Collector’s editions are all the rage with publishers trying to make extra cash off of games and Nintendo is no exception to that. While the Big N would occasionally create small bundles for its games in the past, the launch of the Switch has really ramped up production on them. Breath of the Wild, for instance, had two separate ones. The upcoming release of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is set to get one and, wouldn’t you know it, the European version is plain better....

The Yakuza series has gone from being rather niche to booming in popularity. The games are no longer restricted to being PlayStation exclusives and are now available for Xbox One and PC as well, allowing even more gamers to get hands-on with Kiryu and his companions. The most recent title to launch, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, was a huge success despite mixing things up with a more RPG format, and the spin-off game Judgment has proven successful enough to warrant a sequel....

Fangoria is officially back in the movie business. Following up on their announcement back in September, new Fango owners Tara Ansley and Abhi Goel have launched Fangoria Studios, a new company that plans to use the venerable horror magazine’s trademark brand to develop TV shows, movies, and podcasts in both the sci-fi and horror genres. Ansley, a film producer (Tragedy Girls), purchased Fangoria last year alongside Goel, a tech entrepreneur. According to Ansley, they plan to “draw upon the Fangoria brands” for new projects, as well as Fango’s sister publications Starlog, a science-fiction magazine that’s been defunct since 2009, and Gorezone, which is now a website for daily horror news....

There is still a ton that fans do not know about the Call of Duty 2020 box that was shipped to the streaming community. Although the puzzle only led to another puzzle, fans are still going through the contents searching for any possible connection to the Call of Duty franchise. While it was quickly established that the map pieces inside the Call of Duty 2020 crate were of Summit, fans are still searching for all the numbered map locations....

The economy of Silver Dust, the new material added in the Rise of Iron expansion, will be getting some changes very soon based on feedback from the game’s fans. Silver Dust is a new form of currency in Destiny: Rise of Iron whose primary function is to “set” new ornaments on weapons and armor. A new trailer gives a brief overview of the story before switching gears and focusing entirely on the eccentric cast of characters that players will get to know during their journey. Aside from the plot and character reveals, the English voice acting cast also amazes with fantastic line delivery throughout....

Doctor Who was filled with surprises this year. First was the announcement that Russell T. Davies, the man most responsible for bringing Doctor Who back to television in 2005, would be returning as showrunner. Then came the special “The Power of the Doctor,” which saw Jodie Whittaker regenerate not into Ncuti Gatwa, slated to play the next Doctor, but into former Doctor David Tennant, who will star in a 60th Anniversary three-parter next November....

Zevran is a fan-favorite from Dragon Age Origins. He is an assassin sent after you and your party members. Once defeated though, he offers to join you.
