Many burning questions were answered last week as Bungie finally pulled the curtains back on its last major update, Age of Triumph. In its latest streaming event, fans were introduced to the massively large Age of Triumph record book, essentially giving players 13 pages of things to do before the book closes for good on Destiny. For many however, the more exciting aspect is that every single raid is being refreshed and updated as well bringing them in line with the most recent Wrath of the Machine raid....

Bungie announces when they will be giving fans another glimpse of Destiny’s major fall expansion, Rise of Iron, announcing a reveal stream just around the corner. Destiny fans are hungry for any more information about the game’s next major expansion, slated for a release this fall. Destiny: Rise of Iron will expand the game and add content including a new raid, story, multiplayer maps and mode, and a new Patrol space to explore....

Last year saw the emergence of several remakes of popular games, including Final Fantasy 7, Mafia, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, and SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom. One of the biggest of these reimaginings was Destroy All Humans, with the iconic alien-action game returning to screens with a significant facelift, smoother controls, and the addition of free roam for each map. The remake is currently included in Steam’s Midweek Madness promotion, being reduced by 50% for PC players....

Various members of the Justice League have been present within games in one form or another, such as cameo appearances or fully-fledged titles (Batman: Arkham City). However, a current-gen title based solely on the Justice League has never surfaced. Still, a game based on a canned movie that was based on the comic-books-turned-TV-series was indeed in production and details, as well as screenshots for the canceled title has come to light....

After a lengthy Diablo 3 PTR extension, Blizzard has announced that Season 22 will formally begin on November 20 with a brand-new theme, season conquests, and both cosmetic and journey rewards. Players have been eagerly awaiting the announcement since early October when Blizzard first said that PTR 2.6.10 needed to be extended because of ongoing latency and login issues. During this extended testing, Blizzard looked to fix bugs relating to both the Shadow Clones and fourth slot added to Kanai’s cube, which are both going to be integral parts to the start of the new season....

After becoming the multiplayer phenomenon of the summer, Fall Guys is back in the headlines, not because of an upcoming drop of seasonal content or a new set of cross-promotional skins. Epic Games, the studio behind battle royale behemoth Fortnite as well as the Unreal Engine and the Epic Games Store, has acquired Fall Guys developer Mediatonic. This of course means that Mediatonic will now have access to all of the resources and tools under the Epic umbrella....

When Microsoft unveiled gameplay for Halo: Infinite at its Xbox Series X showcase earlier this month, the biggest takeaway from fans was evident through a flood of memes about Halo: Infinite’s graphics. That palpable disappointment with what many regard as an underwhelming look at a next-generation system seller has kept up since Thursday’s event, to the point that now corporations like Domino’s Pizza are capitalizing on the trend. Earlier today, the Twitter account for the Domino’s Pizza UK branch posted an image questioning the potential of next-generation graphics by pixelating half a pizza, with very pointed text using the Halo: Infinite hashtag that says, “Don’t worry Chief, Domino’s always delivers....

With Doom Eternal’s recent release, many fans have been enjoying the pulse-pounding action that id Software has delivered again. The game has made many changes to Doom’s DNA, which has lead to many fans debating which changes are good and bad. Compared to Doom 2016, Doom Eternal is an entirely different beast, focusing on more strategic engagements and frantic gunfights. While Doom 2016 acknowledged common FPS trends like cutscenes and threw them to the side—sometimes literally—Doom Eternal tries its own spin on various trends....

Beat the Bomb, a Brooklyn-based games company, recently released a game called Fauci’s Revenge that allows players to shoot at coronavirus. This comes as good news in the video games industry, which has been hit hard by the virus. The game is a vertically scrolling shooter that puts players in the role of Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases....

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s base game was widely received in a positive light, but even fans of the title are able to recognize its flaws. One of the major complaints about the game was the way it introduced and then immediately sidelined certain characters, with the most grievous examples of this being Android 21 and Bonyu. Now that Golden Frieza and the events of Resurrection F might be adapted as a boss battle episode for DLC 2, there’s a chance that Bonyu could make her first actually legitimate appearance in the game, giving Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2 a chance to develop her as a character....

When racing sim Driveclub was announced in 2013, many hoped that it would be the console’s quintessential racer. With no PS4 Gran Turismo game scheduled for a while, Driveclub had the potential to be a breakout success and would be able to show potential PS4 buyers exactly what the console is made of. Just in case some didn’t want to buy, though, a PlayStation Plus edition of Driveclub was also announced, altough it would feature less tracks and options....

He’s older now, he should be a pilot like his hero… right? Dewey is bored with piloting so after watching five seconds of cloud kicking he decides this is going to be his new thing because it’s exciting!...

Dungeons and Dragons only continues to become more and more popular. The tabletop game’s fifth edition has seen record sales, helped along by shows like Stranger Things and Critical Role. The game certainly has some flaws but its open source nature has helped to make it many players first foray into the tabletop RPG genre. Valentine’s Day was a special day this year for gamers. Not only did the Twisted Metal franchise return for PS3 players, but Electronic Arts and BioWare let the world try out Mass Effect 3 for the first time via demo that included samples of both its single-player campaign and the series’ first ever multiplayer mode. On that same day, EA announced an amazing deal for PC gamers who are forced to utilize the browser-based Origin service: pre-order Mass Effect 3 and receive a FREE copy of Battlefield 3....

Overwatch’s newest hero, Echo, will go live on all platforms on April 14th. The high-flying DPS is the 32nd hero to be added to the game, and she’s been playable in the public test region (PTR) since March 19. Players who want to try her out on PTR before she hits the live scene will find that Echo’s primary shot fires a spray of three slow-moving bullets. Her secondary fire is a volley of six Sticky Bombs, which attach to enemies or obstacles and detonate after a brief period of time....

The resume indicates that in addition to designing costumes for lead actor Alaqua Cox, Caballero also worked for two others: Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio. If this is accurate, then we’re sure to see the long-awaited rematch between the two rivals....

EA Executive Vice President Patrick Söderlund went on the record to state how Electronic Arts would like to create ‘gigantic’ action games, like Ubisoft and Take Two. Although Electronic Arts has a plethora of shooters, sports games, and roleplaying games under its belt, there’s always room for expansion. These thoughts were echoed by current EA Studios Executive Vice President Patrick Söderlund, who recently went on record to say that Electronic Arts wants to make some truly gigantic action games....

Enthusiast Gaming has announced that it has purchased Omnia Media, a broker for gaming influencers like Shroud, Pokimane and MrBeast, for $38 million in cash and stock. According to Enthusiast CEO Adrian Montgomery, the company will now have 500 gaming influencers, which reach an estimated 25% of all YouTube users. Omnia, which is based in Los Angeles, is expected to add $53 million to Enthusiast’s revenue for a combined total of $83 million....

In one of the more bizarre crossovers to happen in recent months, Eric Trump has stumbled his way into anime territory with one of his recent tweets. The son of President Donald Trump took to Twitter in order to lash out at Google, which he accused of “manipulating Americans” with phony search results. His complaint? When one types “mob” or “mobs” into the search bar, the website produces mostly results from the anime Mob Psycho 100....
