Fortnite may have slipped in popularity slightly from the mountaintop of pop-culture it once stood on, but it’s still relevant enough that everywhere one turns, it can be seen on shirts, backpacks, TVs, and mobile devices. Epic Games is continuing to take advantage of the popularity of the battle royale, and the most recent evidence of this is that it is inviting Fortnite players to design ‘“Free Fortnite” merchandise. The “Free Fortnite” phrase is referencing Epic’s ongoing legal battle with Apple....

If you think you’re good enough at Fortnite that it could basically be your career, well we may have some good news for you below. It feels as if anyone who’s anyone right now is playing Fortnite. You can play it on your consoles, you can play it on your PC, you can play it on your iPhone, and soon the phenomenon will be coming to Android too. The battle royale style game simply features 100 players dropping into an expansive map with nothing but an axe to swing, and they all fight until only one person remains....

Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park was so groundbreaking in its use of computer-generated effects that it inspired George Lucas to make the Star Wars prequels, Peter Jackson to make The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and Stanley Kubrick to make A.I.: Artificial Intelligence (although he died during pre-production and Spielberg ended up directing it). Following its launch back in August, Fall Guys has gone on to become one of the biggest multiplayer behemoths of the year, boasting millions of players and a vocal community. Fall Guys’ second season officially begins tomorrow, which will plunge the vibrant battle royale game into a medieval-themed world of witches, wizards, and colorful castles. In the build-up to this major update, Fall Guys’ Twitter account has revealed some of the new outfits players can dress their adorable avatars with once the season begins....

Fans discover that in the latest update for Fallout 4, Bethesda has patched out the popular infinite bottle caps glitch, without declaring so in the patch notes. With massive games like Fallout 4, bugs and glitches are to be expected. Luckily, Bethesda is usually quick to recognize these issues and patch them out of their games with frequent updates, with Fallout 4 receiving its first update across various platforms over the course of this past week....

Bethesda is issuing its latest robust patch for Fallout 76, the post-apocalyptic online multiplayer game set in the popular Fallout universe. Patch 5 will be the first patch since Patch 4 several weeks ago, when a fix for item duplication was implemented but ultimately didn’t slow down the practice. As such, the January 29 Fallout 76 patch is approaching the issue in a new way that Bethesda hopes will sideswipe item dupers....

The studio is well known for crafting well-rounded, engaging characters that fans can become immensely attached to. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was only recently released and has earned critical acclaim. Funded on Kickstarter as an alternative to Konami’s dormant Castlevania series and even directed by Koji Igarashi, who produced many of the Castlevania games, it’s safe to say that it lived up to many fans’ expectations. Unfortunately, like many Kickstarter titles, it’s not without its drama, as those who own the Switch version (which just came out yesterday and was made in lieu of the intended Wii U port being canceled) have expressed their dissatisfaction with it due to a myriad of problems....

Yesterday, Rocksteady Studios released a new trailer for the much-anticipated Batman: Arkham Knight, offering a new look at the culmination of their highly-acclaimed superhero trilogy. However, there may be more to the trailer than first impressions would suggest, as some eagle-eyed fans have spotted a few secret codes hidden away amongst the footage. Three suspicious alphanumeric strings were detected in the trailer, each rather difficult to spot. Speculation began to circulate that these codes should be used on a password-protected section of the official Arkham Knight website, but early attempts to do so proved fruitless — it seemed there was another step to solve this puzzle....

Just a week after Far Cry 5 rumors started to swirl the official trailer and release date are here to make things official. The rumored Montana setting seems to have been correct, but players are not in the wild west at all. Instead, it seems like the protagonist will be stuck in the middle of an incredibly frightening and violent religious cult in modern rural Montana. In true Far Cry fashion, the larger than life antagonist is truly terrifying....

Someone is remaking the original Far Cry using CryEngine 5, and it looks absolutely incredible. Back in the day, Far Cry was a sensation. Originally born from a tech-demo of the nascent CryEngine from CryTek, it then grew into a full-fledged first-person shooter that had the feel of a Hollywood action movie. And for the time, it was an absolutely gorgeous game that set the bar for graphics quality for years....

Hideaki Itsuno, known for directing multiple Devil May Cry games and Dragon’s Dogma, has been working on a new project for quite some time. Itsuno initially promised that his new game would be announced in 2017, but the year has come and passed with no announcement. This may leave some fans worried that the project has hit a snag, but Itsuno has taken to Twitter to lay those worries to rest....

Ever since 1999, Digimon has been releasing video games at a steady rate. Swapping genres like they are going out of fashion and known for fluctuating hugely in quality from release to release, the monster-catching franchise has struggled to build any sustainable momentum over the last two decades. For every good Digimon title, there exists a misguided one that presents the license as directionless. Digimon has an identity crisis, at least when it comes to its games....

To be clear, a B+ from the industry pollsters is seen as (faintly) acceptable, but it does suggest word-of-mouth is not overly enthusiastic, which always is a warning sign to studios. It also speaks to perhaps why the movie was so front-loaded, with Multiverse of Madness earning an astounding $90 million on Friday alone, yet still being unable to cross $200 million. This is probably due to a more diverse pool of opinion among moviegoers than NWH or Black Panther....

One of the most (in)famous things in the first Destiny was that game’s loot caves. These were certain sections of the game with low-level enemies which could be easily killed and farmed for loot. It now seems that loot caves have carried over to Destiny 2. The Nessus loot cave is believed to be the first discovered in the game so far and is relatively easy to access. To get to it, Destiny 2 players must go to the Exodus Black Landing Zone and visit the cave on the right-hand side of the area, hopping on their Sparrow to get to the first chamber of the cave quicker....

Disney fanatics are excited for Raya and the Last Dragon, the newest Disney “princess” movie. But since the release of the trailer in October people were quick to draw comparisons between the movie and the Avatar: The Last Airbender series. Raya and the Last Dragon, due out in March of 2021, features Star Wars actress Kelly Marie Tran as the titular character. The film takes place in Kumandra, a fantasy world, where the warrior Raya must find the last remaining dragon to save her kingdom....

The reputation as the most feared entity in Hell definitely belongs to the Doom Slayer from the Doom series. He’s spent a considerable amount of time hunting down demons across the hierarchy in his effort to keep Earth save and cleanse Hell. While the Doom Slayer possess and incredible amount of power through various means he does have his weaknesses. This means that there are other heroes in other games who when put face to face with him might stand a chance of defeating the Doom Slayer should the need ever arise....
