FaZe Clan, one of the most prominent esports organizations on the planet, have partnered with the National Football League for limited edition merchandise as part of the NFL’s “Draft-A-Thon.” This shows progression for the esports scene as it continues to make strides with mainstream consumers. The exclusive merchandise consists of a shirt and hoodie. They will be available starting Thursday, April 23 at 12:00 p.m. PST / 3:00 p.m. EST.

The NFL’s “Draft-A-Thon” is a three-day virtual fundraiser to help battle the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. With the NFL draft going virtual this year for obvious reasons, the door opened for those more familiar with the virtual world to have part in this unprecedented moment. FaZe Clan is one of those more familiar. This isn’t the first time the two giants have partnered up either as they began a partnership to kick-off the 2019 season.

Fans have the opportunity to watch the NFL draft on a variety of platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, designated NFL digital properties and Twitch- the leading video-game streaming site. Those who would like to donate to the relief efforts can do so right here. FaZe Clan members who are quarantined in their Hollywood home will host a watch party during the first round of the Draft on Thursday, April 23.

Esports seems like it still has a long way before being completely taken serious on a competitive level, especially with the reluctant “traditional sports” fans who want no part of the scene. Continued partnering with the National Football League, the most popular professional sport in America, could be a giant step in the right direction. What better organization to help make that leap than FaZe Clan.
