During the Sony E3 Press Conference, a lengthy gameplay demo reveals the newest God of War game seemingly confirming the Norse mythology setting as well. Not looking to be overshadowed by the earlier press conferences done by Microsoft and Ubisoft, Sony decided to go big with its presser this year, bringing in Bear McCreary to lead an orchestra to enhance certain gameplay demos. It’s only fitting then that one of Sony’s biggest IPs led off the show, confirming the recent rumors that the next God of War indeed takes place within the cold mountains of Scandinavia....

If you’re one of the many people who dislike the character designs in Avengers A-Day, we might well have some good news for you. The first trailer for Square Enix’s take on the Avengers was revealed at E3 earlier this week. The game, called Avengers A-Day, features the core group of heroes we have become incredibly familiar with thanks to the MCU. However, for some fans, therein lies the problem. It seems that many gamers were expecting something much closer to their Hollywood counterparts when it came to character design....

Without any sort of marketing, Electronic Arts released Battlefield 3: Aftershock on iTunes last month, a free-to-play multiplayer shooter sponsored by the Act of Valor film. I downloaded the app, despite it’s at-the-time two-out-of-five rating but it simply didn’t work. It wouldn’t connect and since it’s only multiplayer, it was unusable. Evidently, a lot of other uses felt the same and EA took Battlefield 3: Aftershock down off of iTunes shortly thereafter, issuing a statement about quality control....

Skate 4 was not announced during EA’s E3 2017 press conference yesterday, much to fans’ disappointment. Rumors and speculation about the game’s development have been growing ever since an EA community manager tweeted out a Skate 4 hashtag earlier this year. On social media, fans have made it pretty clear that they are heartbroken that EA didn’t make any mention of Skate 4 during its presser. After the community manager’s Twitter tease, EA stated that Skate 4 is not in development, but many still had their fingers crossed....

Bungie Game Director Chris Barrett takes to Twitter to inform Destiny fans that upcoming expansion Rise of Iron will bring back shaders to class armor. Destiny’s upcoming Rise of Iron expansion is already generating some hype amongst the game’s player base, thanks to upcoming features like a new strike, multiplayer mode and raid. The new story in particular, focused around the Lords of Iron, promises to make this expansion Destiny’s biggest yet....

Contrary to prior reports of the next Watch Dogs game featuring a female protagonist, the upcoming title, which has since been confirmed as Watch Dogs Legion, will let you play as just about anyone. So the previous rumors aren’t completely false, you will be able to play as a woman if you want to; you just won’t be restricted to one in particular. The game, set in a post-Brexit London, won’t feature a main character and players will be able to recruit and control any of the thousands of characters therein....
