In just a few days, Mass Effect Legendary Edition will bring the remastered game to PC, PS4, and Xbox One. However, some Mass Effect fans aren’t willing to wait that long to be reunited with their favorite squadmates. One such player decided to get ahead of ME: Legendary Edition by recreating the Shepard squad on everyone’s favorite game, Skyrim.
We have Reddit user Da_Great_Pineapple for sharing their creation on the Mass Effect subreddit. The posted gallery shows what each character would look like if their species were translated into an Elder Scrolls race, as well as what their outfit might look like.
Starting with Garrus Vakarian as Shoots-from-Afar, the Argonian marksman. Turians are actually more bird-like than lizard-like, but then again, birds descended from dinosaurs, so Argonian seems to be the best possible fit.
Next is Tali’Zorah as Talis R’aa the Tinkerer. The Nightingale Hood does an excellent job of replicating the Quarian helmet and completely obscuring Talis’ face. She could be literally any of Skyrim’s races and we’d have no way of telling which one.
Urdnot Wrex is Wraxul the Orchish Warlord, to literally nobody’s surprise. The Krogans and the Orcs share a lot of similar interests when it comes to warfare, so Orc is really the only choice for Wrex. The Orcish armor is also a great fit here.
Liara T’Sonie as an Altmer Elf makes a whole lot of sense. The Altmer are the longest-lived, the most magic-attuned (replicating Biotics in Mass Effect), and the best-dressed of Skyrim’s races. She’s played by the companion Tessarie the Sorceress.
Both Kaidan and Ashley are Imperials wearing Imperial Armor, which tracks with Imperials basically being stand-ins for humanity at large in the Skyrim world. Canadius the Sentinel is a great name for the roman-looking Kaidan stand-in, while Viella the Warrior looks a lot like Skyrim’s first companion, Lydia.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition arrives on May 14. Head on over to the Mass Effect website for some free stuff, including the game’s soundtrack and promo materials that were previously part of the Mass Effect 2 and 3 Deluxe Editions.
