It’s that time of year again and Secret Santas are making the rounds. Generally people are pretty happy by what some random stranger from halfway around the world has gifted them, but one player in space simulation EVE Online was not and also more than willing to share his thoughts on his benefactor in the Goonfleet forums....

Even though Ubisoft will see the release of another highly anticipated franchise this year in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, there’s another series fans are still waiting on. Just like seemingly every other Ubisoft franchise currently, it seems an entry in the Far Cry series will be on the way in the near future. Major delays aside, the fever dream shooter series is purported to be one of the many confirmed titles coming in Ubisoft’s upcoming fiscal year....

As the gaming community waits for the arrival of Halo’s newest game, Halo Infinite, some fans are finding excuses to replay the entire Halo franchise from scratch. It’s also never been easier, considering that all the games are packaged into the Master Chief Collection. Since they’re replaying the games anyway, players are, unsurprisingly, considering playing each game through on its hardest difficulty: legendary. The campaigns are notoriously difficult on this mode, especially when playing alone (since there’s no chance to be respawned or revived by your teammate, with the exception Halo 5’s questionable AI companions)....

Blizzconline 2021 was a very different Blizzcon for a variety of reasons, but perhaps the highlight of this year’s Blizzard showcase was the announcement of Diablo 2: Resurrected. The remaster will be faithful to the original but without dated two-dimensional graphics, replaced by a full modern visual overhaul. The company behind the remaster, Vicarious Visions, has seen success in recent years remastering games such as Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1&2 and the Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy....

Sports around the world have been on hold for the past three months, for the most part. It’s only now that leagues and tournaments are starting to get back underway. Only just releasing this past August, Fall Guys has had quite the incredible year. The obstacle course-styled battle royale game captured the hearts of many with its lighthearted, fun, and even frustrating gameplay, and just recently surpassed 11 million units sold on PC. Now well into its third season, Fall Guys has kept players busy with new winter-themed levels, obstacles, skins, and more rewards. And following in the footsteps of other battle royale games such as Fortnite, the game has begun to reveal special collaboration skins coming to the in-game shop....

Now that we’ve all had a good chance to digest the banquet of video games provided for us at E3, I think it’s safe to say that the hype hasn’t really sunk in for Fallout 76. Being a huge Fallout fan, I can remember oozing out with excitement when Fallout: New Vegas and 4 were announced. This time around, I’m excited, but a bit worried too. It seems the fanbase is in alignment with these thoughts, as Fallout 76 is shaping up to be the most polarizing Fallout game to date....

Even non-gamers know who he is, what he looks like, and how he talks. It makes sense, since he was part of some of the first games Nintendo did, and these games are what brought Nintendo into the limelight. The Walking Dead Twitter account made the official announcement just this week: Fear the Walking Dead has officially been renewed for a seventh season. A spin-off of The Walking Dead AMC show, Fear the Walking Dead began as a prequel to the original show, but is now set in the same time frame, and features the occasionally crossover. While the show had a rocky reception with season 5, it seems that season 6 picked up the pace and was better received overall, leading to AMC deciding to continue investing in the series....

A new season of Dimension 20 is now underway in its fifth season titled “A Crown of Candy,” with Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan and the party consisting of players Emily Axford, Ally Beardsley, Brian Murphy, Zac Oyama, Siobhan Thompson, and Lou Wilson. In this season, the party explores the land of Calorum, a place where the kingdoms are all themed after food groups. Everyone lives in fear of the ominous entity known as “The Hungry One” and viewers are in store for a food-fantasy medieval epic....

There’s currently a three-way race to become king of the toys-to-life gaming peripheral phenomenon popularized by Skylanders. Alongside Activision’s entry sits Nintendo’s Amiibo figurines and Disney Infinity, which brings characters from Disney and Disney-owned franchises into the gaming sphere. The Avalanche Software-developed series looked to be frontrunner, claiming to have beaten Skylanders in sales earlier this year - something that Activision denied. Legendary assassin Hit demonstrates why he’s the most deadly man in Universe 6 in the latest character trailer from Dragon Ball FighterZ. Accompanied by a smooth jazz soundtrack, which surprisingly suits him, the trailer sees Hit unleashing a beating on Super Saiyan Blue Goku.
