Bethesda reveals the extensive customization options players have in DOOM multiplayer, along with showing a number of unlocks through the progression system in a new trailer. With the release date quickly approaching, Bethesda is starting to pull back the curtain even more on the upcoming shooter DOOM. The title recently finished off a successful closed beta, giving select players the chance to go hands-on with the arena-style multiplayer mode and get a better feel for how this modern take on the classic franchise feels....

Netflix has made a lot of people happy with the surprise trailer release for an upcoming anime series. The new series is based off the popular video game franchise DOTA and by the looks of the trailer, it is going to be an action-packed ride that will surely impress fans and newcomers! The series, officially titled DOTA: Dragon’s Blood, will be an eight-episode anime series that is set to launch globally on March 25....

Akira Toriyama’s ever-popular Dragon Ball Z franchise has been airing on television since 1986 and continues strong today with Dragon Ball Super. Over the years we’ve seen some pretty crazy fights and even crazier transformations of the Saiyan race. Saiyans are an alien warrior race that was wiped out by Frieza, leaving a handful of survivors which seems to grow every few years when they need a new movie or new season....

He places his hands, palms down, over the casket, and wisps of black smoke eke from his palms. Piotyr’s body sits upright and turns to face the procession. The crowd bursts into commotion, but drowning out all other noise is the high pitch of a mother’s scream....

While commenting on the lower than expected sales figures for Titanfall 2, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen reaffirms that the company is taking a long term view for the title. It’s been a tough road for Titanfall 2 since launching late in October. While the game has been highly praised by both critics and fans alike for delivering on the promise of entertaining multiplayer and a memorable single player campaign, the sales figures have been underwhelming....

EA is rebranding its Origin and Access subscription services to be called EA Play, which won’t be confusing at all. As with many big publishers these days, EA has a game subscription service that you can purchase for access to their vast library of games. EA Access is for consoles (namely the PS4 and Xbox One), while EA Origin Access is for PC. Origin as a brand has been on a long, steady decline for EA, and with EA’s library arriving on Steam and this latest rebranding announcement, it looks like Origin is soon going to go the way of the dodo....

Announced today, the EA Sports Madden NFL “The Yard” Invitational is a brand-new team-based competition featuring the newest mode that was added to the franchise with Madden 21. The competition will showcase some of the most well-known Madden NFL 21 Championship players in history teaming up with influencers to take on one another in head-to-head (three-on-three, rather) games. The Madden NFL “The Yard” Invitational reimagines the traditional one-on-one competitive Madden competition with teams of three battling it out to score the most points in a limited series of drives....

As it turns out, at least according to George R. R. Martin, Elden Ring doesn’t just look like Dark Souls 4, it is a sequel to the flagship FromSoftware series, making it exactly that. Maybe he’s just mixing up the term with a spiritual successor, or perhaps he wrote Elden Ring as though it was Dark Souls 4. “The game is called Elden Ring and it’s a sequel to a video game that came out a few years ago called Dark Souls,” Martin stated, “My work on it was actually done years ago....

Elden Ring is the upcoming collaboration between FromSoftware and George R.R. Martin that was officially revealed at E3 2019. There has only been a brief trailer of Elden Ring shown during Microsoft’s conference at E3, which only contained cinematic footage, but the people at FromSoftware have slowly been revealing more information about the game in interviews. Hidetaka Miyazaki directed such classic titles as Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and is currently working on Elden Ring....

Plenty of studios seem to be flocking to Hungary for upcoming projects, whether it’s Jack Ryan, an upcoming Marvel project, Dune, or the video-game adaptation of the Borderlands series. Death Wish’s Eli Roth is directing the movie with Cate Blanchett cast as Lilith and Kevin Hart rumored to be playing Roland. At long last, filming is finally underway. Not much is known about the film yet, such as who will be voicing Claptrap, playing the other 2 main characters, or when it will be released, but given that it’s been listed as an action-adventure comedy on IMDb, it’s no surprise that it’s reportedly went for star-power with Kevin Hart and enlisted writers with comedic backgrounds....

The new Outbreak game mode in Black Ops: Cold War is out and brings a new way to play zombies. Outbreak brings players the same zombies love but in the Warzone map. Ganondorf might have as many names as Danaerys Targaryen. He is at one point called King of Evil, King of Thieves, the Dark Lord, King of Darkness, Prince of Darkness, and more. But every game in the Legend of Zelda series has seen a different version of Link, as well as Ganon. An important differentiation to make here is that Ganon and Ganondorf are not quite the same. The Hyrule Historia claims that “Ganondorf” refers to his humanoid form....

Destiny 2 and its developer Bungie are both in a weird spot right now. The developer is recently single and is now self-publishing and developing Destiny 2’s expansions without Activision overseeing them. Bungie’s also likely in the very early stages of development on Destiny 3 as well. Every year players expect a brand new expansion for Destiny games and in 2019 they’ll be getting their hands on Shadowkeep, which has players returning to the Moon, a location they haven’t visited since the first Destiny....

Ex-Battlefield and Payday 2 developer David Goldfarb reveals his new project, a horror game called Project Wight where players play as a monster fighting vikings. David Goldfarb is known for his work on the Battlefield franchise, and for his stint as game director of Payday 2. Two years ago, Goldfarb made the decision to leave AAA game development behind, starting his own studio with other Battlefield series veterans. Goldfarb’s studio, The Outsiders, has finally revealed its first project, an intriguing horror game currently known as Project Wight....

Magic: The Gathering will soon enter the Viking age with Kaldheim. The next set puts Planeswalkers in a winter world of bloody battle and sagas worthy of song. Those sagas will actually be a new mechanic, allowing players to reap rewards for completing a series of deeds. But Kaldheim will also bring back an older mechanic from MTG past: Snow. On the surface, snow simply reimagines classic magic lands with a more powdery look....
