Lately, most of the information fans have gotten about Elden Ring have come largely from unverified sources, rumors, and leaks. Since the game’s surprising reveal at the Microsoft E3 Press Conference in 2019, From Software has gone fairly silent on what fans can expect from the highly anticipated title. While fans continue to eagerly await any scrap of news, the reason behind the lack of consistent updates may be related more to legal issues than a development one....

After years of searching and many mysterious hints and clues, an Elite: Dangerous player finally makes contact with the elusive Thargoid alien species. While some gamers are still lamenting the disappointing outcome of No Man’s Sky, other gamers have moved on to other space simulator titles like Star Citizen and Elite: Dangerous. The latter of these two, Elite: Dangerous, has been available for a couple years, and continues to receive regular updates and features for players to enjoy....

Fortnite Season 8 is now just days away and rather than the expected theme of fire, it would appear that we’re about to welcome pirates to the island. One Fallout 4 fan creates a helpful mod that allows players keep track of the action-RPG’s covey of companions throughout the entirety of the Wasteland. Thanks to the Fallout 4 modder known as “drdanzel”, fans of Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic title will now be able to keep tabs on where to find each and every companion no matter if they’re currently in players’ parties or not. Of course, this means that whenever fans dismiss the characters from taking part in any further quests, but then decide to later reenlist an inactive companion for their services, it will be a lot easier tracking them down....

One Fallout 4 player recreates the epic battle between One-Punch Man and his powerful enemy Lord Boros using Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic game as the setting. The Fallout 4 Wasteland has now been used to host a recreation of the knock-down, drag-out war between anime character sensation Saitama, AKA One-Punch Man, and his enemy, the leader of the alien invader group Dark Matter Thieves, Lord Boros. In order to remake the memorable encounter between the two combatants, YouTuber EzPlays turned the action-RPG’s protagonist into Saitama, and gave a unique paint job to a Deathclaw in order to make it look like Lord Boros....

The trailer for Fallout 76 took just about everyone by surprise. To have a brand new Fallout title announced when many thought Bethesda would probably be announcing a Fallout 3 remaster was shocking enough, so the subsequent leaks suggesting the game will be an online multiplayer experience only added to the chaos. Naturally, every Bethesda fan is desperately trying to make sense of the game. With this being the case, it seems like a good idea to scour through past titles in the series to see if we can find any clues about what Fallout 76 might have in store for players....

It’s been a couple of rough months for Konami fans. There has been a good amount of turmoil within the company lately as famed Metal Gear developer, Hideo Kojima, has apparently been fired, which led to his name being removed from other game projects and media branding – including his studio name in Los Angeles. With the Metal Gear franchise being scrubbed clean of the Kojima name, there was still a sense of hope that Kojima’s other title in development, Silent Hills, would be left alone....

Over the past few years DICE’s Frostbite engine has grown from the visually astounding backbone of the Battlefield franchise to the premiere graphics engine for publisher Electronic Arts. In fact, the publisher is so deeply invested in Frostbite — now in its third iteration — that they are building almost all of their upcoming next-gen games on it. However, although we know that Frostbite 3 will be, or was, used for some premiere titles like Battlefield 4, Mirror’s Edge 2, and BioWare’s next Mass Effect title, we don’t know the full extent of the engine’s reach — specifically, how many Frostbite 3 games EA has in development....

Sony has quietly revealed that Dishonored 2 is being removed from its PlayStation Now service by updating the game’s page with a removal date. Investigated by PushSquare, a quick visit to Dishonored 2 on PS Now reveals that the game will be leaving the service on June 1st, just five days from when it was updated. Games leave the service all the time, but what makes this removal especially strange is that Dishonored 2 has been included on PlayStation Now for well over a year with no indication that its inclusion on the service was ever timed....

It may have been predicted by some following the financial under-performance of Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, but Disney has finally confirmed the closure of Junction Point Studios. With only two games produced starring Disney’s most famous mascot, Warren Spector’s collective of like-minded developers are now out of work. Disney, to their credit, did not make any reference to the sales or critical reception of either installment in the Epic Mickey series when making the official statement, instead addressing the closure as a sign of the overall games industry and new direction for the company’s video game branch:...

Nearly two months after Operation Dark Hours launched in The Division 2, Ubisoft has added a new, easier difficulty for console players to use as training for the normal difficulty setting. The change comes along with information about the release of the first episode for the game, which is the latest content update. While this allows console players who have yet to defeat the raid to experience the content, it is not exactly what most were hoping for in terms of a solution....

A role as the villain of any Stephen King movie is a big enough deal as it is, but what about the antagonist in the sequel to one of the most beloved King adaptations ever made? It’s a huge deal. This week Bloomberg reported a rumour that Disney is in discussions with the BBC to acquire streaming rights to a new series of Doctor Who. The rumour has spawned a lot of takes, despite the report itself pointing out that talks are in early stages and nothing is guaranteed. Not a Disney Princess Some have pointed to the ambiguity of the phrase “rights to a new Doctor Who series”, wondering if the deal concerns the next season starring Ncuti Gatwa as the 14th Doctor, or whether this is an as-yet unannounced spin-off spawned from new Bad Wolf Studios subsidiary WHONIVERSE1 Ltd, which was filed for earlier this year....

Developer id Software officially confirms its plans to bring a bevy of much-needed improvements to the multiplayer mode of the wildly popular first-person shooter DOOM. As many fans of id Software’s DOOM reboot will agree, the title’s single-player campaign not only provides fun, fast-paced gameplay enriched with great gun combat and brutal kills, but it’s also an extremely worthy successor to the now-classic original release in the franchise. Interestingly enough, though, a lot of players are also of the same mind that the shooter’s multiplayer modes are lacking in more ways than one, as the online component across all platforms doesn’t have features such as custom settings, choosing or voting on maps, or private matches, and its PC port is plagued with cheating....

One of manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump’s newer hits, Dr. Stone has slowly been growing in popularity since it debuted in 2017. Winner of the prestigious 2019 Shogakukan Manga Award for the shonen category, Dr. Stone received an anime adaptation last year, and now it seems a mobile game is in the works. Dr. Stone comes from the same family of franchises that make up the Jump Force stable, but as of yet, no characters from the series have featured in the Bandai Namco brawler....
