From X-COM creator Julian Gallop, Phoenix Point combines tactical turn-based combat with a Lovecraft inspired horror aesthetic. It was supposed to release simultaneously on the Epic Game Store, Microsoft Store, and Xbox Game Pass. However, the game was mysteriously absent from Game Pass at launch. Snapshot Games later announced it was delaying the Xbox version indefinitely. While Phoenix Point came to Stadia this January, there has been no word from the developer on the Xbox release....

Outriders, the upcoming looter-shooter RPG from People Can Fly, is only two months away from release. There are four classes in the game for players to choose from, each with its own playstyle and strengths depending on the player and their choices. Last week has been Armor Week on the Outriders’ Twitter, showing off four of the game’s Legendary sets. No RPG character is complete without some shiny armor, preferably stocked full of overpowered skill mods....

This Evil review contains spoilers. Evil Season 3 Episode 2 David is being recruited by a group called “the Entity,” an espionage unit within the Catholic church. It doesn’t exist, of course, as LeConte says, but even so, it is more interesting than the daily drudgework of ministering to the faithful. The Entity also adds conspiratorial texture to the series, and any further intrigue intruding on the series is a welcome addition....

Fairy Tail has launched with an expensive library of DLC, racking up to almost $180 worth of content, a lot of which is fanservice-laden outfits for the cast of the game. Fairy Tail is a turn-based JRPG adaptation of the anime/manga series of the same name. It follows the members of the titular mage guild, as they complete quests and try to uncover the secret of why the dragons disappeared years ago....

With the game’s medieval-themed second season coming to a close soon, Fall Guys is beginning to tease all the new additions coming to Season 3. With new courses and a winter theme, it seems Fall Guys is ready to put its players through their paces with some major changes this time around, especially with Mediatonic teasing it will reveal some new info at The Game Awards. One of the biggest new additions will be fresh skins, with Season 3 already debuting penguin and snowman costumes upon being announced last month....

The controversial game Fallout 76 vastly expanded on the number of weapons that could be looted throughout the world in comparison to previous Fallout games. Because of this large selection of deadly toys, some weapons were bound to be weaker than others and don’t see much use by Fallout 76 players. With weapons like a Walking Cane and Pool Cue it’s no surprise either! This list will show players 10 terrible weapons that they shouldn’t be taking into battle unless they’re trying to squish a radroach....

Fallout 76 has received six major updates since its release in 2018. The latest update, Steel Dawn, brings The Brotherhood of Steel to the post-apocalyptic Appalachia. So much was packed into this update and players will find an entirely new story to explore. With the update launching a week early, players were excited to jump into the game and see what’s new. There are certain things to be excited about in the game, but fans will also notice this particular dawn isn’t all that bright....

To celebrate when the bombs fell and the end of the world in the franchise’s lore, Bethesda is allowing players to play Fallout 76 for free until October 26. During this week, players can grab a number of different sales in and out of Fallout 76. On October 23, the world in the Fallout series ended due to the bombs being dropped. In commemoration of the end of the world, Bethesda is celebrating by making Fallout 76 free to play until October 26....

An unsubstantiated rumor regarding Fallout 76 going free-to-play has been refuted by Bethesda, with the publisher responding to an aggressive message on Twitter. Bethesda, which hasn’t otherwise issued a public statement on the issue, responded to the tweet saying, “There is no truth to this rumor.” It’s a short and simple response that is unfortunately unlikely to slow down speculation regarding Fallout 76’s future. The rumor itself began via a dubious source....

In response to a number of requests by encumbered Vault Dwellers, Fallout 76 developer Bethesda is launching its highly-anticipated “Quality-of-Life Update” on January 26. Players can expect to hoard a lot more items with expanded storage space, as well as a number of additional improvements that will make post-apocalyptic adventuring easier. In addition to announcing Fallout 76’s Season 3, “Scribe of Avalon,” in early December, Bethesda promised to address a number of fan concerns with a patch sometime in January....

If you were to make a list of the best game universes of all time, the world of Fallout would be right there at the top. Sure, the setting can be a little depressing - what with the whole post-nuclear-apocalypse and all - but what makes Fallout’s world so compelling isn’t the fact that the world has ended and is now filled with desperate people trying to rise from the ashes....

Released on iOS and Android during summer 2015 in an effort to tide Fallout fans over until the release of Fallout 4, mobile-spin off Fallout Shelter was one of the runaway hits of the year. The game tasks players with overseeing their very own vault, including tackling threats (including fierce hordes of rad roaches), sending dwellers out on adventures and ensuring that they have enough resources to survive. Since the initial launch on mobile, Fallout Shelter has also been released on PC and Xbox One (in 2016 and 2017, respectively)....

Ubisoft’s insanity-fueled shooter franchise has had its fair share of unique villains and stories, with every entry hosting a new setting and an even crazier new villain. However, it’s clear many things are changing with Far Cry 6, which is introducing a ton of new features and themes the series has never seen previously. It was clear with Far Cry 5 and New Dawn that the series was starting to feel a bit rote in its gameplay and narrative approach....

When I was told that Far Cry 6 “doesn’t want to make a political statement” I was somewhat perplexed, unable to detach my train of thought from the inherently political themes and characters being explored in the upcoming shooter. Taking place in a fictional country heavily inspired by Cuba and the country’s own history with revolution, Ubisoft’s latest blockbuster aims to explore the rise of a tyrannical dictator who willingly inflicts fascism, slavery, and martial law upon his people without a second thought....

Although Fate/Grand Order players recently finished the Servant Summer Festival and are currently celebrating 11 million downloads in-game, the end of August brings the start of one more event. Beginning today, the Fate/Accel Zero Order Lap 2 Rerun can be played from August 31st until September 13th. Fate/Accel Zero Order is a collaborative event with Fate/Zero, the prequel to Fate/Stay Night which set up many important plot points especially in the Heaven’s Feel route....

Fate/Grand Order players have been busy in July with FGO’s 3rd anniversary and just finishing the Summer 2 rerun a day ago. But there’s no breaks as August begins since the Summer 3 event kicks off tomorrow. From August 3rd to August 22nd, masters and their servants are going on a trip to Hawaii for the Servant Summer Festival. While Summer 1 was a stranded island adventure and Summer 2 referenced JoJo’s Steel Ball Run, Summer 3 is heavily influenced by Comiket, the biggest fan convention in the world where groups come together to sell self-published comics about their favorite manga or anime....

Destiny 2: Beyond Light released in November, with content containing new powers, enemies, raids, and more for players to enjoy. This week has seen the release of the Hawkmoon exotic weapon, next-generation upgrades, and the reveal of the new Dawning event coming next week. With the year closing out, Destiny 2 players will be able to enjoy the seasonal Dawning event this December. Destiny has seasonal events to close out particular parts of the year, and the Dawning will close out 2020....

Diablo 4 exists and has been shown to employees working at Blizzard Versaille, according to a new report. Things are not looking great for Blizzard. Several high-profile departures confirm that morale is still quite low at the beleaguered game developer still struggling under the weight of laying off 30% of its staff. Meanwhile, Activision CEO Bobby Kotick is doing just fine with his pay bonus, which certainly didn’t come on the backs of working Blizzard employees (at least right up until he fired ‘em)....
