Although Fate/Grand Order players have just finished up the Fate/Zero rerun, they won’t be getting any breaks since the next event is starting immediately after maintenance. From September 14th to September 29th, the Battle in New York 2020 will be available for everyone who has completed the Fuyuki prologue.

Battle in New York 2020 is a continuation of the annual Nero Fest which has already taken place 3 times. Usurping the Roman Colosseum and festivities, Gilgamesh has relocated this year’s event to the grandest stage of them all in New York where the strongest servants will be decided. In addition to some challenging exhibition matches, there is an unlimited farming opportunity that both veteran and new players can take advantage of during “Gilfest”.

Tournament Quests

For the next 2 weeks, free quests will change every few days from Qualifiers to the Main Event and then the Finals. Each set of quests will drop different event currency and ascension items according to 5 difficulties: Street, Club, Gym, Arena, and Garden. Qualifiers will go until September 17th, the Main Event then runs until September 22nd, and the Finals last until September 29th. Because previous quests won’t be available, Fate/Grand Order players should complete each quest at least once to get the Golden Fruit first clear bonus.

Event Shop

During the Battle in New York 2020, there are 3 event shop currencies that drop from various free quests. Players will need to gather 3400 Muscle Burgers, 3150 Strong Dogs, and 2500 Wild Fries to purchase the CEs and ascension materials in the shop. However, there’s also a stock of limited items including command codes which can only be cleared out with 48 Bars of Gold. This fourth and final shop currency doesn’t drop from quests, but comes from the event lottery.

Lottery

While doing any quest, a fifth event currency called KoH Lottery Tickets will drop. These tickets can be used 2 or 20 at a time to roll for 1 or 10 random items from the lottery. Each item pool contains skill gems and other servant strengthening materials, AP-restoring fruits, as well as a Grand Prize for the first 10 lineups.

Note that the current lineup can be immediately reset once the Grand Prize is claimed, but lineups 11 and onward must be fully cleared before the option becomes available.

Event Craft Essences

There are 2 CEs with special effects that can be acquired through the Lottery and Event Shop respectively.

  • Grudge Match, +100% (+200% if MLB) damage to the equipped servant C.K.T., +1 (+2 if MLB) to KoH Lottery Ticket drops

Additionally, 3 more CEs that boost event currency drops can be summoned from the gacha.

  • Gilgamesh in NY, +1 (+2 if MLB) to Muscle Burger drops Dazzling in a Skyscraper, +1 (+2 if MLB) to Strong Dog drops Showtime, +1 (+2 if MLB) to Wild Fries drops

Best Places to Farm

Unlike F/GO’s Summer 2020 Festival and previous events, the optimal places to farm will shift according to the tournament schedule. As a result, there will be different enemies and ascension materials available at the best nodes throughout Battle in New York 2020.
