Sony PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller is getting developers excited for a level of immersion we couldn’t experience in previous controllers. Tequila Works, the developers behind 2017’s RIME and the 2019 Stadia exclusive GYLT, is particularly interested in the possibilities of the new controller. Speaking with Merstation, the head of the Spanish studio, Raúl Rubio, compared the differences between the current generation of consoles and the next-gen. While he did mention the power between generations is going to be big, he couldn’t help but mention how the DualSense will be a game-changer....

In the age of COVID-19, we don’t know if Doom Eternal is the game we need right now. Yes, it’s entertaining many people in the age of social isolation, so that’s good. But at the same time, it’s depicting a literal Hell on Earth! So, you know, not exactly the message we want to be spreading right now… That said, Doom Eternal seems to be doing well. It’s selling well (100,000 concurrent players at launch), and most people seem to enjoy it....

Patch 7.28 brings the Mistwoods Update to Dota 2, and along with it a brand new hero. Hoodwink is a red squirrel armed with a huge crossbow and the ability to use acorns to set deadly traps or instantly grow a tree, which all seems very on-brand. A ranged attacker, Hoodwink’s kit makes her the ideal assassin, able to chase down fleeing enemies or simply snipe them from halfway across the map....

BioWare is relying on Dragon Age 4 to help with its reputation on the upcoming generation of consoles. After difficulties with Mass Effect: Andromeda and the critical, commercial failure of Anthem, the game will need to make some changes from previous installments if it’s going to feel fresh and attract new players on the new platforms. Drive to Survive is set to return to our screens on Friday 24 February 2023. As Command and Conquer’s 25th anniversary approaches, Electronic Arts is celebrating the RTS series with a remastered series collection. However, EA announced that it will also reward its community with another massive release. In a Reddit post, the developer announced that it would also release the source code for two Command and Conquer games for fans. EA Producer Jim Vessella addressed fans of the franchise in his Reddit update. According to the post, EA is releasing the source code for the original C&C game and its sequel Red Alert....

Since the launch of Fall Guys last week on Steam and PS4, players have speculated what in-game collaborations the battle royale could see. The Fallout series is known for its list of achievements and Fallout 4 is no exception. Last night’s announcement of Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition was a nice treat for fans of Capcom’s rambunctious series. Diablo 2 Resurrected was an announcement many years in the making, with fans wondering when a remake would come to fruition long before the game was officially revealed.
