The controversial game Fallout 76 vastly expanded on the number of weapons that could be looted throughout the world in comparison to previous Fallout games. Because of this large selection of deadly toys, some weapons were bound to be weaker than others and don’t see much use by Fallout 76 players. With weapons like a Walking Cane and Pool Cue it’s no surprise either!

This list will show players 10 terrible weapons that they shouldn’t be taking into battle unless they’re trying to squish a radroach. From rifles made out of junk all the way to tools meant for toilets here are 10 absolutely useless weapons that no player wants to use!

10 Golf Club

The Golf Club is an extremely weak and generic melee weapon in Fallout 76. It can be found near the golf course in the game among other various places throughout the map. Many players like to collect at least one of these weapons because it is a neat thing being able to beat down on Super Mutants with nothing but a skinny club.

Although the Golf Club is a fun collectible it is extremely weak. Most wastelanders are looking for something with a bit of power but the Golf Club is more useful if they want to try to hit a hole in one!

9 Pipe Rifle

Pipe weapons are known for their bare minimum power because of the scavenged scrap that they are created from. Any Fallout 76 player knows that this is one weapon that they wouldn’t want to have when fighting the stronger mutants in the game.

The Pipe Rifle inflicts enemies with an extremely low amount of damage and it uses .38 rounds of ammo. Players will want to be careful bringing this weapon to a gunfight with another player because they aren’t likely to be victorious while wielding this junk gun.

8 10mm Pistol

The 10mm Pistol is one of the most basic guns in the Fallout world. Because of how easy it is to obtain by the player it has very low base damage. Although this pistol is a reliable gun, it isn’t very useful for players in a tough fight because its damage output and rate of fire just aren’t very high.

There isn’t a gun in the Fallout world that’s more commonly known for having minimum damage than the 10mm pistol which is why this gun deserves a spot on this list as one of the weakest weapons in Fallout 76. But at least it uses a common ammo type!

7 Flare Gun

The Flare Gun’s true purpose is to act as a signal to attract allies however as with most non-weapons, Fallout 76 players will occasionally use this item to attack their enemies. The Flare Gun does a ridiculously minuscule amount of damage to creatures in the world because it wasn’t designed for combat.

The Flare Gun cannot be upgraded in any way which makes it even weaker. Players should keep looking if they want a reliable pistol because the Flare Gun can hardly even be considered a gun which is why it deserves its spot on this list.

6 Rolling Pin

The Rolling Pin is about as weak as most players imagine it would be. It only does 9-28 damage depending on the level and it requires a measly 3 wood along with 3 screws to craft at a workbench.

Players don’t take this kitchen tool into battle very often and it’s no surprise why when it’s so weak both in appearance and in damage. When a weapon is a kitchen tool used for cooking it should be assumed that it won’t be a top tier weapon. Fans of the game should steer clear of this weapon, anything else will probably be a stronger choice.

5 Switchblade

Switchblades are great for skinning animals and defending yourself from unarmed humans however in a battle with a giant mutant crab, it’s not quite as powerful. Depending on the level of the switchblade this weapon can do 14-30 damage, a low number that few weapons can rival in terms of weakness.

This tiny knife is quite common in the game so players will probably pick up at least one of these while scouring the wastes. Having a switchblade in a pocket is never a bad idea, but always keep a strong gun close by as well!

4 Pool Cue

Pool is a game that lots of people love to play but are pool cues good as weapons? Fallout 76 proves that they definitely are not. The Pool Cue weighs one pound and does a measly amount of damage.

One thing that is unique about the Pool Cue weapon compared to other weak melee weapons is that it has two modifications that can be applied to it. However, these modifications are not good enough to make the Pool Cue a competitive weapon so this skinny stick deserves a place on this list.

3 Walking Cane

Waking Canes are usually seen with injured or elderly people that need help walking. Fallout 76 decided that they looked like they could be a good addition to combat and added Walking Canes in as a satirical weapon.

The Walking Cane looks exactly as a player would expect it to look and it does a very small amount of damage to enemies. Walking canes may cause a bit of pain to a small animal if struck but soldiers walking around in Power Armor probably aren’t going to be defeated with this walking aid alone which is why this little cane is one of the weakest weapons in Fallout 76.

2 Pipe Pistol

The Pipe Pistol is one of the weakest weapons in the game. Every post-apocalyptic gunslinger knows that this gun is famous for its inconsistency and weak damage. New players will probably pick this gun up expecting more from it than it has to offer and they’ll be sorely disappointed when it lets them down.

There are so many better guns that are found commonly throughout the game world that it’s surprising that this pistol would ever get used. Players should be cautious when using this gun made out of spare parts because it is liable to break apart in the middle of battle.

1 Pipe Wrench

The Pipe Wrench in Fallout 76 is probably better for fixing a pipe than it is for smacking around ghouls. This is yet another real life-based item that made it’s way into the Fallout games as a weapon because of its makeshift weapon potential.

The Pipe Wrench weighs a measly 2 pounds and although that may be better than some of the lighter household objects it still won’t be enough to kill the Strongest mutants with. This handy man’s best friend is probably best left for plumbing but at least if a little radroach wanders out of a crawlspace players will be ready!
