,646,520.00 USD) in a court ruling against the company by a Holland District Court stating the EA has violated the Vetting and Gaming Act in Holland. It has also being reported that EA was denied in the request by the company to keep the details of the fines from being disclosed to the public. Currently EA is in the process of appealing the the fines, which the company has six weeks to do....

EA has decisively responded to widespread criticism of Star Wars: Battlefront 2’s loot boxes and premium in-game purchases by completely removing them from the game tonight. EA DICE General Manager Oskar Gabrielson issued a formal statement and apology announcing that, for the time being, all Star Wars: Battlefront 2 progression will be earned through gameplay. Gabrielson’s cited causes for removing Battlefront 2’s premium options include perceived gameplay imbalance and the controversy overshadowing the game itself:...

Elder Scrolls Online has recently announced its new upcoming expansion, Gates of Oblivion. The cinematic trailer shows a returning character seeing a vision of the plane of Oblivion rules over by Mehrunes Dagon, Daedric Prince of Destruction. The initial story of Elder Scrolls Online also dealt with a Daedric Prince and his plane of Oblivion, with Molag Bal and the realm of Cold Harbor attempting to invade Tamriel. Despite this, Elder Scrolls Online: Gates of Oblivion needs to answer one big question during the world reveal event....

EVE Online is currently in the midst of a record-breaking war. So record-breaking, in fact, that it broke two records in a single day. Those records came when over 8,000 players fought for control of a region called Fury at FWST-8, in an intense 14-hour long battle - the records broken were for Biggest PvP Multiplayer Battle, and Most Concurrent Players in a PvP Multiplayer Battle, with 6,557 EVE players there at the peak....

Resident Evil Village was first revealed on June 11th, 2020, but had gone relatively quiet since then. Aside from a ransomware attack on Capcom that essentially leaked the entire game, there has not been much official information since its initial reveal. There have also been rumors circulating from insiders familiar with the project about a VR version, a multiplayer mode, and even a full cancelation of Resident Evil Village’s last-gen versions....

Now that the Fall Guys 2 Release Date has been revealed, the developers at Mediatonic are hoping to build excitement heading into that all-important launch. With exactly two months left until the release of Fallout 4, developer Bethesda is likely putting the finishing touches on its upcoming marketing plan. Bethesda takes to Twitter to announce that Fallout 4’s upcoming Survival mode is coming to PC users via Steam for its beta test sometime next week. Bethesda announced the news late yesterday, and while the studio did not provide a specific release time for Survival mode, at least now we know that Vault Dwellers playing Fallout 4 on the PC will have a chance to report back to the rest of the gaming world within a week or so....

Video game developer Bethesda Softworks officially releases Update 1.7 for its post-apocalyptic RPG, Fallout 4, on the title’s PC and Xbox One platforms. With Fallout 4’s Nuka World DLC releasing on August 30, Bethesda has decided to go ahead and release a brand new patch in Update 1.7 that adds support for the forthcoming expansion, with it also bringing about a new art type for stores in the action-RPG’s Workshop settlements....

A recent datamine for Fallout 76 has hinted that Washington D.C. might be the first location for the upcoming expedition feature. A post on the game’s Reddit shows that leaker eckserah has found test maps in the game’s files that show off Washington D.C., which Fallout fans will know as the setting of Fallout 3. The images show off the Washington Monument and the Dupont Circle, which makes it pretty hard to mistake for anything else....
